Micro brewery with 2 beers on tap and a large selection of bottled and canned beers very competitively priced. Set out as a very small bar with a few seats at beer barrels to sample the beers. Such knowledgeable and friendly staff able to select beers not only to my taste, an IPA and a pumpkin ale but even found a tropical flavoured beer my wife enjoyed. Bought a nice wee selection to go and thoroughly enjoying at home. We did have to 'google' the location as it is a short distance from main tourist area in Altea but if you want to enjoy a varied selection of craft beers then this is so worth a visit. Easy 5 stars!

A charming and impressive church which is well worth the walk through Altea's winding streets and passageways.

It’s rare nowadays to find Bars that have that wow factor, most feel quite contrived and lack real soul! Not la Mascarada in the old town of Altea, situated in the main church square this bar from the outside looks well maintained and quite quaint! Inside is where the real magic is, not only do they serve fantastic cocktails, provide a wide range of spirits, wines and beer and have the best roof top terrace in the area but the walls also tell you a story! I won’t spoil it, but it’s a story of genuine adventure, love and dreams! With artefacts and evidence everywhere you look! If your visiting Altea, take the time to find this bar, have a drink and learn about its incredible story!

What a stunning place. The old town is full of atmosphere with beautiful views to the surrounding area. There are lots of bars, restaurants and a great shopping area with a variety of individual boutiques. Definitely worth the climb to the top.
