Surrounded by breathtaking scenery, majestic mountains, rushing rivers, rolling foothills and dramatic landscapes, Ashland is a gorgeous little city with an arts scene as vibrant as its setting. Ashland hosts festivals for all seasons, with Christmas celebrations and the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in winter, a film festival in the spring, classical music festival in summer and wine tasting celebrations in the autumn.

Escape Ashland is Ashland's unique live-action escape entertainment with two locations in the heart of downtown Ashland, just two blocks from the renowned Oregon Shakespeare Festival. "The Scottish Play" and "The Ramblin Rogue Saloon" are suitable for all ages and experience levels and are the perfect complement to theater, outdoor adventure and shopping. Solving the room leaves players feeling exhilarated, challenged and newly connected.
We booked A Scottish Play for my 2 daughter's birthdays and they had a blast! Mattie was our host and was so much fun or as they called her "The Lady in the Walls" everything in this escape room was so well thought out and so much fun. The kids are still talking about it and now they can't wait for you guys to come up with another room! Escape Ashland definitely does not disappoint. And they are sooooo accommodating! Would highly recommend.

This pretty campus has much to offer visitors: theater performances produced by its famed drama department; concerts of classical, opera, and popular music and the Schneider Museum of Art.

A small but challenging ski area with some steep terrain serviced by four chairlifts.
Mt Ashland is best known for its skiing, but we love it for walking. It's especially wonderful in spring and early summer, when wildflowers plaster the slopes and meadows on the approach to the summit. It takes around an hour's walking to reach the craggy butte at the top, and is well worth the effort. Unless you want to hike all day from bottom to top, be prepared to drive around 8 miles of twisty road to the ski lodge area, or beyond, where you can park and begin a less ambitious but still rewarding walk. On a clear day, views of Mount Shasta, Pilot Rock, Mt.McLoughlin and other mountains in the far north give you a "top of the world" feeling.

Lithia Park is a jewel in the heart of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival plaza and lovely homes in downtown Ashland, OR. During my recent visit, I took advantage of the cool and breezy summer air - before the temperature reached the mid 90's - venturing on a short morning stroll through the meandering park capturing scenic photo opportunities while greeting joggers, exercisers and travelers along the way. I even took a sip from the nearby and historic lithia mineral spring water fountain...ooh, taste the sulfur. There are great public spaces for picnics, family gatherings, playgrounds, fountains, gardens, foliage/trees, outdoor theater-type performances, tennis courts, and bridges over water ways. My only regret is that I did not allow enough time to take in all of the beauty of this not to be missed park spaces...next time.

ScienceWorks is a fun, engaging science center where kids and adults can rediscover wonder. The innovative museum features nearly 100 interactive exhibits, an outdoor garden, live science demonstrations and dynamic programs year-round that encourage children and adults to learn about more about various scientific principles. ScienceWorks offers educational programs for students and teachers, as well as public programs including workshops, lectures, birthday parties, summer festivals and science camps.
If you’re in southern Oregon and have little ones, you don’t want to miss this museum. The kids are immediately engaged with each feature around the museum. To my fellow adults: you won’t be bored or disappointed.

Mt. Ashland is a great outdoor recreation destination for the whole family. From skiing and snowboarding in winter to hiking and stargazing in summer, it's a great place to visit no mater the season.
Our school has done ski school here for the past 4 years. Each time we visit the staff is very friendly. I would defiantly recommend this place for beginners.
