The Victoria Falls Waterfront is situated on the Northern banks of the Zambezi River, approximately 4 km's upstream from The Victoria Falls and just opposite Siloka (Long) Island. This establishment is designed to attract the younger more adventurous traveller (and of course the young at heart!) who wish to experience the Great Zambezi River, the wonder of the Victoria Falls and its stunning wildlife surrounds, without great expense. It is designed to cater for all travellers, from camping to basic, good quality chalet accommodation. The Waterfront has some lovely riverside chalets with balconies and stunning views. We also have Adventure Village Tents which are permanent tents with 2 x single beds and a campsite - so something to suit everyone. The lodge has fantastic amenities including 2 x swimming pools, a popular bar, restaurant with Peppino's by the river's pizza's (delicious!). There is also an internet cafe, wifi, small souvenir shop and a large activity centre who will help with all activities in the area.
Had a good experiance at waterside lodge. Room was cleaned daily and comfortable with a riverside location with amazing sunset view. The hotel location is by the riverside which is a bit out of town and would need taxi transfer to all sites including the Falls. I had a phone number of a great taxi driver which proved valuable for getting around. All staff at the hotel were welcoming. The bar and restaurant suited me as solo traveller which is what had motivated me to stay there rather than a large hotel group which might have had more luxury facilities . over all I enjoyed my stay at the waterside lodge

Situated close to the Victoria Falls, one of the biggest wonders of the world, Tabonina Guesthouse is a secure, cosy and relaxing guesthouse located in the peaceful Nottie Broad area of Livingstone, only a short walk away from the town centre. Set in a beautiful mango tree garden, Tabonina Guesthouse consists of nine en-suite rooms and two non en suite rooms, with an ablution block nearby, a breakfast/dinner area, a sitting room equipped with large flat screen TV, a swimming pool, a gazebo with pool table for drinks and games, and a self-catering kitchen.
I do a lot of traveling while working remote and Laurent and his staff were amazing in both getting me a great room to stay in, as well as, a room closest to the wifi router, and helping me book all of the adventures that can possibly be done in the entire area (Victoria Falls, Devil's Pool, high tea with elephants, river rafting the Zambezi River, a day trip to Chobe in Botswana). I would happily stay here again!!

Kamunjila Lodge is an excellent choice for travelers visiting Livingstone, offering a family-friendly environment alongside many helpful amenities designed to enhance your stay. Rooms at Kamunjila Lodge offer air conditioning, a desk, and a mosquito net. If you’re looking for an Asian restaurant, consider a visit to Golden Leaf or Green Tree Lodge, which are all conveniently located a short distance from Kamunjila Lodge. There is no shortage of things to do in the area: explore popular history museums such as Livingstone Museum. Enjoy your stay in Livingstone!
Kamunjila was a small lodge not far from the main business area of Livingstone town. It had a nice setting with trees and other vegetation and a pool. My room was pretty simple and basic, but there were flowers in the room to give some character. The room was clean and worked well, even though the quality of construction was quite low, e.g. doors were smaller than the door openings. When the front door was closed, such an opening was left between the door and the frame that the door didn't lock properly. The room was equipped with aircon and both UK and South African power sockets. The bed had a mosquito net. The shower wasn't up to Western standards, but did the job (the water was warm, but it took a while for it to warm up, and the water pressure was not great, but sufficient). WiFi worked mostly well, but sometimes it got slow. The area was quiet. The lodge water tanks were right next to my room and the sound of the water pump (or something similar) disturbed slightly. The business area of Livingstone town was a bit over 5 minutes away by foot, but it wasn't very useful for a tourist, as it had mostly shops and services targeted for locals (clothing, banks, etc.). There were a few supermarkets and some restaurants there. The Livingstone museum was about 15 minutes away by foot. A small lodge like this would easily get wonderful reviews by having a great service attitude. Unfortunately Kamunjila missed that opportunity. Looking at earlier reviews, I was probably served mostly by a different member of staff. I had to ask separately for almost every detail and often the answer was very short. E.g. I asked when the breakfast is and was told to come at 07:30. When I came, I saw it was a buffet, so it probably doesn't have an exact timing. I also asked where I could change money and was told to go change on the street without any further instructions (another guest overheard the discussion and was so kind to change money for me). The breakfast had pancakes, muffins, toast, cereals, juice, coffee, tea and a fresh fried egg and bacon. The lodge also served dinner. The dinner was quite pricey: I paid $45 for two dinners with dessert but without drinks. The quality of food was not up to the price, e.g. the chicken in my chicken curry was chewy.

Chambre confortable et bien décorée dans la résidence principale au milieu d'un jardin arboré; piscine à quelques mètres. Personnel discret et efficace. A 15 minutes à pied du centre ville en passant par des rues calmes. Prix très doux !

We were at The Royal Sichango for 2 nights in the king suite. Great space, clean, no mosquitos, just a bit hot, the air conditioner cannot cool the room. Darius and all the staff were super attencious and nice, special mention to Jonas, who drove us to the city and also guided us to the falls. We had a great time at the hotel and definitely we would recommend it!

I and my husband stayed for 3 nights for our vacation. The accommodation is a bit far from Livingstone town (about 40 minutes walk), but very cost-effective. The room is clean and comfortable with AC and fridge, and they have a nice garden, pool and bar, too. We felt truly at home thanks for Patrick and other staff's hospitality and kindness. Their hospitality was stunning, and the stay was far beyond the value for money!

Stay with us at The Stone Guest House and experience local Zambian culture and friendliness. Our central location in town will let you enjoy easy access to all the important amenities, adventure tours and other activities on offer in the area. With our wide range of rooms and rates, you will be sure to find what suits you best. Relax in our garden and let us take care of tedious organization of safaris and other adventure trips.
It's difficult to write something bad especially when you can exactly explain what was wrong. Why was there a sofa chair in the bathroom? This is a tired guesthouse some distance from town and any attractions. Staff are friendly although overall place is in need of an update especially if they wish to charge rates comparable with more modern hotels in town.

We had such a horrifying experience at this Lodge. The morning we were supposed to check in we were told our rooms weren't ready and we could perhaps have breakfast whilst waiting for the rooms to be cleaned. We agreed despite the fact that the manager, Ian had come to get us even though he knew the rooms weren't ready. We had to wait almost 3 hours for the breakfast and no apologies where given. Instead he came to tell us that it wasn't his fault that there were long queues in shops for him to purchase what his kitchen needed to cook us breakfast. We were then shown to the rooms and they were terrible. The rooms were too small, no aircons but small fans. The beds looked like the were not made and worse off each room had no bathroom, we had to share. We immediately told him were we not going to check in because of his terrible service, his unapologetic attitude and importantly his rooms were just pathetic. His staff was even worse, the kitchen girls wore inappropriate clothes(very short skirts, you could see their underwear), and they spoke zero English! This place is the worst place to go! After sometime waiting for transport to go to go to another lodge, we finally realised that this lodge seemed like a hookup lodge that local prostitutes bring clients. Not Recommended at All! Be warned.

Comfortable Lodge in residential part of Livingstone town with all rooms air conditioned and bath/shower rooms en suite. Single, double and family rooms all with breakfast included. Swimming Pool and a la carte restaurant. Lovely tropical gardens with al fresco dining. Handy for Livingstone Airport 8 minutes and 10km only from Victoria Falls. Airport transfers and visa waivers arranged.
Based on the previous good reviews, I was thoroughly underwhelmed with my stay at Chanters. I know that Chanters is a value/budget accommodation and not a 'boutique' lodge so I wasn't expecting luxury by any means but I was expecting it to be neat, tidy and functioning. Upon arrival I was greeted by 3 young lads breaking up the concrete immediately outside reception with pick axes and lump hammers. Clearly there's some renovation/ building work going on out the front but it did look like I'd stumbled in to a building site, not a hotel/lodge courtyard. My room had a TV which had a two pin plug which didn't fit in to the 3 pin (U.K) sockets. There was no adapter or anything that I could see to make it work (totally redundant). The shower was barely a luke warm trickle and there was a colony of ants in the tiled bathroom behind the toilet (not crept in through gaps in the flooring etc.). The screws to both the outside and bathroom door handles were both lose and almost came off in my hand. The bathroom itself was incredibly dated, the sink was detached from the wall and the shower cubicle was poorly finished. The bed in fairness was very comfy and the aircon was very effective when there was power! The swimming pool looked very uninviting and dirty. During my one night stay there were two separate powers cuts, each one lasting a no. of hours which meant I was unable to have a shower in the morning. The hotel either does not have a back up generator and or the back up itself was also broken. Lunch (tuna sandwich and chips) was very good and cheap (£3) but was painfully slow (45 minutes). In summary, Chanters was a disappointment. It's a property that I've had my eye on for some time but it just left me with an impression of neglect and a property that is no longer loved and been looked after.
