South River Brewery (formerly Highlander) is located in South River, in the Almaguin Highlands just north of Muskoka - making South River Brewing Co one of the most northerly craft breweries in Ontario. A five-minute drive from the Highway 11 exit will bring you straight to our new brewery on the main street in South River.
I picked up a few cans of Highlander Beer while traveling to North Bay a month ago and noticed, when i got home, the option to Order Online. I tried the service and had beer delivered to my door within days of my order. A great variety and good beer while offering a service that is useful during these days of social isolation. Cheers !

Manitoulin Brewing Company is located in Little Current, ON off of Highway 6. On the premises you will find the brew house, retail shop, and outdoor patio. The Silo is on our outdoor patio with Manitoulin beer available on tap and cans with rotating guest taps. We also have wine, coolers and beer cocktail specials available throughout the summer. Partnered with on-site food truck, The Trough Cook Shack.
Support this great local brewing co. They make really good craft beer and there is quite a variety. Do not normally drink beer but the craft beer here is REALLY GOOD.

It was a quick stop but we made the most of it! Loved the beer. Made sure to buy some because it is not available in Southern Ontario! Great craft beer for sure!

After tasting Norse Red at a local restaurant, we decided to stop in at Norse Brewery one day coming home from the cottage. What a gem we found! When we were invited to an annual Bier Garten (beer tasting) with family for non top 40 beers we knew what we had to bring. We brought a sampling of each of Norse's ales. There were over 100 different beers to taste at the beer tasting. Each year a winner is voted for. This year out of all those beers, Norse Red Ale WON "Beer of the Year"! We weren't surprised but we were happy to share your great ale with all our friends! Keep it up.

A fantastic new local craft brewery featuring 4 flagship beers and various delicious seasonals with a full range of flavour from light to IPA to darker beers. Beer can be purchased in cans or growlers to go. Come in for a tasting or a pint.
Back again to my favourite northern craft brewer! Opened since the lock down, all protocols are followed and they still provide a great environment! The beer is still great and they had my favourites, La Grisette and Johnny Jones. I also sampled Polar Night Dry Stout which led me to purchase a few cans (I am not usually a stout fan). Both other beers are very easy drinking, friendly beers that quench your thirst and provide wonderful flavour. I visited August 20th and the gentleman serving us was so helpful and friendly and is worth sitting with to have a pint and a blether! Well worth a visit in Timmins!
