*Hours subject to change* Competitive axe throwing is a well known Canadian past time that's becoming increasingly popular in the United States. Simply put, it's like playing a game of darts, except with axes! At Bury The Hatchet you'll experience the thrill of launching an axe at a wooden target in a safe and fun environment. You and your best mates will spend two hours becoming intimate with a 1.5lb piece of whirling wood and metal as you learn, practice, and then finally square off toe-to-toe in a group tournament.
This place is crazy fun and it's BYOB and BYOF(Food)! They have plenty of large picnic tables for you to use. It is usually quite crowded and loud, so bring your patience and a few drinks! If you can find a deal on Groupon, Living Social or the like, we feel a deal makes it that much better! Once you purchase your tickets, you need to go on their Website and reserve a time slot. Just note, if you want to play by yourselves, with just your own party, in your own lane, you have to have at least 12 people in your party (it used to be only 9). You can even join a league if you have enough people. Although they do not have their own parking lot, there is plenty of metered on the street parking right in front and across the street. They have several board type games in the lobby for you to enjoy while you wait. All the staff, employees and our Axe Master were very personable, knowledgeable, informative and provided a history of axe throwing. During your game(s) your instructor keeps score on their tablet and you can see the results up on a screen. There was music constantly blaring which was quite loud. They have mini refrigerators and cubbies for you to store your stuff, they have a water cooler and you can order food and drinks from outside to this location. Highly recommended if you have never!

The boys and girls state competition was held at Bowlero this week. This place is amazing with 81 lanes, a few bars, video games, laser tag, pool tables etc.. great place to have some fun.

My son and I had a great experience here. I saw the Groupon offered a deal here and decided to buy it. It was $20 for two people for two hours with shoe rentals. They have other Groupon available for larger groups so be sure to check those out before going. We arrived at the alley at around 3 PM on a Saturday (the Groupon cannot be used anytime after 6 PM on Saturdays). Parking lot had lots of spaces available. The alley itself was busy but I wouldn't say crowded. There seemed to be a lot of larger groups and birthdays going on. We showed the Groupon to the counter person who honored it without question. (Make sure to purchase the Group 24 hours in advance) We were given a lane upstairs which was in the glowing section. We got our shoe and made our way there. The lane seating sections were big. There is the usual semi-circle couch for each lane as well as a smaller eating table and barstool area behind. Though, with most bowling alleys, it is always a good idea to get two adjacent lanes for larger groups. The electronic name-entry system was great. You enter the names and start bowling. On the upper left of the screen is your time left. We had to return to the counter and request bumpers which they put up immediately. You can actually order everything, food and drinks, from the lane via touch screen monitor. You pay right there with a credit/debit card and can even add a tip. The system was very efficient. Food and drink price were fair for this type of venue...sandwiches were $10-12 and included fries, which smaller appetizers were $5-8. Probably similar to Applebee's prices. Drinks were not bad...I got a 23 ounces draft beer of Sam Adams for $8.50...not bad considering its about 2 bottles of beer. You can decide to eat outside before or after, but you cannot bring in outside food. If you plan to eat here, be prepared to spend "Applebee's" money. There seems to be a full bar there as well but I didn't check the prices on mixed drinks. There is a small arcade section that is card operated. Much like Dave and Busters, you add money on a card and use it on various arcade machines. Overall we had a great time. There are plenty of lanes; two floors of lanes on the left and one floor on the right, so you shouldn't have an problems getting a lane no matter what time you decide to go. Lastly, all staff we encountered were great. Very helpful and patient. I know how tough it can be when dealing with customers all day, so kudos to everyone there for keeping smiles on their faces.
