Family Friendly Music Lounge and Brewery. Our Kootenay crafted beer is made with pure untreated water. We don't use any additives, preservatives or filtration in our brewing process. Come sit down for a pint or take beer to go in growlers. Aside from beer we offer in our lounge wine, cider and non alcoholic drinks. Take advantage of our dry snacks or bring outside food in from any place you like.
On a four day road trip of breweries in the East Kootenays this place wasn't even on our list. It was just by chance we saw the sign on the side of the road when passing through Salmo and we said - let's try it. We were pleasantly surprised by the beer. We chatted with Colin (aka brewmaster) about his new business (opened April 2020), beer making and the growler fill. We tried two different beers - Kolsch and an IPA which were both very good. This place is clean and it shows in the beer. We had growlers with us which we were saving to fill at Nelson breweries , but filled here instead. Three weeks later we opened the growlers and enjoyed the beer . It was as good as we remembered it being in the brewery. We wish we could have brought more home. No cans were available at this time, but we look forward to hearing when they are. Keep up the great work Colin.

Arrowhead Brewing Company is a craft beer brewery located in Invermere, which is in between Radium and Fairmont, just two hours from Banff and 3 hours from Calgary, in the heart of the Columbia Valley, East Kootenay, British Columbia. We brew and package all of our beer right here at Arrowhead. Customers can either enjoy a pint or a beer tasting flight here in our tap room, or take home 6 packs, bomber bottles or growlers. We often have at least 10 beers available, including 2 or 3 seasonal brews. Our selection varies greatly in flavour, style and colour. Our beer is craft brewed with only natural ingredients and mountain spring water; containing no additives or preservatives.
We went to buy the local beer to take back home. The staff was absolutely friendly and had quite the sense of humour. We didn’t stay to have a drink ‘cause we were driving (no drinking and driving allowed) ever. The environment was interesting and I loved the decor. Definitely recommend this place.

Whitetooth Brewing Company crafts small batch Belgian-inspired and West Coast influenced beers in the town of Golden, BC. You will find our brewery nestled between the Purcell Range and the Rocky Mountains near the confluence of the Kicking Horse and Columbia Rivers. Our goal is to combine the best experiences that our expansive mountain playground has to offer with the perfect beverage afterwards. Our tasting room is open from 2pm until 10pm, everyday. Must be 19+ to enjoy the tasting room & patio.
I've enjoyed WhiteTooth beer at beer festivals and my from my local private liquor stores, so I wanted to stop in when we were passing through Golden for a night. They have a great tasting room and patio. There was live music and a food truck the evening we were there which was enjoyable. The flight of beer was delish and overall experience was nice. Only downside was that the patio isn't pet friendly. There is a spot to tie up your dog on the outside of the patio but you can't sit with them. I understand everywhere has their own rules but our dog is family so when we are traveling with her it's always nice to find pet friendly establishments... but that aside we would definitely visit again!

I’d never been to Kaslo before. It’s a little mountain town off the beaten path in the West Kootenays. We’d heard great things about it so my wife and made it part of our anniversary trip. What a beautiful spot! We both like beer so we stopped into Angry Hen. We were greeted by a very friendly and welcoming person who talked with us about the history of the brewery (or the brewer as the brewery is 2 years old or so) and she helped us pick out the best beers to try for our tastes. The beers were all great and the patio was lovey and very relaxing. The whole place had a great, chill atmosphere. The variety of beers they brew was surprising to me for such a new brewery. From British bitters to German bocks and kolsches to Irish stouts and NA sours, they had a very ambitious and satisfying selection. My absolute favourite was their dry-hopped IPA as it has a touch of the citrus sour you get from the dry hops mixed in with the Pale Ale malts and blends. So, so good. And they really nailed the kolsch too! Check this place out!

Passion for everything outdoors, crafted into beer and served for friends. Make Tailout your spot to unwind after a long day of powder turns or finicky trout and chat about the day’s success over a cold pint. Grab some takeout or delivery to your table (The Grand Buddha Bistro upstairs is great). We have the drinks - all styles of beer made in-house, local wine & cider, as well as non-alcoholic offerings. Tailout Brewing is Castlegar's first, and only, brewery and we are proud to be here! With world class skiing and fishing who wouldn't want to be in this outdoor adventure hub in the Kootenays?! Cheers
