La Haut or Le Haut literally means "the height" in Patois, a French dialect that is commonly spoken by St. Lucians. La Haut sits on a hill overlooking Soufriere, one of the oldest towns in St Lucia.Part of a 52-acre former coconut and cocoa estate, the main Guest House possesses a unique history. Nearly 100 years old, the main guesthouse was originally a cocoa house used for fermenting and drying cocoa beans hand-picked on the estate. In 1995, the building was converted and refurbished into a 6-room guesthouse. The nearby cottage was a former copra house where coconuts were once processed.Although the rich aroma of cocoa beans no longer wafts through the air, at La Haut you can enjoy the perfume-scented, tropical fauna or the salty breeze that blows off the Caribbean Sea.
The front office staff are amazing. The location of the hotel is second to none with stunning views of the Pitons. The rooms themselves are well stocked but could use some updates. The restaurant on site is currently closed which made meals a little challenging without a vehicle but again the front desk staff were extremely helpful

Samfi Gardens is a newly established family owned property which offers accommodation in eight (8) self-contained villas, 7 of which are called Vacation homes and 1 of which is called Honeymoon Suite. Bed sizes ranges from small cots to Queen and King Size bedding. Our villas are fully equipped and provide a comfortable rejuvenating setting.
The view is very nice but you have to think about renting a car or hiring a driver for a day if you stay there longer than one day… there are a few nice restaurants in the area, you can walk to Beacon during the day but not at night

This was our first long haul flight since before the start of the pandemic, having travelled extensively around the world. Upon arrival we were treated to an efficient check in and a rum punch:). The room was exactly if not more than we expected for the price we paid. It was a large room, clean, plenty of towels, in a good location and just a few steps away from the pool. It is not a luxury hotel but in fairness it doesn't advertise itself as one. Some days we did have to ask for towels, coffee and toilet rolls but Hey Ho, this is the Caribbean (and exactly what we needed) as soon as we made the call they were always prompt with their response and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. On our first day we asked for more coat hangers and were asked if we could call back later that day and we could pick them up from there. We completely forgot and when we returned to our room they had been left on the side. The staff behind reception were a delight, my husband mentioned that we were going on a trip and would need clean beach towels in the morning, the reception staff remembered and had clean towels waiting for us! Having the use of all of the Bay Group hotels is a bonus, most days we used the facilities at Bay Garden Resort Inn, sun beds were always available and the guy monitoring was so helpful with a good sense humour. As I mentioned above everything described about the hotel was exactly what "it said on the tin". If you have higher expectations then you need to book one of the high end hotels but miss out on the "real Caribbean"

Don't just Dream it! Do it!
Wonderful gardens, super location and so very peaceful. We had a wonderful few days here and came here after an all inclusive resort and wish we had of just come here first. The grounds are so nice and there are humming birds constantly around the pool. It truly is a wonderful place. Something to note, all beaches in Saint Lucia are public therefore you don't have to stay at a hotel located on the beach.

This original home was converted into a vacation rental from the advice of frequently hosted overseas friends of the owners. Guests are in close proximity to public transportation and a bus ride to the Rodney Bay area with its shopping malls, bars and restaurants, banks costs $EC2. The beach is nearby.

Zamaca' is located on the East Coast in a gated scenic development. Each elegantly furnished bedroom has a private bathroom. We also offer well appointed facilities for conferences and seminars. We are near one of the two international airports, and within driving distance of all the Island attractions, which include unique nature reserves as well as night life. The balconies and a large communal veranda face the lush valley and the secluded accessible private beach.
I started this review in my head so many times, and the reason is because I absolutely loved Ellen & John's home. The moment we arrived, we felt at home. Elle greeted us with a big smile and so much warmth. She asked us to sit and have a drink, to enjoy the sunset and the stunning view. John appeared in that moment and he, too, greeted us with the biggest smile. Once we finished our drinks, we were shown our room. The room was exquisitely decorated, comfortable bed and had also a big bathroom. The moment we stepped into our room it was hard not to go outside in the balcony and enjoy the breeze. After a week of air-conditioning, the feeling of a fresh breeze was needed. Ellen and John are the perfect hosts. You can have it both ways, if you want your privacy, you'll be left to it. If you would like to socialise with them and others guests, you will absolutely be able to do that too. Over the 4 nights, we got to know Ellen and John, as well as their other guests. We shared a drink or two and it felt like family. This couple will make your stay memorable as they will do everything they can to make you feel at home and happy. Now, I'm leaving the best for last. Ellen's cooking. We had good, bad and terrible experiences during our holiday when it comes to food. Ellen's food made up for all of it as we had the best meals of our holiday. Breakfast, delicious. Dinner, absolutely perfection. What more can we say? Thank you so much for having us, Ellen and John. We absolutely loved your company and home. ?

In the heart of soufriere, we serve as the classic and plentiful rest and vacation spot in the south of the island. There is easy access to public transport and a variety of captivating activities to part take of when visiting our fair town.
Church Street Guest House is in the center of Soufriere, which is a very picturesque town, but also very basic. In general better for a day visit than a longer stay, and more South/Central America than Caribbean paradise (unless you really spend lots lots of money...) To start with the positive, our room was nicely furnished with a small kitchenette we used to make breakfast. We had an own bathroom, a bit basic, and overall it was clean. The star of the guesthouse was Jessica, who took care of everything: when the power went out while my husband standing soaped under the shower, giving us recommendations where to go, arranging for a very good and reliable driver, Bradley (excellent!), and trying all she could to make the stay as good as possible. Thanks so much for that!! The area around the house was so-so, and especially on the first day (Friday) it was so noisy in the village with awfully loud rap music until 4 a.m., that we hardly could sleep. This, and the price - which was reasonable for St. Lucia but overpriced when compared to other parts in the world - and most likely also our wrong expectation, as we expected a smooth and trouble-free and quiet holiday, does not allow a rating higher than 3.

My son and I visited St Lucia the first time for some quality time together. We chose Rodney Bay and came across this new boutique hotel. The room was very comfortable, with balcony overlooking mango trees and sea view at a distance. The owners, GM, and the team were excellent. We joined a meditation session taught by the owners. A very refreshing experience! The area was very safe and Rodney Bay was within 5 minutes walk from the hotel. There were lots of restaurants to choose from, either along the beach or along the road parallel to the beach in the neighbourhood. Thoroughly enjoyed our trip and would have no hesitation in recommending it.

Lovely little 'mini hotel' that feels more like a B'n'B - exterior of the building is colourful and stands out amongst the other residential homes in the area (and the hills!), when you look up from Anse La Raye village! Rooms are basically furnished and the shower room is basic and small. However, because of its location and height, it has great views looking down towards the coastline, Anse La Raye Village, vegetation and forestry of the hills and the sea in the distance! Breakfast was limited as they'd run out of ingredients that day but otherwise OK. Rooms are kitted with comfortable beds and good AC units. Downsides were that unfortunately our room was littered with flying ants and bugs which could be seen all over the white linen of our beds and on the walls - but we didn't complain as the location has a lot of trees and plants in the local area, so we presumed that this couldn't be helped? However, it definitely affected our comfort levels and sleep! Also, we only had cold water in our bathroom, which wasn't ideal. The small pool that you see in the picture clearly hasn't been used or cleaned for a long time too, so was covered in dead bugs floating on the surface of the water as well as within it - very unappealing! Plus, due to its location being right next to the lounge/dining tables etc, its smack-bang in the middle of everything and is too small to swim in, so was a bit pointless to have. A car is advised for the very hilly and steep roads to get there.
