The 6th highest bridge in Germany, highest in NRW, oldest among the top 10 highest German bridges, completed construction on 1897. 107m... you can go there and spend a nice afternoon. there's nothing much to do. Just chill and enjoy an hour of calmness. The view of the bridge itself is breathtaking.... but if you are hyperactive, you can get there by train. get down on Solingen-Schaberg train station and start walking down the hill. there's also a bus station nearby. you can also take a hike through the green hilly terrain towards the Schloss Burg(Burg Castle) which is around 4.4 km away.

This bridge over the Rhine River can be crossed by foot or by train. Since 2008 padlocks have adorned a fence on the bridge, affixed by couples as a sign of love and commitment.
Walk the bridge toward the Dom at sunset. The photos you will get from the experience is worth it. March its cold so rug up but having walked 68 kilometers of Cologne . I can say I adore the city and all it has to offer. The love locks the length of the bridge are sweet and a testament to couples in love from around the world.Walking over the Rhine is beautiful a must do if in Koln.
