This is by far the nicest hotel in one of the more remote parts of Russia. Located on the road between Krasnoyarsk and Tuva, it is a very nice rest stop. The rooms are clean and relatively comfortable. The beds leave a little to be desired, but are okay overall. Be prepared if you sleep with the windows open to hear train whistles all night from the Trans-Siberian which is right behind the hotel. The breakfast is good, and there's a sauna that's available for extra. If you're a foreigner be prepared to speak Russian as none of the staff speak English. Don't expect Western courtesy. As a foreigner always been treated a little suspiciously staying at the hotel. They'll ask a lot of questions, and are a little gruff, but will be helpful in the end. Overall, it's by far the nicest place to stay in Abakan, and is above average for most Russian hotels. Decent place to stay.

This is second time I have stayed in this hotel - both times it was for a 3 week period - both experiences have been good. The hotel itself looks nice from the outside and inside the rooms are modern and clean. The hotel is not right in the centre of town but that it why we preferred it ... because of its location it is nice and quiet (probably that's why Aeroflot flight crews were there every day as well). Although not in the heart of the town, can walk to central shops in 20mins and there is a park only 10mins walking time from hotel. Breakfast was fine and was included in our room rate. We had some lunches and evening meals in the hotel but we preferred to eat in town since when we we went to eat in the hotel we were told that unless ordering simple dishes it would be long waiting time (we were told it would be a 2 hour wait for a steak, when we then asked instead for a noodle dish with chicken or pork we were told it would be a 1 hour wait), so when eating in the hotel we only ordered soup, spaghetti, schnitzel type dishes since it could be served quickly. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was nice and it was cleaned daily. Laundry service was good ... same day/next day on the days we used it. We never tried the pool or sauna, so cannot comment on this. Hotel completed our registration for us and provided us our registration slips.

We stayed two nights here, organised by Sundowners Overland as part of our independent Trans Mongolian trip. It's up a steep local road which gives you a sense of local life. It is a very welcoming place run by a family and Baikal Complex tour company. There is always tea, coffee and biscuits available in the dining room / reception area. The food is very good. Irina and Maria are very hospitable and happy to help you pronounce Russian and organise taxis. We had a lower room opening out on to a verandah which looks out at a hill covered in beautiful autumn trees. Those who had upper rooms got views of Lake Baikal. Laundry is done promptly and economically. We loved staying here!

Have been staying for one night in January. It's a very nice cozy hotel, located about 200m from the main city bus station. Serving a very nice breakfast with a lot of meal and with unexpectedly yummy coffee from a coffee-machine. Where are at least two nice bars or restaurants within a walking distance: Cafe Bar city and the El Gran. Just near the hotel you can buy traditional Altay stuff like cosmetics, honey, nuts, souvenirs. Only one thing the hotel really needs - an access ramp. Here are many steps on stairs, so if you have a big luggage or a wheelchair - you would have a real troubles - the hotel doesn't have an elevator. But, to be honest, no one hotel i 've ever visited in Altay Republic has it. But i really hope, the hotel read my opinion and add at least a small ramp

Hotel " Abazhur " offers comfortable accommodation in the historic 19th-century mansion in the center of Tomsk. The hotel building is a monument of wooden architecture , which has been completely renovated in 2014 and converted into a charming hotel offering excellent service and a pleasant atmosphere.
I stayed five nights at Abazhur Hotel, from 24th of February to 29th of February, 2016. The hotel is located outside the city centre, but still it is not far to walk. Some reviewers said it is difficult to find the hotel. Actually it is not, just read the map a little. There are two roads from the airport to Tomsk. The taxi driver will most probably do the Bogashyovskiy trakt (parallell to the railway). The trip will be in about 30 minutes. The cost will be 600 rubles. After crossing one big roundabout, the tram tracks, Kirova street, the driver will turn right in Kartashova street (if he doesn't know, tell him). Two hundred meters and you (the driver) will see a sign written gastiniza (гостиница) on the right hand side. Turn right again, 50 meters and you're there. The hotel is a typical Russian wooden house, old, but maintained. You will be welcomed by a beautiful Russian woman (there are only beautiful Russian women in the staff) in the reception. They speak English much better then your Russian skills. I recommend you bring 500 rubles for deposit, the rest of your stay can be paid with credit card. Your migration card will be registered and soon you're ready to hit the city. My room was in the first floor, behind the reception. Because of that, I could hear some sounds from that area, but it didn't bother me that much. What did bother me was the person living over my head, walking with high heel shoes in the morning. I liked the room very much. Very good bed, big TV (for those who need that). No English speaking channels (chance for improving your Russian skills). Water for drinking, water boiler, refrigerator. Bathroom is not big, but big enough. Clean, warm, with bath tub. Water is warm. Shower soap, shampoo, tooth brush set. Plug for your hair dryer or shaver. Breakfast is located in the cafe in the basement (use the door opener on your key set). You'll get a voucher for breakfast in the reception in the morning. Don't expect a Plaza-style breakfast, this is a normal Russian breakfast. Breakfast staff doesn't know English, so make sure to learn some useful Russian breakfast-words. And if she doesn't smile to you, it's not because she is rude, she is Russian. I loved staying here. My biggest compliments to the woman who checked me in. I didn't learn her name. Always polite, and with a big smile.

We didn’t spend the night here, but the guesthouse we stayed at only offered a miserable overpriced breakfast, so my daughter convinced me to try breakfast at Voskreseniye. It was great! A delicious meal for the same price. The atmosphere is wonderful and we were able to sit out on the balcony and enjoy a beautiful sunny morning there.

Very clean rooms (take "business" ones, the bed is much better there), good service and excellent attention to customers needs. Not centrally located (10 minutes walk from the center), not really cozy surrounding, but close to a number of business centers (a couple of oil companies, courts, etc.), so if you are in Omsk for business visit, do not hesitate to use it. Besides, in the hotel is the best beer place in Omsk - "Kochegarka" (quite stylish former boiler house), where the breakfasts are served (allow extra 15-20 nminutes for the breakfast - the hotel place RUR 250 on you hotel card and you select from berakfast menu, so it takes some time to cook). 20 minutes driving from the airport.
