This was the first stop of 5 breweries for our little tour - as we are from Alaska and probably won’t make it back any time soon. The beers were flavorful and distinct. The four people in my part all had a flight of almost completely different beers. They also have a great shelf of board games to keep you a little longer. The lavender saison wasn’t my favorite, but the coffee stout was like drinking a glass of coffee - almost couldn’t taste the alcohol!

This is a funky set up and really neat! The beers were tasty, service was good, and the setting was indoors yet felt outdoors due to the warehouse setting. Liked the two options for food from on premise restaurants as well. Great stop!

I have been to countless breweries and this one tops them all in my opinion. It is not too big like a factory or two small to handle the crowd. It is just perfect. Out in the Connecticut woods this gem does beer right. All styles are very good. The barn itself if beautifully redone on the inside and accommodates the people well. You can bring your own food (Lots of people did). They had plenty of options to taste and quite a bit available in cans and growlers to take home. Can't wait to go back

Locally-owned independent craft brewery with a 75-seat tap room located by the historic Norwich Harbor. An epicuran is typically a connoisseur of fine food, fun and wine. Why not include beer? The tap room is BYOF (bring your own food)/MYAH (make yourself at home) establishment, in a neighborhood with 10 restaurants.

Established in 2019. The brewery features beers on tap for flight samples, full pours, and growler fills. Food trucks on site during the weekend (check website for schedule). The head brewer is Ralph Fiegel. A chef by trade, Ralph studied at the Culinary Institute of America in New York and spent most of his culinary career working for Chef Barbara Lynch in Boston.
I love a good milk stout and I definitely got that here. I was impressed. A refreshing variety of beers to taste in a comfortable space.

Barley Head Brewery is a nano brewery located in historic downtown Mystic, CT in Factory Square. We feature a rotating selection of new in-house made craft beers on a weekly basis.
My husband and I were visiting Mystic last weekend, which all around is a lovely town. Barley Head Brewery was one of our top favorite places downtown that we happened upon. My husband is a beer snob, and loved the creativity of all the different offerings they had on tap. We both did flights, which includes 4 good sized beers (maybe half pint each?) for $14. It's nice to see other options outside of IPAs, that are equally as tasty and dynamic. The place itself is pretty chill, perfect for a quick stop in along the downtown route to dinner or an afternoon stroll.
