Lots of Memorial stones and monuments are there. Very badly damaged in 1819 and 2001 earthquakes but still lot to get from heritage park. its maintained by ASI. timing is from Sunrise to Sunset. Video camera is allowed only with prior permission.

The temple is hardly 2.5 kms from Narayan Sarovar. It has observed that the Temple is of Lord Shiva. A beautiful temple is on the height near the seashore . All the road ends here. Since Pakistan Border is not so far, say around 40 kms from the spot, observed military movement in the entire vicinity. One have to climb certain steps to reach to the temple. A beautiful temple found very neat and clean. Since the temple is on height, one can have a good photographs of all the side. It is highly recommended to visit Koteshwar Temple when at Kutch, Gujarat. It's Must visit place.

I chose a full Moon day in February. A bus from the Tent City and a camel cart drove us into the vast expanse of the Desert. I walked toward the horizon and it receded from me as I approached, leaving only the white crust of salt all around me. The sight put me into a trance. Never before had I encountered with such an otherworldly sight. The Sun set on the white desert. A strange feeling of smallness crept into my heart before the enormity of the wilderness of The Nature. I got back to the Tent and again, around 10 pm, I was driven into the place with the Full Moon overhead. And Lo and Behold! It is where the fairies land to whisper their mysteries into the ear. I was really hypnotized by the beauty of the Great Desert. The chill of February night didn't touch me.

The entire experience of visiting the White Rann was truly memorable. We stayed at the Tent city for a night and visited the Rann from there . The Tent city stay was brilliant ,from the welcome to the food ( a little more variety could do more good to International travellors ) ,entertainment ,amenities (there are cycles, carts, ziplines ,para motoring ,spa within the Tent city top class . Every morning and evening there are buses taking the guests to the Rann. After a little ride ,you take camel carts to the centre. The view is breathtaking ,white all around. You have local artisans there .There is provision to wear Kutchi attire and take photos. We did that. The best part is the sunset and walking on the salt flat .We infact were a bit doubtful whether the salt flats had formed this year or not.Since we kept hearing that there was unprecedented rainfall in that area. But it was so breathtaking the view around us.So glad we went for a stay at the Tent city for the year end celebrations in 2019 .After sunset instead of taking the bus back to the city ,we took the camel cart and the ride in pitch darkness was thrilling. Rann Utsav and the White Rann together make a truly winning package for anybody.Highly recommended trip for all ages.

The Memorial’s objective is to pay tribute to the contribution of Shyamji Krishna Varma and also to educate the young generation about those great Indians who sacrificed everything for the country’s freedom. I must say that under the leadership of then CM, Narendrbhai Modi did a remarkable job.

Imposing gates into this walled 'city' - left to ruin. walls that run for 7kms, watch towers, imposing gates leading to the now desolate 'dock'. Where once Im sure trade flourished between the North African & Middle Eastern ports. There is a Gurudwara built on the site where Guru Nanak stayed on his way to Mecca. It houses his padukas, and a few of his belongings. in the distance is a mosque. And a temple. A short distance from the fort,10 kms off the main road , are Buddhist cells. Apparently - possibly the ones mentioned by 7th century traveller Hsuan Tsang , as 'Buddhist cells near the mouth of the Indus'. But the most striking structure in Lakhpat was possibly the 'rest house'. Four rooms around a courtyard which served as a common rest house for people of all faiths visiting their holy shrines in Lakpat. What a rich heritage we have !
