Meaning “place of divers,” Bucerias on Mexico’s Pacific Coast is a charming antidote to the hustle and bustle of nearby Puerto Vallarta. You’ll meet the friendly locals and enjoy beautiful beaches, fantastic dining, outdoor activities and art galleries. Locals congregate in the small plaza in the center of town or head for the beach for some sun and unfettered mountain and bay views. Beyond the beaches of Bucerias, you’ll find superb dining, flea markets laden with special treasures, art galleries, and pubs. Once you’ve tired of the sun, meander through the flea market off the main plaza and tour the residential side of Bucerias, complete with boutique shopping and quality restaurants like La Quinta di Francesco and Adriatico. Some of the best art galleries in town include Splurge Art Gallery, showcasing emerging local artists and designer pewter. On Thursday evenings, participate in the local art walk, and on Sundays, visit the authentic Mexican market. From Bucerias, explore other Riviera Nayarit locations such as Savulita, Punta Mita and San Francisco – they’re all accessible by cheap, frequent bus service.

Small group, hands-on cooking classes of traditional Mexican food. Come learn what surprising flavors Mexico has to offer in an intimate group setting. All classes include your dinner and a recipe booklet of the day's dishes. Check the website for prices and a description of each day's class (topics vary daily). Take home something more from Mexico than just a tan--give your friends or family back home a souvenir (dinner) that will not gather dust on the shelf!
Want an amazing experience in Bucerias? Go take a cooking class at My Mexican Kitchen. We did the seafood class with 6 other friends and what a night. We learned so much about Mexican food and some fabulous recipes in a booklet to take home. My favourite was the crab empanadas we were taught to make. Edgar was very patient with us- teaching us how to use the tortilla press and Travis was so great- putting up with our jokes and comments. This was a fabulous evening and everyone of us(and some were total non cooks) thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Thank you Edgar and Travis for an exceptional class and helping us discover the true flavours of Mexico

We are located on corner of Lazaro Cardenas and Calle Morelos in the beautiful town of Bucerias. We are located one block from the ocean! We offer classes in lampwork beads, beginning stained glass, fused glass, suncatchers, fused glass jewellry, and glass mosaics. Come on in and take a class!!! We also carry many beautiful products handmade right here in Mexico.
I like this little store for it's one of a kind gifts. They have lovely homemade gifts for a fairly inexpensive price. You can also take glass making classes if you are going to be in Bucerias for any length of time.

Our tour agency has been in business 30 years beginning with the Puerto Vallarta Bass Club. Fifteen years ago we pened Scotts Bucerias Day Tours in Bucerias, Nayarit located just north of Nuevo Vallarta. Our niche in the tour business has been to offer the best tours at the best prices with NO connection to timeshare sales and the usual hustles associated with the industry in Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit the adjoining state that starts at Nuevo vallarta and heads north 150 miles along the Riviera nayarit coastline. We have a wide variety of tours and work with the best companies in the region like Vallarta Adventures and others. We work with individuals, families and big groups to provide the best service in the Bay of Banderas and north!

Human Connections offers a completely unique cultural experience. We bring our guests into the vibrant neighborhoods within Bucerias that travelers rarely get to see. There, we visit three different homes and engage with local artisans, tradespeople and food vendors. We spend about an hour with each person, learning the story behind their craft and seeing the "real Bucerias" through their eyes. While you will enjoy an outstanding homemade meal and history about the area, your favorite thing about the tour will surely be the people you meet. They are simply inspiring. This is a tour about progress (not a tour about poverty) that aims to foster cultural exchange and promote local businesses, all the while providing our guests with an once-in-a-lifetime experience.

El Cora Crocodile Sanctuary will change your concept of wildlife through knowledge and close experiences that will make your hair stand on end. Our goal is to transmit the love for what surrounds us and the importance of conserving it through a guided tour by biologists and veterinarians who carry out the conservation and rehabilitation of the sanctuary.
One of the highlights of my May 2019 trip was a bike ride tour ("CrocoRide") to the El Cora Crocodile Sanctuary just outside Bucerias / Nuevo Vallarta. A truly unforgettable experience. The Cycling: Booked the bike tour with BikePlusLife in Nuevo Vallarta. The bikes are exceptionally well maintained and specialized for the varied terrain which is a mix of flat dedicated cycling paths in NV, a short amount of lateral highway road (with a wide cycling shoulder that most cities would be envious of), and then a long and winding back-country dirt road. The guide, Noemi, clearly enjoys cycling and is so informative about the mangroves and the many different trees and birds in this area, and her enthusiasm made it a fun cycling trip. The Sanctuary: the El Cora Crocodile Sanctuary is an unforgettable experience – educational and so engaging, and the creatures are all rescue/sanctuary so not a zoo. The tour was given by Alfredo, a young veterinarian from Guadalajara, with perfect English. It was fascinating to hear and see live examples of the complex (and sometimes entertaining) connections between the creatures, the tides and the flora in the swamp ecosystem. And to learn up close and safely about the extraordinary crocodile. It’s not huge, it’s not glittery or animated – but for anyone with curiousity about the world and compassion about nature, and for older kids to be engaged in it – this is a wonderful way to include that in your vacation experiences.

This store is similar to a Kroger or Walmart or Fred Meyer. It has a large grocery selection, fresh bakery, good produce, fresh meats, seafoods, large deli and dairy. They have all the variety stuff you need too. There is a pharmacy also. Interesting selection of milks that don't need to be refrigerated on the shelf, the 1% milk tastes just like stateside once it chilled after you get it home. Lots of liquor but prices on the browns, (bourbon, whiskey, scotch, etc) are really high. This store is located about a mile from VillaPalmar Flamingos or RUI. And easy flat walk with an overhead walkway to avoid the traffic. Connected to the store are a bunch of banks and cash machines. We had trouble with all of the bank cash machines but were able to use the ones within Mega itself with no problem. An interesting note, if you are visiting and find you bought too much of something, you can return it,unused, unopened of course, just make sure you have your receipt. Its also located in the same parking area as LaComer, a bit more expensive and trendier grocery and variety store, with different selections of many wines and liquors than Mega. Go to both!
