The 10 Best Beer Tastings & Tours in London, England

November 13, 2021 Russell Mellin

The crown jewels, Buckingham Palace, Camden Market…in London, history collides with art, fashion, food, and good British ale. A perfect day is different for everyone: culture aficionados shouldn't miss the Tate Modern and the Royal Opera House. If you love fashion, Oxford Street has shopping galore. For foodies, cream tea at Harrod’s or crispy fish from a proper chippy offers classic London flavor. Music and book buffs will love seeing Abbey Road and the Sherlock Holmes Museum (at 221B Baker Street, of course).

I was charged for the tour, showed up 15 minutes early stayed 15 minutes past the tour time at the correct location. No text, no e-mail, called the tour operator Pigeon Tours, the voicemail was full. The next morning, I called Viator, the tour was cancelled because the minimum number of guests was not met but the e-mail was sent the day after the event. I wasted two hours of my time and money traveling to and from the tour location. Disrespectful, horrible, awful, bad experience. Viator needs to remove them from their website!

This is THE way to see London! Jack was an incredible tour guide who took us through a clearly well planned and thoughtful tour of the royal highlights. Having grown up and attended school nearby, Jack had fantastic insights into the complicated history of the area and dove deep beneath the surface level details to provide us with an experience we couldn’t get elsewhere. Jack also has a great sense of humor and can really tailor the tour to your specific interests! We loved it so much we signed up for his private tour of Chelsea as well - really impressive and fun! Absolutely well worth it, thank you Jack!!

Managed to do the Kew Gardens tour just before lockdown 2.0, and so glad I did! The whole process of getting set up with the guide was super easy, and the tour itself was really informative without being overbearing - I learned loads about the history of the gardens and I really felt like they'd done their research. The podcast style of the guide is so different to other audio guides I have used, and it's so refreshing to listen to a guide that is this engaging. Looking forward to using this again when I can visit some more places!

Walking Food & Drink Tours In London are a must. Walk Eat Talk Eat's East London food tour was the first one in the area. We now cover the South and West of London too. We've had thousands of customers along, shared zillions of stories and are close to serving up our 3000th salt beef bagel. We run our East End Tour all through the week and on the weekends that's when we hold our Hidden Gems and Portobello Tales tours. Why East London? Because the food is amazing, there's so much history to share and our tour guides have lived in those areas, so they know them inside out and love sharing their local haunts. I myself have lived in London now for over ten years and I can safely say this city still surprises me with all its hidden secrets old-and-new. What I believe gives us that unique essence is that myself and our tour guides ( even in our spare time ) go in search for new cuisines to be tasted and explore hidden bits of London's history waiting to be spoken about all for you.

Inclusions: All alcohol will be included be it craft beer, real ale or wine., From snacks to hearty portions it all depends on the day and what stops we pick to visit. You won't be hungry by the end of the tour, that's a given., From snacks to hearty portions, each stop we go to will vary in size of food.
