A garden and a pool in the middle of Taroudant. Surrounded by the antic walls of the kasbah.
I just retuned from spending 1 night at the Dar Tourika. What a neat place. Very understated from out front - but just lovely once inside. The grounds are built against the old city wall. The room was basic but comfortable and relaxing. The pool area is nice and the food was great. The staff were very accommodating; attentive and helpful. If you are going to or passing through Taroudant I would recommend this property.

Our one-of-a-kind, eco-friendly property is surrounded by agricultural land is located just a few minutes of the age-old ramparts of Taroudant. The exquisite, contemporary gardens designed by world renowned landscape architects, Eric Ossart and Arnaud Maurieres, are among the most beautiful of the Mediterranean basin area. The 10 rooms and 6 suites (among which, one w/ 2 double rooms) are on the ground floor (Atlas and Siroua suites = 1st floor) and scattered throughout the property w/ direct access to the garden and pools (1 heated in winter)... This magic place is ideal to host your events... For up to 250 people.
Do not miss this amazing place while travelling to southern Morocco. The history of the property and how it became the place it is today is part of the charm of the Dar. The desert garden is a delight, the staff incredibly helpful and it feels like to be home. Choose a room in one of the back courtyards: more quite and intimate.

Riad Taroudant is located in the center town of Taroudant. It has been fully renovated in 2008 in the berber style. Each of the 16 rooms has its bathroom, air conditionning, television. We offer a swimming pool, three lounges, a traditionnal hammam and a big terrasse with its pergola and a large mexican garden. Fouzia will cook for you wonderfull moroccan diners and splendid breakfasts. Riad Taroudant is also a transport and hiking agency. We offer hikes for a day, in the mountains or in others natural and cultural spots.
We booked this room on the road from Ait Ben Haddou and found it easily. Driving in the medina can be challenging, but we had no problem parking out front while we got settled in. A friendly young family member helped us park our car later in the official lot near La Place Assarag. Room was clean and cozy. Fantastic breakfast on the beautiful terrace. Friendly, warm and helpful staff. So hospitable. Only downside was a bit of cabbagey sewage smell from the bathroom - be sure to keep the windows open.

love this house, so simple so beautiful, there is an harmony here, not show off at all just genuinely sincere. Decoration is monochrome, garden look like wild but in fact it s like a arty creation, rooms are comfortable, mine was so cute with a private covered balcony, spacious sharing bathroom, some rooms have their own , don't worry. Sana was a great host. Breakfast and dinner are tasty and generous. there is a garden outside the city, pool ll be open in april...best place to rest and enjoy the peaceful Taroudant city

First of all, this hotel is not easy to find if you come by car. The Avenue Mohamed V is not an avenue but a narrow winding main street. The riad is off the western end, about 250 metres from the Bab Targhount which is actually labelled on the outside. So: follow the city wall westwards closely until you come to the Bab Targhount. The Riad is well-signposted - and everybody knows it, so if in despair, just ask. The courtyard is lovely and the whole place calm and cool. The lighting (very white and harsh, not LED) leaves something to be desired in a room which (like ours) had 'borrowed light' through a window opening on to the gallery which surrounds the patio. Sitting on the gallery was preferable to in the somewhat cramped room. Dinner was a bit bland (with a spotlight from the other side of the lovely courtyard directed towards the table), but breakfast (as usual in south Morocco) was splendid. During Ramadan, dinner will not, of course, be served until dusk, though breakfast after dawn is no problem.

Everything was excellent. At arrival, the kindest hoster i have ever met, offered us natural orange juice, menta tea and marocan biscuits. Meanwhile, he entertained us with an outstandingly educated and cult conversation, making us feeling comfortable and motivated in the visit to Taroudant a d Maroc. Surprisingly, we were offered free bottled water. Well equipped facilities. We visited the kitchen, when the chicken tagin was been finalized. Next day, a very good breakfast. excellent!

Three of us stayed three nights at this large riad, which has a beautiful courtyard garden, & a superb grapefruit tree (we had these fresh every morning for breakfast). Latifa who manages the riad does a great job & her cooking is the best! It is a good 15 mins walk to the main square, which we found to be fine, and walking around the streets of taroudant in the warm evening nights was pleasant. It was hard to locate, and the owner was in France & we did not have a direct local number for the riad, this was not verbalised to us on booking. If you do not speak French this may be an issue, communicating with Latifa. We haggled on the price and what we paid was acceptable for what we received. The riad needs a little bit of love & maintenance, & then the price the owner is asking for would be reasonable. All in all ,we really enjoyed our stay. Taroudant is a fantastic place to visit and the surrounding valley.
