It’s easy to get the ferry to Cacilhas and then the bus 101 up to the statue. The park is a peaceful setting with great views of Lisbon and close up to the statue - a good place for a picnic - or you can ride the lift up to the viewing platform for the best views of Lisbon and the Iconic Bridge. Even if you don’t like heights there are very high railings and you will feel safe. There are quite a few narrow steep steps to climb so going to the viewing platform would be difficult for anyone with mobility issues. This is a religious place and there is a prayer room and a chapel for those who want it, but non religious folk are made to feel welcome too.

Very nice frigate largely restored allowing a nice visit and providing a nice experience. Travelling from Lisbon by boat is easy, cheap and very interesting as Lisbon provides a excellent view.

This is a really wonderful area to visit. It is primarily a place to visit so you can get some breathtaking views of the city of Lisbon. There are some good places to stop and eat or drink. There are cafes and lots of restaurants and other shops too. The major attraction is the National Monument to Cristo Rei (Christ the King), which is an enormously tall statue made of concrete. It was copied from the Brazilian Christ the Redeemer! It symbolises Portugal's good fortune not to suffer badly during World War II. Worth a visit.

Beautiful place with a nice cafe, museum, garden and a stunning view to Lisbon city, In my personal view you could pass an entire day just relaxing and reading a book in this place it would be more interesting than spending money to to near "Cristo Rei" - National Shrine of Christ the King

Although there is plenty of parking around, I can tell you right now it'll go fast! Get here early in the morning! There are umbrellas for hire in some locations, but I don't know the price. This beach has surveillance and lifeguards! There's plenty of restaurants at the side of the beach as well. All these beaches are connected so there's plenty of space even during the pandemic. Plenty of space for everyone to easily apply social distancing. Only problem will be the parking... Highly recommended!
