Tallinn's atmospheric Old Town is an enthralling hodgepodge of medieval streets and spires. It's a small city, and the tourist areas are safe and easily explored on foot. Buy a Tallinn Card if intending to use buses, trolleys or trams. For a look into Tallinn's past, visit Rocca-al-Mare Open Air Museum's typical rural Estonian taverns, windmills and watermills, see the onion-domed 1900 cathedral or join the bustle in historic Town Hall Square. St. Olav's spire was once the tallest in the world.

Villa Hortensia is situated in the restored Masters Yard quarter in the heart of Tallinn’s Old Town. Nearby you will find a number of interesting art and handicraft galleries, as well as the now world-famous Pierre chocolate café.
A perfect location with a wonderful hostess, Lesa. We stayed two nights in an upstairs apartment, a single room on the old town. The taxi bringing us pointed to our accommodation so we had to walk about 60 meters as he could not get any closer. Personally shown how to get in and out and given clear instructions in such clear English, we have been very happy here. We have a small kitchen, a doorma window balcony and a bedroom with TV and a private bathroom. All in good and very clean order. It was so quiet even with the iron man competition on this weekend.

What a find! Tucked away in a small elegant neighborhood just a few minutes walk from a major bus stop in one direction and a historic park with museums in the other. Karin, the hostess, could not have been more helpful, even suggesting buses and restaurants and other destinations on a map. Her English is surprisingly good, and her breakfasts were hearty and delicious. I stayed for seven nights and ate a variety of freshly made omelettes, Scotch eggs, rye porridge, egg and sausage casserole, multiple fresh fruit selections, traditional fish spreads, local breads. Some mornings I lingered over coffee. My room was cleaned daily, and everything was quite comfortable. I would definitely return, maybe just to talk with Karin!

My wife and I wanted to spend a couple of days in Tallinn and came across this cute little place! It was just perfect! We stayed in the small double room. Very quaint and adequate. Just what we needed, a nice room, nice bathroom, and Wi-Fi. We were able to explore the town and come back to a nice room, private and cozy. A perfect getaway for us. They also had breakfast included which consisted of the basics, coffee, tea, water, fresh cucumber, tomatoes, breads, cheese, ham, and you can order eggs along with porridge and some other items. Definitely recommend for the wanderlust travelers! Terviseks!

Very noisy hotel. If you want a sleepless night you can go there, but if you want to sleep do not go there. It is an absolute catastrophy as a hotel: hard to find the place, no personnel, no comfort, just cheap, sleeping in the car would have been a better option.

Staff seemed friendly and communication was easy beforehand with e-mail. Location close to city centre and public transportation was a plus. But the accommodation itself was disappointment. I understand the house is old and has it character but I got some issued with throat soreness which went off when got back home. So don't risk your health, theres probably mold. Our room wasn't clean (blood on the wall, bedlinen were ripped off). Own private toilet was a joke. Just a wooden door which left huge hole when you tried to close it, so no privacy at all. Nothing to clean the shower floor either. The place was tried to fix with nice decorations and retro stuff, which doesn't really help the bigger problems. With these prices I can't recommend
