Home to Windsor Castle, the second residence of Queen Elizabeth II, Windsor is a popular day-trip destination from London. Those who tarry in the riverside town fill their time wandering the cobbled streets, popping in and out of the luxe boutiques, restaurants, and tea shops that tumble down toward the Thames River.

The Crown and Cushion is a delightful pub with 8 en-suite rooms. It is pleasantly situated in Eton High Street, which is a stone's throw from Windsor. Situated in the picturesque setting of Eton High Street, we are surrounded by history. Dating back to the 1600’s, The Crown and Cushion has been an Inn since 1753. Just minutes walk from Windsor Castle and Eton College and a short drive away from various attractions including Legoland, Royal Ascot Racecourse and Cliveden House. Having recently been refurbished, The Crown and Cushion offers you good food and good accommodation at reasonable prices. We have eight en-suite rooms: 2 Kings, 5 Doubles and 1 compact double. Put up beds can be added if needed at no extra cost; please discuss this at time of booking. Continental and a full English breakfast is included. The building is full of character and is very quirky in places. Allegedly built from old ships timbers, some of the floors are wonky and lots of the floorboards are creaky – but that is what makes it charming! The rooms are situated over two floors so if you require a first floor room please mention at the time of booking and we will do our best. We have an unusual American theme and our aim is to make you feel as relaxed as possible and send you off happy whether you have just had a drink, meal or a whole night’s stay. There is an outside patio should you wish to eat or drink outside. All our food is available for takeaway if you don’t have time to stop or you want to eat at home. For our staying guests, parking is available on site but this is not unlimited and we therefore request that parking is allocated to one car per booking. We will try and accommodate any reasonable request from any of our customers so if you do have any special requirements then please just ask.
Location was good, short walk from Windsor Castle and train station with a nice selection of bars and shops close by. Room was small and fairly basic but clean and comfortable. Sleep quality wasn’t great though. This is an old building so as you’d expect there’s creaky floorboards and poor sound insulation so we were kept awake by other guests coming and going/moving around during the night. The breakfast included in the price was decent but only served between 8am and 9am on the days we stayed - not ideal to have to be up and ready that early on holiday. Staff were friendly and the bar and beer garden were nice places to relax.

My sister and I stayed for 2 nights this weekend. The accommodation is spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. Fresh white robes, slippers, tea & coffee making facilities, everything is well catered for. There was a really good choice of breakfast with everything being freshly cooked. There is plenty of parking for all guests on site, with approximately 25 mins walk into town. Best of all the Taxi cabs are the most reliable we've ever used, always available and £6.00 (as of 8.5.22) in to town which competes with £5.80 bus fare (2 people). We highly recommend Park Farm and hope it continues to do well.

Children are very welcome in the family rooms on the lower floor and we have two executive doubles on the top floor that have have space to work and are just for adults. All bathrooms are upgraded and of a high quality. A fabulous boutique B&B in Windsor.
As a family we wished to spend a long weekend in Windsor, traveling by train from Cardiff as a group of 8. We are so pleased we chose Alma House. From point of booking they were very accommodating. Alice dealt with many queries in advance about room suitability for my parents who preferred to stay in the cottage rather than the double room at the top of the house due to the stairs and to be closer to my room and my brothers and his family's room next door. We had a wonderful stay. Our breakfast was plentiful and we were well equipped in the room for everything we needed. Very handy to have a fridge! We enjoyed the fine May weather and had leisurely strolls in and out of the town on a daily basis. Staying at Alma house was a pleasant alternative to some of the hotels in the heart of Windsor as it was more relaxed and comfortable. During our stay we visited Windsor Castle, Alexandra Gardens, did a boat trip on the Thames and the kids loved the duck bus. Highly recommend this property for a great base for a trip to Windsor. Thank you to all the staff who were very helpful

The Rutlands is a stylish Victorian B&B situated in a prime area of Windsor town and have a 4 star English Tourism rating with a Visit Britain Silver Award.
Being a B&B the Rutlands may not have a lounge or bar but it makes up for it in so many other ways. On site parking, easy walking distance to the centre of Windsor, the friendliest of owners, great breakfasts and the sort of cleanliness that even the most fussy Four In A Bed contestants would struggle to find fault iwth! It deserves 6 green blobs!!

We stayed here over the Jubilee celebration Bank Holiday period. Its the second time we've stayed. Doesn't look much from outside, but it's absolutely perfect for a no frills place for a short break. The rooms are decent size, it's clean, a short walk from the centre of Windsor. Parking is available nearby. Don't expect breakfast or a bar, it's simply a place for short breaks. There are plenty of cafés and fine restaurants nearby. We'll be back.

We arrived in Windsor in the late afternoon, tired after a long drive with our youngtimer cars. The Owner, the Staff and even the Customers too (thanks again Jim) are incredible. The park area, close to te rooms, is a no-stress value if you are driving classic cars. Room are clean, comfortable and full optional. We feel as we were at home. Center of the town is 20 minutes walk from the hotel. A top rated solution.

Goswell House is located in central Windsor and has 16 en-suite guest bedrooms. All bedrooms have air conditioning and heating that can be controlled in the room. There is a bathroom with shower and bath tub. Free toiletries. Fluffy towels. A dressing table / work desk and in most cases a comfy chair and table. There is a hair dryer. free tea and coffee facilities and a mini safe. Rooms are set over three floors and the hotel front door is located on a pedestrian street less than a minute's walk from Windsor Castle. A self service continental breakfast is available for an additional cost. Goswell House Hotel is a historic listed building in the heart of Windsor town centre - close to the vibrant Windsor Royal Station shopping and dining area and good for local bars, clubs, restaurants and cafes. Booking direct with the hotel means you are guaranteed to get the best rate possible.
If you want a good night’s sleep at the weekend, then think twice as Goswell House Hotel is not for you. If you are young, single or a young couple who want to go clubbing and are happy to stay out until the early hours, then this is the place for you. The hotel is just 2 minutes from the train station and the castle and only 30 seconds from the nearest nightclub! In terms of the bedrooms, a couple of friends stayed in 2 separate rooms (one overlooking the Main Street in a Superior Room) and the other just off the Main Street. Unfortunately for me, my room was almost overlooking the entrance of the nightclub. All 3 rooms were nicely decorated, clean and tidy. The bathroom was spotless with great water pressure and very hot water. There is no mini fridge in the room. The bedrooms are good value for money and the Housekeeper was very courteous and accommodating. On arrival, as soon as you walk through the front door, everything smelt fresh and clean. Therefore, it’s such a shame the hotel is situated down such a busy and noisy alleyway. If you are expecting a good night’s sleep then this place isn’t for you on a Friday or Saturday night! On both nights, fights occurred where police were needed to break up the violence! It really didn’t go quiet until 4am on both mornings. Therefore, you’d be better off booking into a nearby Travel Lodge, or make sure you pack good quality ear plugs to block out the noise. We did not choose to eat the continental breakfast so can’t comment on this. Finally, please note after 5pm the hotel is unmanned. There is a passcode pad outside the door. Therefore, make sure you notify the hotel if you’re checking in after this time as someone will need to email you relevant instructions to gain entry and collect your room card. Unfortunately, I have no desire to return to this hotel. At my age, I need a good night’s sleep, so this hotel is definitely not for me.

We stayed at The Eton Mess bank holiday weekend. There were no functions on at the time so cannot comment on noise and disturbance. In fact we found the room quiet and comfortable. Had pre booked for Sunday Dinner and was not disappointed. It was excellent! Cooked to perfection, plenty of roast beef plus all the trimmings and such tasty gravy. We live an hours drive away but wouldn’t hesitate to drive that far, for this roast dinner. Seated next to a regular Sunday diner who’s company also added to the experience. Both evenings I had a cocktail in the bar, this was made with love and affection. Beautiful to look at and very enjoyable. Front of house even made one for me and delivered it to the room! We hope to return soon!
