The power van is such a hidden gem!! A 2 and a half hour trip up and through the Outenique mountain pass, 6 tunnels and unparalleled panoramic views of gorges and valleys and the mountains. Breathtaking fauna and flora - with waterfalls when it rains! The 2 guides have exceptional local knowledge! Tip - take a jacket - weather must be clear and sunny and pack a picnic basket! The museum itself is awesome for kids - plenty old locomotives and vintage cars - an enriching peak into the past!!

This is a great local market that offers free parking and an easy drive from the coast. The market requires masks to enter and is encouraging hand sanitisation and social distancing. It had lots of different food stalls offering local and worldwide produce and local handmade good to buy and very easy to walk around. There was a great atmosphere and a train/tractor ride for the little ones to enjoy. The venue is also dog friendly.

Great waves, and friendly locals. Beware of the rip currents when entering the ocean, I would advise that you ask someone that knows the beach setup before you enter it.

We were pleasantly surprised with our visit to Herolds. The winemaker, Nico conducted the wine tasting and gave great insight into the processes and philosophy behind each wine. Afterwards we enjoyed a delicious cheese platter. A most relaxing visit - we will definitely be back
