The Houston brewery offers an immersive experience, perfect for visitors of all ages. From the advanced brewing technology to the history displays, you will gain a better understanding of the historical significance of one of America’s oldest brewers. Opened in 1966, the Houston Brewery has quickly become one of our “greenest” breweries. The brewery gets some of its energy from landfill gas that is piped in six miles from the nearby McCarty Landfill. On average, the brewery sources approximately 30 percent of its energy needs from alternative energy. The brewery’s energy efficiency and conservation efforts also include an on-site bio-energy recovery system (BERS), where brewery wastewater can be recycled adding to our water conservation efforts.
In addition to tasting a very good beer, the place is incredible, creative and above all it inspires its elaboration to go further into the world of beer

Visiting friends in Huffman and we decided to trek an hour south to the brewery for lunch. Shrimp n grits was over the top delicious, Texas size portion! One of our group ordered a pizza, again delicious. My wife and I had the crawfish roll, amazing flavor, fresh brioche roll, highly recommended. Now for the beer, I had a coffee stout and a couple of the orange beers, wife had a cider, had to sample the root beer all delicious, wish an Uber ride was an affordable option to and from I would have enjoyed trying more of the beer. Great atmosphere good service, excellent food an beer. Meals & Beer about $150 with tip. A very memorable experience.

We just happened to drive by going to a different activity and thought we’d try for dinner. The waitress was friendly, outgoing, great service! We ate outside which we discovered there is a dog section - gated area for you to bring your dog! Everyone was welcoming. The food was great. My husband did the beer flight, he loved it. We will definitely be going back! Everything was clean, gave you real silverware, extra napkins, even a menu if you wanted. Great job during Covid!

Houston's Most Creative Brewery While we're focused on quality and creativity, our mission goes beyond an innovative product. Buffalo Bayou Brewing Company pays tribute to deeply traditional roots. Founded on the independent spirit of the Buffalo Bayou settlers, we channel the history and tenacity of a city forged by inventors, tinkerers, and people not afraid of a little hot weather. Located within miles of the Houston skyline, our brewery stands behind the Houston population, partnering and working towards creating a better community.
I visited while BuffBrew they were still in their ‘soft opening’ at their brand new location by the silos and already they’re doing a great job. Great beers. Really good food ( for sure, do the cheesy pork nachos!) and a spectacular view of the Houston skyline on the open air patios on the 2nd and 3rd floors. I stuck with the stouts but loved sampling several others. Cheers!!

My wife and I were here early on Friday afternoon. We were impressed with the beers. I typically go for the ipa's and hoppier brew but was glad I tried the pilsners. They do have an Ipa which I tried as well and enjoyed. Real nice flavors and crispness to the beer. The place it self is good, its not as big a I thought. Tables fill up quickly, I can imagine it would be pretty crowded early on a Saturday. We were some of the first people there on a Friday around 3-4:00. They have some card games and things to do. Couple of TV's and outdoor seating. Their outdoor area is all concrete and very hot. Not great for kids or dogs in the summer months. The staff is great, you can tell they help in the brewing process. Very knowledgeable and let you sample before you choose. Recommend getting there early around opening time if you are meeting some friends. Parking is also a bit tight, its a small industrial park with limited spots. We saw a food truck when we were there, not sure if it rotates but there was definitely some food option. We will be back soon,
