Reviewed By viharaaThis is a beautiful family run hotel set in the foothills of the Alps. The father and the two sons who are running the place are super hospitable, and helpful. It was wonderful to see how this family was so hands on with everything from waiting tables, to handling the bar, to running the kitchen. We stayed in a panorama view room (highly recommended, the view is priceless!). Decent size with all the necessary things you need. The shower sometimes wasn't giving enough hot water, which they need to fix. The food served in the restaurant was very good, small portions but I was quite fine with it. It is sad that they do not offer room service, breakfast on our balcony with that view would've been quite something! Also, I was a little disappointed that their restaurant was closed during the afternoon, and therefore didn't serve any lunch. To get to any restaurant in the nearby you have to hike down/up for around 15 minutes. The wellness area is very well equipped compared to the size of the rest of the hotel. Must try!

Additionally, our hotel in Scena/Schenna has been a 4-star hotel since its re-opening …deservedly so, we believe. The rooms are spacious and have become truly something wonderful – our culinary creations have always been exquisite, thanks to our head chef Andreas.
Excellent hotel for a relaxing stay
Reviewed By lara1797We visited this hotel on two occasions during the Christmas period. It was recommended to us by a family member who had nothing but great things to say about it, and being a 4 star hotel in one of the most stunning beauty spots in Italy, a place we visit regularly, we were expecting great things. And we weren't let down. The Christmas decorations were beautiful and tasteful, the food is of a 5 star quality, very refined, and the staff is attentive and extremely professional. The vibe of the hotel is simply wonderful, it's cosy and inviting and the decor is beautiful. Even the surrounding views are nice- it's situated in a valley, not far from the town of Meran but also quite close to the ski slopes. Meran is a small town and although the Christmas markets are nice and worth a visit, it isn't as bustling and exciting as other towns in the Südtirol-it's worth considering if you're bringing kids or teenagers with you. Downstairs there's three kinds of saunas and a room with beds where you can lie down and refresh, and although the area is small it's a quiet, relaxing space. There's also an inside pool and a gym, both very well kept. The rooms are quite spacious and very clean, even though the second time we visited the views from the windows were very deluding- we were often faced with the dustbins on the main entrance. I would recommend this hotel for a short visit, maybe a weekend stay, for the chance to ski, to relax and enjoy the wonderful cuisine. Another complaint would be the price of the drinks, which unfortunately is high, but the festive vibe and the beauty of the hotel made it a wonderful place to visit during the Christmas holidays.

Reviewed By mark sWe are regulars at this wonderful hotel in Sciena. Great rooms and overall atmosphere. Indoor and heated outdoor pool. Very freindly owner and service. Sommelier with focus on Italian and Southern Tirolian wines makes the great dinners even more delightful.

Ottima accoglienza e personale gentile. Quello che non é piaciuto è: - il pavimento con moquette, - il bagno non ristrutturato e con tenda per la doccia, - segnale wifi lento, - non accetta pagamento con carta.

Excellent rooms and a very nice wellness area with 3 saunas, pool and whirlpools. The day starts with an opulent regional breakfast and the dinner is always delightful with its 4-5 courses and the chance to choose in between options. We thank the owner and will certainly come back

Vintage but well maintained
Reviewed By PostcardSenderVintage feeling since the hotel is from the 70's but all the facilities are very well maintained. We had one of the larger room types. Located in the corner with a spacious balcony having nice view over the valley and surrounding mountains. Excellent breakfast. Helpful and attentive service. Very practical if arriving by car with easy access both to Merano center and to several cable cars allowing to explore neighboring mountain picks. Easy parking.
