We had a group of 9, 5 were children. We did the playground escape game which was perfect for the children to enjoy as well as the adult, so many twist and turns, many surprises throughout the game. Trust me when I say you won't be disappointed. Take the kids and check it out.

Glass artist David Gappa founded Vetro in 1999. During that time, Gappa cultivated a team of glass artists who perform their art of glassblowing in Vetro’s state-of-the-art working studio. The studio and attached fine art glass gallery are located in the historic district of Grapevine, Texas. In addition to creating fine art glass, Vetro artists enjoy educating the public about this ancient art form through live demonstrations and hands-on events. Simultaneously, Vetro’s friendly and inviting gallery staff create a relaxed and comfortable gallery atmosphere in which to browse and shop.
Beautiful, creative, unusual pieces of blown glass. One large piece....a hermit crab on top of a piece of lava rock is unbelievable. Brilliant work. Nice selection of pieces....very talented artist.

Absolutely beautiful!! We have been here numerous times, and I love all of the changes that are being made. It’s small and cozy, but doesn’t lack things to see and enjoy. A good spot for a quiet stroll or time to just relax. It is also an active place with the community. Summer concerts or movies, exploration for kids and the Butterfly Flutterby is absolutely incredible, and an event we look forward to each year!

We love the Palace Theatre. There are excellent shows year round; comfortable seating in a historic setting; and it’s located in wonderful downtown Grapevine, which is especially fun at Christmastime. This season we have attended a movie and three concerts, and enjoyed them all. Overall, we feel that they make a sincere attempt to comply with COVID health precautions. They have reduced guest capacity, and they could not be more clear on their website that they want their guests to wear masks during performances. Nevertheless, some people take them off when they sit down. I understand! They are uncomfortable and the medical advice regarding masks has been conflicting, to say the least. But if you choose to go somewhere that states that it’s a requirement, you put them in a difficult position when you refuse to comply. At our last concert, there was less compliance than at the previous performances. This upset some guests, who complained to the staff, who then had to walk through during the performance asking people to put their masks back on, which probably made THEM upset...It just seems unfair to businesses like this who are trying to get back on their feet. Anyway, we are fans of this theatre and look forward to our next visit. If you are new to Grapevine, there is free public parking a block behind the theatre and at several other locations downtown.

Stopped to see 9/11 memorial while attending convention at Gaylord Texan a short distance away. I'm not sure why it's on an intersection in Grapevine other than the DFW airport is nearby. Anyway, I don't like scuplture that is all symbol and no realism. This installation has a nice balance of both elements. We do not see dead pilots or hijackers brandishing knives, but the slightly larger than life flight attendants and the young girl, while reprensentative of all aboard the fatal flights, are still recognizably human. We know they couldn't completely stop the tragedy, as the pieces from the Pentagon and the world trade center make uncomfortably clear, but they did the best they could to the very end. This is symbolized by the female flight attendant holding her hand up in a stop signal and shielding the young girl behind her. Police and firefighter memorials are located around the ouside ring of the larger sculpture. Later in the week I had a long layover in New York and was able to visit the world trade center memorial which brought this all home again. It was not the first attack on American soil (Pancho Vila raided Columbus NM, the Germans tried to destroy the statue of liberty in WW I which is why the torch was replaced and you can no longer go up it) but it was deadliest

I walked over to Grapevine Mills quite a bit whilst staying at the Hilton. Less than 5 minute walk and perfectly safe. Massive choice of shops to browse around. I liked Sun and Ski, Nike, Asics, Texas Treasures, Adidas, J Crew, Kate Spade and Coach. There were some great bargains as I was there for Thanksgiving week. I love the food hall - big choice ranging from pizza to Thai. The food hall is the perfect place to people watch. It’s a really happy environment. The best time to go is opening time. If you get there much later it can be heaving with people. I went for a stroll around it on Black Friday and it was absolutely packed - everyone had to go in a certain direction going round, but that was an experience for me, so I loved it. The Mall is set out like a big oval, and if you want to go for a walk, you can do a couple of loops to get your steps in. Great if it’s really hot or if you have not got a car to get to a walking area. Great place for strolling, shopping and eating.

Well, it is not one of THE Great Lakes far to north of Texas, but Grapevine is impressive in its own right. Many see it from the air on takeoff or arrival from DFW. On the ground, there are marinas and a large mall on one shore and several parks on the other. Just be advised, whether walking, jogging, or driving, you cannot simply continue along the shore from the Grapevine parks to reach the Gaylord Texan resort if you are staying there like I did. IThe Teaxan and its shore front events center is walled and fenced off so you have to either backtrack to the highway or the resort and convention center entrance to gain access to it or the other side of the lake. For less pretentious accomodations around the lake there are campgrounds and motels in Grapevine.
