we had a night here as we drove the NW 500 route and enjoyed our stay. the room was comfortable, has a fridge and a balcony, but the midges keep sitting outside to a limit plus the room had mosquito mesh on the window, a first we have seen in all the places we have stayed...well done!...the bathroom looked updated and very clean with everything you need including the soap, shampoo and lotion out of dispensers. the food in the restaurant was excellent, including the breakfast.

We had a really comfortable stay here for 4 nights with our kids and dog. Staff were very helpful and friendly, especially to the dog! Great meals, fresh and home-cooked. There was always a pub classic available and as well as something more restaurant-like- all really tasty and good value. Full cooked breakfast was excellent too. Enjoyed a few lovely dog walks along the beach and coast which are a minutes walk away from this lovely pub/hotel.

We had a most enjoyable four night stay at the Springfield. The friendly proprietrix was very helpful throughout our stay. There was ample off street parking. Our room was comfortable with tea and coffee making facilities. Continental Breakfast was on offer in a nicely set out dining room and there was a good variety of dining options available. I cannot recommend this guest house highly enough. From the minute we arrived to the minute we departed Jenny made us feel so welcome & nothing was too much trouble. Our room was spotless with high quality furnishings & bathroom fittings. This included an especially large bath which was very welcome to allow a relaxing soak! There is even a sauna which guests can use! Plenty choice for breakfast & it was delicious. Thank you. We will be back & have already recommended this establishment to our friends

Luxury accommodation in Cromarty, the Highland's best preserved historic town.
Totally agree with the other glowing reviews. The Factor’s House is spacious and tastefully appointed, just 5 mins walk from the cute town of Cromarty. But what really marks this B&B out is Fiona, the lovely host, and her amazing, restaurant-quality food. If you stay, make sure you take dinner at least once, at £45 per head it represents excellent value. One small thing, book direct so your breakfast will be included!

Beautiful, historical hotel in the heart of the Highlands. Ideal for Nature Lovers, Nessie Hunters or NC500 explorers. The Station Hotel is a beautiful historical building in the centre of the village of Alness. Alness is ideally located for many presitgious golf courses including Castle Stuart, Nairn Dunbar and of course Alness GC. The restaurant is open to residents and non residents and serves quality local food daily. Don't miss our famous Sunday Carvery We have twelve bedrooms available at reasonable rates with all the comforts you’d expect including TV, tea and coffee ma
Nice clean hotel, good big shower room. Check in bit confusing as no reception but staff very friendly & helpful. Bar meal was very nice. Continental breakfast disappointing, no cheeses or meats. Would stay again.

You can be assured, too, of a warm welcome here.
If you are looking to spend time away in beautiful and relaxing surroundings this is DEFINITELY the place to stay. Alasdair and Deirdre are absolutely incredible hosts and Alasdair is incredibly knowlegable about the area and can easily provide suggestions for routes and recommendations about where to eat out. From the word go they were spot on with making us feel welcome and provided extensive directions as to how to get there (Satnavs will end up making you lost, so its best to follow the directions they provide) We stayed in the Self Catering Lodge which more than met our needs. The bedrooms are tastefully furnished, have all the facilities you need and more and the bathrooms are incredible!. The games room was also great for spending some time with the family and we certainly enjoyed playing billiards and darts. The Grounds are absolutely spectacular and you are able to freely walk around them, there is also easy walking distance down to the "village" of Kilmuir, which has a very picturesque coastline and a "book swap" telephone box!. We cannot speak any more highly of The Old Drynie and we would totally recommend this without hesitation to any families or couples who would love a break in beautiful peaceful surroundings. Thanks Alasdair and Deirdre for making our stay such an amazing one!

Henshire B&B is situated alongside the Cromarty Firth near the market town of Dingwall in the heart Scottish Highlands. Surrounded by arable farmland and has a splendid scenic and mountainous backdrop. Guests can enjoy the peace and tranquility in the beautiful. Henshire has three generously sized rooms, comfortably furnished with finishing touches to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.
The best start possible to our tour round the NC500. Spacious and comfortable rooms, immaculate and clean. Excellent breakfast and friendly hospitality from Ian and Michelle. We drove the couple of miles into Dingwall for an excellent Indian meal in the evening which was well worth the research done beforehand.
