Bicycling in the beautiful and historic Lodalen. After 4km (from the fjord) you arrive at idyllic Lake Loen. You can either cycle alongside the lake all the way into Kjenndalsbre Fjellstove restaurant or you can take the boat MB Kjenndal across Lake Loen to Kjenndalsbre Fjellstove and continue in to Kjenndal glacier itself. Take the same route back to Stryn. Lodal valley has an unusually impressive landscape. The scars from the landslide on the side of Mt. Ramnefjell and the abandoned farms at Nesdal give an indication of Lodal valley´s dramatic history. Tour description: The trip is easy relaxing. Hardly and climbing and good cycle roads. Start the trip in Stryn town centre. Follow the main road RV 60 in to Loen (approx. 10 km.) and turn off to the left for Lodalen. You bike on the country road in towards the beautiful and fertile community of Loen where you can take in the awesome Mt. Skala in the background. Allow between 3-5 hours for this trip.

Giske - Folkvord - Malmheim - arsvoll - Soma (13 km) Setting off from the Gisketjern lake, you will be able to enjoy a tour where no cars are allowed. Almost the entire landscape is cultivated. At arsvoll you will find the remnants of old settlements from the 18th century. Artefacts dating back to the Stone Age have been located at Austvoll. The street Gamle Austvollvei will take you east to Soma, one of the really old and powerful farms on Jaeren. There are many ancient objects and sites here as well. The road from the motorway to the Gisketjern lake was used as a peat road up until the end of the Second World War. The townspeople of Sandnes and the clay industry needed fuel, and the peat marshes at Soma came in handy.
