Therefore I can’t understand the high ranking on the internet page of booking.com! The only thing that made a 3* possible was the lady that served us. She was really nice! A relaxation trip weekend for three was our idea on the 23rd and 24th of June 2018. Over Murtal, Turracherhöhe, Wolfsberg and back home again. We booked a short-term stay in the guesthouse Oelberger. A double room for us and a single room for a disabled person with a wheelchair. Unfortunately the drive to the guesthouse promised more than it was. Instead of a double room we got a 5-bed room with 5 single beds, which we could push together, however there remained a gap of 15cm in between the beds. We were more than disappointed. We would have preferred to drive straight home! Nevertheless, we managed to spend the one night there. We went to the restaurant and ordered drinks and food. The lady that served us was extremely nice and tried her best. If I'm not mistaken she was the sister of the owner. The food came, it was okay to good but nothing too special. Later in the evening we moved indoors because there was a cool wind outside. The decor inside is definitely outdated and smelled of stale smoke. It looked like the last people inside were family but I could be wrong. What we noticed, however, was when the service was gone, they weren’t particularly interested in us as guests. We had to call several times and empty glasses didn’t seem to bother the owner much either. We also had the opinion they spoke of the service when she was gone and laughed at or over her and as a parent you also don’t smoke with a child on your lap! We spent the night in a 5-bed room - distanced to my wife. Unfortunately! Mattress OK, pillows not really. Room clean. I talked to another guest, he felt no different. In the morning we went to breakfast. Orange juice had black pieces in it. It was exchanged, without a word or an apology. Counter selection was mediocre but nothing special. Only the coffee tasted good. If you’re not used to somewhat better or higher standards or don’t expect much when staying overnight and spending more money than it's worth, or not being served, then you can stay in the guesthouse or eat in the restaurant. Unfortunately, we won’t be heading there again and I can't think for a moment that I'd tell our friends they should go or stay there!

Far away from stress and rush Alpine style, dreamy sight Koralphe area is 1150 meter above the see level . The hotel is a nonsmoking , typical alpine inn . If you look out of the windows you will see the marvelous Lavant valley, Karacankák and Julia Alps. Although you are far from stress and rush but it is near to the Wolsberg-Süd highway (about 13 km). We have twenty confortabe rooms, most of them with balcony. Lovely place
Reviewed By monitarcsaFriendly service. Premium hotel in the town. I have wonderful time in here. The food was amazing, the place is like in the fairytales. The workers there speaks german and hungarian. Up in Koralpe you can skiing or hiking and down in Wolfsberg you can so shopping, or visiting the lions.

Great position and very welcoming
Reviewed By higvinDriving around this beautiful part of Carinthia on a Saturday in June, it was surprisingly difficult to find any open hotels. So coming across the Aldershof, right on the river in central Wolfsberg, was very welcome. I had a very comfortable large room with excellent bathroom overlooking the river, with buffet breakfast, for €72. The lady at reception (who speaks very good English) was exceptionally warm and welcoming and went to the trouble of booking me a table at the nearby excellent restaurant Kainz (see separate review) for dinner (there weren’t many dinner open restaurant options either). There were church bells but not before 6am - so manageable compared to other parts of the German-speaking world where they can go all night. Highly recommended

Fabulous place for a family ski holiday

We did the half board package (breakfast & dinner) and the food was superb! The hotel is perfectly located at the bottom of the slopes so you can easily ski in/out. Thanks for a great stay.

Reviewed By Bernadeta KWe had a fantastic time at this guesthouse,very friendly owner, great breakfast and very dog friendly place.The restaurant offers delicious food, highly recommend it. The room was spacious and very clean with large bathroom.The area is very peaceful away from the noisy city.Beautiful scenery,pictureus mountain view from our room,and had great hikes with our dog. Will definitely come back.

Reviewed By Renan GAuf dem Weg durch Österreich bin ich hier eine Nacht geblieben. Die Fahrt nach "oben" mit dem Motorrad war schon interessant. An nächsten Morgen war ich von der Lage u. Aussicht schwer begeistert. Die Zimmer inkl. Dusche sind schon etwas betagt. Die Verpflegung war in Ordnung. Würde hier bei Gelegenheit wieder übernachten.

Reviewed By Lars KMultibuilding hotel, pretty worn down, but they are renovating. Fairly clean, everything works as intended, but strange layout of the room. Bed was too soft, and sliding apart. Bedlamp placed right over middle of the pillow, so you should sleep "around it". Staff very friendly and serviceminded. Hotel very noisy, people running around all night and no sound insulation, so hard to get an undisturbed sleep.

Reviewed By Janika333A szolgáltatás minősége nincs köszönőviszonyban az árakkal. Az ajánlatban benne volt az ágyneműhuzat, majd azt vinni kellett vagy 15 EUR/szett felár ellenében lehetett volna bérelni (és felhúzni magadnak...). A szobák tisztasága nagyon sok kívánnivalót hagy maga után (előző időkből a szekrénybe betett sáros cípő nyoma éktelenkedett). A fürdő kilincs kiesett, a bejárati ajtójé is kotyogott, a zuhanyfej csak akkor jött teljes nyomással, ha elfordítottad a fejrészt, mert a cső meg volt tőrve. A másik borzadalom az étkeztetés. Svédasztalos reggeli és vacsora volt. Választék, mondhatni semmi, reggel párizsi és egy másik olcsó szalámi, 2 féle sajt és 2 féle krémkeverék amit nem mertem megkostólni... Tojás egy héten kétszer és kész. Első vacsora mottója : ez az egy van, más nincs. Kenyérzsemle 1 fajta, nagy ritkán beesett egy másik féle is (toast kenyér volt, az olcsó legolcsóbbja) A reggeli kávé minőségéről jobb ha nem írok semmit. Max 2 fajta étel a vacsoránál és 1 féle leves. Extrák nulla. A bookingon meghirdetett kajafotókkal csak egy baj van... hogy azt máshonnan másolták be. Asztalterítő nincs. (amolyan jó gyári étkezdés). Egyik este szólnom kellett, hogy tegyenek ki kenyeret és szalvétát is, mert az alkalmazottak (bár ők kedvesek, de nem értenek hozzá...) nem vették észre, hogy nincs... Egyik este azt mondták, hogy nem tudják meddig van sör mert ha kifogy a hordó, akkor nincs több. Palackos egyáltalán nem volt. Összesítésben nálam megbukott a szállás és a szolgáltatás is. Soha nem lépem át ennek a vendéglátó egységnek a küszöbét és sokan gondolkodnak hasonlóan azok közül akikkel együtt voltam. Fokozhatnám egyéb szolgáltatás leírásával, de én azt nem vettem igénybe, de ott is a levélben beígért összeg 50%-al többe került a helyszínen. A minőségről sem tudok nyilatkozni, mert nem vettem részt.
