Chile's Valle Central, a verdant valley tucked between the Andes and the coastal mountain ranges, has a mild climate and moist soil perfect for grape growing. Made up of four distinct wine regions, Maipo, Rapel, Curico and Maule, the area is criss-crossed by well-traveled wine roads. At the northern end of the valley is Maipo, the oldest of Chile's wine regions, famous for its Cabernet Sauvignon. At the opposite end is Maule, which still grows Pais, the first grape brought to South America.

Rapel Lake, a term derived from the Mapuche language meaning clay, is an artificial Chilean reservoir, located in the Region of the Liberator General Bernardo O'Higgins. It is located between the Cordillera de la Costa, in the so-called coastal dryland. This lake feeds the Rapel River, which in turn is formed by the union of the Rivers Cachapoal and Tinguiririca in the sector of La Junta, Pichidegua. On the southern shore of this reservoir are the localities of El Estero, Llallauquen and Las Balsas, which are next to a road that borders the lake, which deviates from Route 66, also known as the Fruit Road in The town of El Manzano. In the area where the three arms of the lake meet, it is where most people gather around Rapel; The site has several campsites, cabins, marinas, hotels and soon a residential complex in the sector of El Estero by Marina Golf Rapel.

Beautiful Lagoon, located in the Maule Region, to get there you have to drive for about 2 hours from Linares or 2 hours 30 minutes from Talca, once you get there you will find this beautiful turquoise ice-cold lagoon between the mountains, if you are lucky enough you will find snowy mountains,It is advisable to take food and water, because up there there's nothing else besides nature.
Hello! I went to Termas del médano, you can get there by car or by bus going through the international route Ch-115. You have to take the bus in the bus station of Talca. I went there in winter (august), so at that time the Laguna del Maule was closed because of the snow on the road. But I could get to the Waterfall that is located like 20 meters high and the weird thing is this waterfall goes up because of the wind. Unfortunately when I went it did not happen. Probably for the season. The weekend that I spent there I stayed in Termas del médano in a small cabin with a kitchen, bathroom, two beds. Perfect for me and my partner. In the tourist complex you can enjoy of thermal waters and also natural steambaths, coming from the ground. I totally recomend San Clemente as the commune and the places that I visited. You should bring cash with you because once you get in to the mountains there are no ATM. Also the best time to go is Summer (December to February) Good luck in your trip!
