Great little hotel, in a grat location, a couple minutes walk from Skegness sea front. Was greeted well on arrival and shown to our room. The key fob for the front door wasn't explained on check in so had to ask the owner once we left for the first evening. The family room is a very spacious 2 bedroom apartment with a double and single in the en suite room and a single in the second room there is also a second toilet. Both bedrooms had flat screen tvs with free view. We weren't offered breakfast on arrival but we wasn't really bothered about that. Rooms were very clean and tidy but I would say a makeover would make this hotel even better. The only downside was the WiFi never seemed to work were we were on the top floor, so they could do with investing in a couple WiFi boosters. Overall enjoyed our stay at the home star and would definitely return.

Absolutely lovely stay here! Stayed here with our 6 month old, very baby friendly hosts and a lovely couple. The Hotel is lovely, beautiful garden out front, our room had a little balcony and was very spacious. Lots of lovely little extras for example cold filtered water, milk in a little frige at the end of the corridor, their was shower caps etc so if you did forget anything it was more than likely catered for. The room and hotel was extremely clean, breakfast was lovely with lots of options. Great location with a snicket to get to the beach and a short walk to the town centre, also a spar opposite and multiple food outlets. By far the best place we have been in skegness and we come multiple times a year. Beautiful, we will be back! Thankyou so much for our stay.

Called in for a lunchtime drink on 29/9/21 my first thought was the bar closed ? 1.00 in the afternoon??? Anyway we sat down 1 pint of bitter and 1 pint of lager and a bag of crisps = £9.20 ? now I expect to pay a bit extra on the coast but that’s expensive compared with our visit same time last year, then it dawned on us that that’s why it was empty

Paid £120 for one room for one night. This did not include breakfast. Apparently this did not include hot water for a shower either! The room door did not stay shut properly, so when someone walked past it opened slightly. The additional internal lock didn't work either. Will not be staying here again.

The room was sold as a Deluxe room but it was far from deluxe. The room was dirty in places and clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly. The biggest issue was the shower. There was no proper temperature control and it’s very dangerous. It changes from freezing cold to scolding hot without you touching any controls. My husband actually burnt his feet. If this happened to a child they would be seriously burnt. When we raised this with the management they weren’t interested in anything we had to say. I stressed how dangerous the shower was especially to a child or an elderly person unable to move quickly and all the lady could say was “we have certificates there’s no problem” We stayed in room number 8 and I would recommend nobody ever stays in there until it’s sorted (though I doubt it ever will be). Her lack of concern regarding the danger was astounding to say the least. We never ate in the hotel as the standard of cleanliness in the room left me doubting the standards throughout. A terrible experience. I wouldn’t stay there again even if it was free.
