The Casa Ferrari is an extraordinary, family run B&B where the attention to detail is second to none. We offer our guests a warm welcome, a cozy atmosphere, and a caring and attentive attitude. For your comfort we provide high quality facilities in a quiet city-center neighborhood. Rooms furnished with early 20th century handmade Italian furniture provide a special accent. We are always ready to share the highlights of Bulgarian history and heritage giving our guests a personal look into Bulgarian life and culture. Our B&B is located in the center of Sofia and is only a short walk from Vitosha Boulevard and National Palace of Culture. Sorry, no smoking.
The price is very low compared to what is offered and it’s located in the center of Sofia (very easy to visit by foot). The owner is highly friendly and offered directly something to drink when I arrived. He is also answering very fast to your emails (even before arrival) and speaks English very good. He gave me all the necessary explanations and history needed to visit the country. The room and (private) bathroom were perfect and totally quiet despite you are in the center. The breakfast was local, homemade and very nice. —> I use to work now in luxurious hotels in Europe but I have to say that this hotel offers a very good quality/service at a very low price.

Just back from six days in Sofia. This boutique hotel is excellent. Room (with a balcony) was spacious, comfortable, and clean. Breakfasts (served each morning in the room because of the pandemic) were excellent. One has to choose from four options the day before, but I forgot to do this twice, and a scrumptious breakfast was still delivered. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and thoroughly competent. Centrally located, this hotel is perfect for exploring downtown Sofia on foot. Highly recommend! When and if I return to Sofia, I would be delighted to stay again at the St. George Hotel.

Now.... call me old fashioned but I do prefer my loo to be bolted to the floor! There is no doubt that this is a lovely hotel, set atop a picturesque wooded mountain, but lack of attentiveness and forethought do let it down. My partner and I stayed here for just a one night stopover on the way back to Sofia airport, with others of her family staying in a small suite next door to our double room. Good bits first, nice room, fair size flat TV (no English channels), comfortable bed, wet room with shower. We arrived with a requirement to print out our boarding passes (thanks to BA's very inconvenient restriction allowing printing of each separate flight within 24 hours of departure only). "Yes" we were told, "No problem", but it turned out to be a big problem and didn't happen.... so... no working printing facility for guests from our experience. Then to dinner.... which you would be inclined to eat at the hotel as otherwise you face a very narrow bendy steep road back to the villages on the outskirts of Sofia to find an alternative. Those of you who have been to Bulgaria before will already know that they have little or no concept of our rather regimented Starter... Main course... Dessert order, bringing all dishes ordered in utterly random order, but this Hotel managed to serve the first parts of the meal within ten minutes and one unfortunate member of our group had to wait 2 and a quarter hours for his main course.... despite my partner ordering exactly the same meal and she ate it over an hour before he even saw his plate! Another of us ordered a Red Bull, to be told it would be 30 minutes.... it arrived over an hour later! Breakfast the following morning was adequate (after a 15 minute wait to be noticed and our order taken), but accompanied only by either coffee (very small) or a herbal tea. "Juice?" we enquired... "No" was the reply. Note that the hotel does have a spa.... or will when it is finished. And my toilet really wasn't secured to the floor.... care required when sitting!

a small hotel but lovely , rooms are wide, clean , well decorated, some overlook a garden and others overlook a backyard, there is a minibar, a tv, a private clean bathroom, the hotel is rather eccentric in the city in a quiet neighborhood that becomes really really quiet at night, a tram station is infront of the hotel for trams 4 to serdica station, 10 to vitosha and other trams and buses. Breakfast is included and it turned out to be perfect. It is worth saying that the hotel personnel are very helpful and smiling .. something I really liked.

We had a really good time in this hotel for a few days. It is out of the busy streets of the city and close to the mountains, that we liked. I would sugest to chek in advance if there is a big event happening at the hotel, like a wedding, because it gets really noisy and crowded. That happend to us, thanks god for only one night.

Stayed as a couple in this hotel. Location is great, a one-minute walk to the Vitosha blvd, and many other central places. Rooms are spacious, well equipped. Furniture needs some maintenance, nothing major. Staff was very accommodating and cooperative.

Santa Sofia offer the perfect accommodation in the heart of Sofia. Situated only a few meters from The Statue of Saint Sofia – the city’s symbol – the guesthouse provides a fantastic location with easy access to a variety of historical landmarks.
We booked and pay in advance through booking. When we arrive, they didn't knew what we talked about. The girl looked confused (and didn't speak english tho they say on booking they do). She asked my name, and when I told her she made a face, said something in Bulgarian and all the people around laughed. After we waited 10 min, she took us upstairs and showed us a room we didn't booked at all (we paid extra for private bathroom and the room was small and without). We told her that so she asked us to wait, and she came back after 30 min (!!) to tell us that this is the only room that was left. We told her to cancel the booking cause we paid with card, and she didn't understand, so we talked with her manager on the phone and she was unpleasant. Until she understood why to cancel the booking so I won't be charged, it took around 20 min. I had to convince her to write me that I wont be charged cause she couldn't cancel my booking. I don't understand why do you use booking if you don't have these rooms or not available. And shame on you this is how you treat people.
