Quaint, family run B&B nestled in the heart of the Cotswolds. 2 recently refurbished, self contained rooms complete with en suite bathrooms. Both have full sized double beds and 1 room has the option of an additional single for small families. Each stay comes with full breakfast. Central location with easy routes to Gloucester, Cheltenham, Stroud or just a short walk to the Cotswold Way.
Denise made sure that the stay was comfortable for our infant son which was our top priority for this trip to UK. She upgraded us to the Annex which was perfect for a family with an infant. All the requested food items for our son were provided with the breakfast. Denise makes awesome breakfast- best omelette we ever had! She went above and beyond as our host :)

All I can say is that it was perfection. We stayed in the cottage which had access to a garden which was perfect as we took our dog with us. The staff could not be anymore helpful and everyone was polite and friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. Our dog was given a sausage every morning when we went into breakfast. We had meals in the restaurant also. There was a little wait for our meal but when they are cooked fresh you don’t mind waiting a little longer. Did not have a bad meal for the 3 evenings we ate there. We would like to thank Sheila who was excellent during breakfast service and also telling us the best places to visit in the area. We have come home chilled and relaxed and look forward to visiting you in the future.

Court House is a listed building which seeps history through its walls; each room tells a tale of its own. As you enter the front gates you're instantly taken by its grandeur; you truly will never forget your stay at Court House. You will not find a better example of British countryside. Painswick is at the top of a valley and offers stunning views.
Hotel is stunning and full of potential but we experienced a lack of service for the price we paid:- Getting in through the gates on arrival took 15mins. Electric connections in room were very inconvenient. No dinner on Mondays and Tuesdays however the local pub was excellent. The hotel bar closed at 8.30 along with access to the external sitting areas - early night. Breakfast was buffet style, not cooked to order.

Arrived on Monday afternoon after a visit to WWT Slimbridge. Lovely location with a fantastic courtyard with seating and tables. Decided to have evening dinner there and I can honestly say that was of the nicest meals we had with delicious red wine. We had the stuffed chicken breast, stuffed with chorizo and mozzarella, with sautéed potatoes and leeks with a red wine sauce, superbly cooked. Room 6 our bedroom was unbelievably gorgeous, coupled with the luxury bathroom. The staff were also very efficient and friendly. Also the full English breakfast was so tasty and great produce. Highly recommended.

This hotel is owned by Ethan, a highly rated Chef (who doesn't work in this kitchen) and I would suggest that he needs to apply the attention he pays to his cuisine to his hotel. We were told there was no beer at the bar due to a busy night the night before- yeah right! This was a bank holiday weekend. Dinner was acceptable- just. The veg was extremely dry. Breakfast was interesting, chipped cereal bowls, a cracked fruit juice jug and the manager having to go over to the co-op to buy some wholemeal bread for toast during service. The chatter in the breakfast room was all about Faulty Towers. The bedroom was quite large but a bit tired. The mirrored bedside tables were all cracked, there was a continental power socket hanging out of the wall and the wash basin leaked. The shower was dangerously hot to the point that you could not stand under it. We also found a small bottle of water on the floor from a previous occupant. This place needs work.

4 AA Gold Star Set in a former 17th-century coaching house, this stylish country inn with B&B lodging is 8.1 miles from the unfinished Gothic Revival Woodchester Mansion and 9 miles from Cirencester. The 9 chic, contemporary guestrooms feature en suite bathrooms, as well as free WiFi, flat-screen TVs, and tea and coffee-making facilities. Full English breakfast is free. The airy pub features fireplaces and a garden, and serves real ales and classic, locally sourced dishes with a modern twist.
Very disappointing, ruined our evening. When we arrived the dome was filthy, old food remnants on the table, not laid out for us. After complaining the table was wiped and 10 minutes later the cutlery arrived with the manager. After another 10 minutes a tray of bread rolls and some olives arrived as compensation for the poor experience. Eventually we received menus with an extremely limited selection, hardly anything we really fancied, so we had fish & chips (x2), a burger, gammon and salmon (x2). Another 40 minutes elapsed before the food arrived and the portions were small, certainly not worth the monies paid. We wouldn't recommend this place to anyone and won't be returning.

In the heart of the South Cotswolds and a perfect place to relax and enjoy the bustling town. A local, family run business with attention to detail for a relaxing and comfortable stay. Wilder is our tasting menu restaurant just a stones throw away on quirky Market Street- be sure to book a table.
We stayed one night thank goodness room was nice overlooking the square. It was very expensive for what it was. Parking a problem. Breakfast poor. Not a facility I would use again. We had been recommended to eat in the Britannia pub opposite which did not provide a good meal. A night to forget

The Star Inn offers accommodation in Whiteshill, Stroud in the stunning Cotswold Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Guests can enjoy friendly hospitality in this traditional English pub with the on-site bar serving a wide selection of fine ales, wines and other drinks. With easy access to Gloucester, Cheltenham and its racecourse, and the Cotswold Way National Trail there are many reasons to visit us and we look forward to welcoming you whether you are on a business or pleasure trip.
Stayed here for two nights. The room was spacious with a fantastic shower. Plenty of tea and coffee making facilities. Ken was the perfect host. Recommended places to visit and to eat. Good selection of gins in the pub. Room was very clean. Due to COVID the pub wasn't doing food which also meant no breakfast. This hadn't been obvious at time of booking so was a little disappointing. Some funsize cereals would have done the trick. The room (not B&B) is a great base and comfy so if you go knowing this you won't be disappointed. Do accept dogs with prior arrangement and charge a fair cleaning cost for this so great if you want somewhere to go with your four legged friend. Ken can also recommend plenty of walks from the location.
