Natural Park Sierras de Cazorla

Myself and a very good friend went on Motorcycles through most of the Natural Park, absolutely amazing although the roads at times leave a lot to the imagination, especially on a bike when you are several thousands of feet up with very few barriers and then down again, hair pin bends and uneven road surfaces just wide enough for 2 cars passing slowly. However all that said, it was one of the most amazing trips i have been on and the sights are breath taking.

We hiked 20KM from the start to the lagoon at the top and back down, views all the way along the route are spectacular and there are plenty of places en route to stop and enjoy a swim or paddle in the river, we had our small dog with us and he loved the water stops! During the hike there is a mix of shade and sun so be prepared for the heat. Its our second visit to this route and it wont be our last.. truly memorable and if you like nature and the outdoors you will love this area!

Cerrada de Utrero

Reviewed By Almeria2000 - Almeria, Spain

This walk is only 1.8km and takes a steady 45 minutes to walk the route - which climbs up a rocky pathway, down past a small reservoir and old disused hydro station, along a high river valley with Linarejos Waterfall, up and under huge cliffs then back down to the main road. We walk this every year with our children who are now 12 and 10 - there are more challenging routes, but this is always relatively easy and enjoyable.

Casa de las Bicicletas

Stayed here for 3 nights and what a wonderful place to be in! The rooms are very comfortable and spacious (twin bedroom with a friend) and the bathroom was also excellent. Everything was very clean and the shower water was lovely and hot. The house is superb....a museum to the travels of its owner Chelo who is a delight to have a chat to. We had use of the kitchen (only used to store alcohol in the fridge!) and teas, coffee, fruit, juice, milk and bread were supplied FOC for breakfast. We didn´t have breakfast in-house though as the house is 600m from the town centre and in the square there were plenty of cafés to have breakfast and enjoy watching the locals and soak in the atmosphere. The garden area is also lovely to relax in with sunbeds and a small swimming pool. Would highly recommend this gorgeous GH to anyone looking for accommodation in Cazorla.
