Though overshadowed by its southerly neighbor Venice, Treviso boasts a similar network of canals and maze-like medieval streets, tucked away behind historic defensive walls. The newer part of town holds a bevy of museums and restaurants serving Treviso’s signature dish: tiramisu.

Wow, this was a very special visit. Wall of text incoming: Truth to be told, the domain was beautiful and must be a real pleasure to stay.. if it wasnt for the owner.. We’ve doing b&b’s for our whole life and decided to do the same for our honeymoon. We arrived quite early around 14:30 and wanted to leave our luggage in the b&b and visit Treviso. We saw a car and the door next to the gate was open, so we entered and proceeded to the house to find the host and check-in. The reception was open but we did not see anybody, so we wanted to go back outside, but the door next to the gate, through which we came closed and that apparently caused it to auto-lock. As a result we were trapped inside the domain... We tried calling the host several times but no answer. We saw the gate was a manual system so we opened this to get outside. At that moment we saw the gardener at work, we explained how we got trapped and asked if he knew where the owner was. He tried to call someone but also to no avail. He came with us to the entrance from which we then saw the owner arrive with friends/family. The owner was friendly and asked our papers to proceed to the check-in. After filling all details he just said: “go to your car and wait there, i am going to get the police since you entered my domain without my permission”... after which he left with his car, even leaving his other guests. We were in disbelief and were left with his other guests (friends/family). We were able to do our story to them and they understood us and even appologized for all this and his strange behaviour. After 30-40minutes(!!) the owner came back, laughing at us and saying he informed the police, saying we had to stay in our car and under no condition enter his property. Bye bye holiday/honeymoon-mood.. 30minutes later still no police, only the owner himself laughing at us and handing us over some print-out with the law about tresspassing.. We decided to call the police ourself so we were sure we couldnt be held accountable for anything and just leave to find another b&b. When the police arrived we explained everything via google translate, since nobody understood english, and they understood our actions. The owner was ofcourse super friendly to the police but kept belittling us in english with a smug face. This was the worst customer experience we’ve ever witnessed and despite the location I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Modern B&B in a great location, clean and tidy with a plentiful breakfast. Parkrun start just five minutes walk away. Customer service is very good, although very little English spoken. No 7 bus stop to city centre also very close by but buses stop around eight in evening. Check MOM (bus) website for timetable. Eating out can be a challenge with only one restaurant nearby, book in advance to secure a table. Would stay here again.

Camere di charme con vista nel cuore di Treviso. 4 camere con vista su Piazza dei Signori e Palazzo dei 300 2 suite con terrazza panoramica 1 camera basic
Having never stayed in a boutique hotel before we weren't sure what to expect but we certainly didn't expect such a wonderful experience. From the charming, polite and helpful staff to the beautiful room which was an interior design dream, such attention to detail with many stylish features, immaculately clean, gorgeous smells and the icing on the cake, two full length windows looking onto the historic square. Treviso itself captured our hearts, the ambience, the people, the food and drink not to forget the shops, architecture and fun of walking around it's maze like streets finding great bars and cafes. The bells in the church don't ring till 7am and stop at night, the road outside the hotel is so quiet. It really is a wonderful place, we were sorry to leave but will definitely return for a longer stay next time.

Carnival in Venice As soon as I arrived, the time to leave my suitcases in the Hotel, immediately I immersed myself in the Venice Carnival, meanwhile, a light mist descended, creating an even more enveloping atmosphere.

Fabio welcomes you in the mediaeval town of Treviso, into her "19, Borgo Cavour" design Bed and Breakfast. The Bed and Breakfast is located in the center of the city, at few minutes walk from Duomo and central Piazza dei Signori. 19, Borgo Cavour is a tastefully modernized 17th century dwelling, offering a unique alternative to Hotel living. Guests are accommodated in one of the four spacious bedrooms, each on a separate floor, with private bathroom and air-conditioning - offering complete comfort and privacy. The city of Treviso is a sophisticated mix of ancient and modern cultures and offers a perfect base for short excursions to many historical and cultural sites, like Asolo, Bassano del Grappa and Valdobbiadene - worldwide known by wine lovers for Prosecco. The magic of Venice is only 20 minutes away by train.Guests are served breakfast altogether around the kitchen table. A natural wood stove generates a warm and cosy atmosphere in chilly weather.
What a marvellous find is 19 Borgo Cavour. It has to be the best in Treviso. A beautiful building under typical arches, right by one of those canals that make Treviso feel like Venice, without the crowds. The room was large, beautiful, stylish, with lovely details, sparkling clean, with a wonderful shower. The attention to client simply wonderful: on the day of my departure I was allowed to stay and work (there’s great WiFi) for as long as I wanted, at no extra charge. There’s a beautiful secluded garden you can use, too. Piazza del Duomo is literally round the corner. I loved my stay, it could not have been better.

My stay was short but wonderful. Domus Dotti is fabulous, a little palace hidden behind an unassuming frontage on a historic street in the old town of Treviso. The location is perfect for discovering the charms of the town, of which there are many, & despite its central position it is a haven of tranquility within. The accommodation is quaint, yet grand, & full of character. My room was very comfortable, & everything worked well. Just six rooms, this is a personal, boutique experience, & whilst not manned 24 hours, the owner/staff could not have been more friendly & helpful. It won’t suit everyone, those who seek full hotel services perhaps should look elsewhere, but if you like a bit of quirk & atmosphere, it’s a magical choice. My early departure meant that I missed breakfast, which is served at a nearby bakery, such a lovely idea.
