Three miles of twisty mountain roads up from Amalfi, the gorgeous resort of Ravello has been attracting celebrities for centuries, including Richard Wagner, Greta Garbo, Gore Vidal and D.H. Lawrence, who wrote Lady Chatterley’s Lover here. Ravello’s Duomo (Cathedral) and Villa Cimbrone (both 11th century) and Villa Rufolo (13th century) are all magnificent sights. The annual summer Ravello Festival began as a salute to Wagner’s music, but now showcases a wide range of music and arts.

Perched on the rolling cliffside across La Scala IL Ducato di Ravello offers a cozy, traditionally Mediterranean and authentic stay. Pietro is the most gracious host you could ask for. He will welcome you warmly with the perfect cup of delicious espresso, let you in on the secret places to visit and nurture your day beginings with great food like a true Ravello parent, alwaus asking if you'd like more. Expect fresh fruit salads, golden croissants, fresh cheese and antipasto, jams, and butter for breakfast all in large proportion to inject you with happiness! The location is perfect as it's just a breath away from the main square, offers a parking space (ideal if you're a traveling photographer) a gorgeous view of the village back and breeze aplenty under the pergola. Aside from the gentle clicking of the plates and cups in the kitchen (a sheer pleasure if you ask me) you'll only hear birds chirping, cicadas, and the occasional church bells. Spacious and comfortable Il Ducato di Ravello's rooms are traditionally tiled , sure to channel that Amalfi Coast mood, super cool and relaxing, and the beds will lull you to sleep in no time. The coldest air conditioning in Italy!! Beautiful location. Don’t let the drive to the hotel scare you, it’s located right in the middle of downtown. Rooms were lovely and clean. Breakfast was delicious and location was beautiful. Would recommend.

Stayed at Gala Residence, Villa Giovanna in Ravello for 4 nights. Firstly upon arrival the view from the front patio area is one of the best on the Amalfi coast. You will be mesmerised by the view of the ocean whilst eating an amazing freshly prepared breakfast Al fresco. The host sisters Luisa and Valentina are wonderful. From booking to arrival they responded quickly to messages and offered really useful information during our stay. We had a deluxe double room with balcony. Again with amazing views to the sea. The room was exceptionally clean, fresh crisp sheets and soft white towels. Honestly one of the cleanest well maintained rooms I’ve stayed in. Best sleeps I’ve had in years. Not sure if it was the great mattress or the fresh air and relaxing environment but I will definitely be returning in the near future. Ravello is a beautiful town quieter than many on the coast and this wonderful residence is without doubt the place to stay.

The B&B le Perle d’Italia is a recently refurbished property located in the very heart of Ravello historical center; this town of the Amalfi coast boasts an illustrious past and its artistic and natural beauty was already praised by the famous Italian poet Boccaccio in the Decameron, giving immortal fame to Landolfo Rufolo. The B&B Le Perle d’Italia is located just 300 meters from Ravello main square (Piazza Vescovado), with its Duomo (XI century) and the entrance to Villa Rufolo (XIII century); it is easily reachable on foot through a little over 50 steps.
We stayed here for two nights in October 2021 and had a fantastic experience. The host was very welcoming, and kindly allowed us to check out late on our departure day. The rooms were clean and spacious with a nice view. There is a kitchen area where we had breakfast (not very much choice but tasty) with a nice view but we were also able to access this kitchen during our stay to make tea or have some fruit which was a really nice touch. On our departure day the host kindly gifted us a bottle of lemoncello which we took back with us as a lovely souvenir. Would happily stay here again

located in the homonymous palace, residence,in the xii th century,of one of most important noble families in Ravello, the B&B Palazzo della Marra ,is situated just a few meters from piazza duomo, next to the ancient city entrance doors. it offers double rooms, with view on piazza duomo and on gardens below. guest can also enjoy sunbathing or having breakfast in the quietness,on a lovely terrace at the top of the building.
We stayed here 3 nights and to be totally honest I would stay a month if I could! The location of this beautiful little family owned hotel is incredible! Literally 1-minute walk from piazza duomo tons of food places within 5 minutes walk, and lots of shopping within the same 5-minutes walk. Gerardo was so extremely accommodating with everything that my review would go on for 10 pages and I won't do that to you... ? Breakfast was exactly watch you'd expect from a non 5-star hotel - there is an automatic coffee machine with at least six choices of coffee karma milk karma and chocolate milk. apart from that there are croissants with chocolate marmalade and plain as well as packaged ones with cream. there is bread and a toaster, slices of cheese, I think I saw sliced ham or salami of some type but we don't need that so not sure what it was, fresh fruits, variety flavours of yoghurt, fruit juices, slices of cake such as apple and chocolate... As you can see plenty of stuff. There are no eggs just fyi. There is a terrace at the very top that you can take your food up to to and there must say for us that rivalled any five star hotel. We just said up there and revelled in ravello and the beauty of the mountains all around. Gerardo also has two magnificent parrots that repeat what you say and talk to you and it's absolutely hysterical and super cute. As for the room itself, immaculately clean, the bed was super comfortable, very good strong air conditioning for such a small room which we basically shut most of the time, bathroom is also awesome with a very small shower stall but nice strong stream of water. We got the purple room and our bathroom tiles were absolutely beautiful and green. The medicine cabinet also has room for toiletries makeup etc, for you women... Basically I would stay here again and again when coming back to Ravello and honestly that's the only place to stay on the Amalfi Coast if you want quiet and not tons of tourists. Fyi my husband and I also spent 3 hours at villa rufolo which is barely a 3-minute walk from the hotel and we actually were willing to pay money to go again because it's so amazing. Do not miss!

La Dolce Vita includes landscaped terraces, gardens, a barbecue area and solarium, which are available to all our guests. La Dolce Vita is the ideal choice for a relaxing holiday dedicated to wellbeing in every season, a starting point for all sorts of excursions which will allow you to discover and admire the incomparable beauty of the Amalfi Coast, easy to reach Amalfi , Positano, Capri, Naples , Sorrento, Pompei , Vesuvius , Caserta and Paestum.
Property is situated on the hillside offering spectacular panoramic views. It’s within easy walking distance of the main square in Ravello. We stayed in the studio apartment Ole Sole Mio, with duel aspect terraces on either side, the studio also had a private bathroom and kitchenette. Property is very clean throughout and well maintained. The property is family owned, both Guido & Luigi were very attentive and helpful before & during our stay. Luigi provided breakfast for us every morning on our little terrace which consisted of cereals, croissants, cheese, Salami, fruit and coffee, great start to the day. Would highly recommend this property if you are looking for beautiful views not to far from the main square. The Villa is very quiet, as there are only 4 apartments which was perfect for us. There are a few steps so if you have mobility issues this may not be for you. Parking & the City Tax are not included in the room rate, so clarify these costs before you book so you don’t have any surprises when you check out. Parking is €20 per day and City Tax €6 per day. Also a mini bar is provided including bottled beer & snacks, but it is expensive, I would advise you buy these products locally in a supermarket, much better value for money.

This property is quite close to Minori port. There are regular ferries from Minori to Salerno, Sorrento, Amalfi, Positano & even Capri. We did not know about this connectivity & took a cab from Naples to get here. Instead, one can get off at Salerno & take a ferry right till Minori to get here. Though the route from port to hotel is a bit uphill. Minori as a town is much less crowded than Amalfi & quite laid back, the beach in particular is much better than Amalfi or Positano! So that's a plus. Every room has a big enough window with nice view of the sea. Rooms have broadly all required amenities (except an iron may be) & are cleaned daily. They serve breakfast daily which includes bread, jams, cereal, croissants, yogurt, juices & danish. We are vegetarians & they prepared a tasty item with zuicchini cheese on the first day. For the other 2 days, we were looking forward to something similar but it was missing. :( Overall, breakfast is quite good! The hostess is very polite & humble, she will help you plan your day & will check on you as well. We loved our overall stay & look forward to staying here again! A quick tip about commute - It takes 3 euros to get from Minori to Amalfi, 12 to get to Positano & 8 to Sorrento one way. Ferries operate at various time during the day & schedule can be found online at TravelMar Website or with the property. To get to Capri, you should book at least a day or two in advance. Round trip tour costs 35 euros Port to Port, leaves at 8:30 & 9:10 & return at 16:50 from Capri.

Before we arrived in Ravello, a restaurant owner from Pompeii told us "ah, Ravello is for lovers". Ravello is the most romantic place i've ever been to, and the stay at Nonno Francesco sure did help with my opinion of it. The place was extremely clean, welcoming, beautifully decorated, it has a very good location (it may seem like a long walk from the centre but trust me it's one of the most easy to reach locations stair-climbing-wise). The view from this location is just amazing and breathtaking, it was such a joy waking up to it. I absolutely loved staying there. I will cherish these memories forever and i look forward to coming back to Nonno Francesco in Ravello ❤️

Very affordable little place. Rooms are basic with a balcony, kitchenette, bathroom with washing and drying facilities and medium sized room with AC. Located in the centre of Ravello and easy walking distance to everything. We stayed for 2 nights as part of our wedding research. Would recommend to families and people traveling on a budget. Breakfast in the morning was simple but fresh and the coffee was good. Would stay again, as we are not people to stay in our room but squeeze as much travel of an area that we can. If you want somewhere to sleep and safely store your items this is it. Check in and Check out was easy, and they kept our luggage post check out until we were ready to leave.

Dotate in alcuni casi di un patio, le camere del Ravello In vantano un bagno privato, l'aria condizionata, un armadio, una scrivania e una TV a schermo piatto. The Ravello In is modern and clean. Amelia is the kindest person. She made us feel like old friends. She was a treasure and we are so glad to have met her. We drove into town last minute and she was so kind to accommodate us in the Sorrento Room. We had a view of the piazza and it was amazing! We had the windows open to enjoy the crisp, clean air and the joyful sounds of the square. At night, when we wanted a bit more quiet, we simply closed the windows and turned on the a/c. We could not hear a sound from the square with the windows closed. The bathroom was beautiful and had all the basic amenities one would need. The shower had a rain shower head and mood lighting that you could change the colors as if in a spa. Surely not a necessity, but we actually quite enjoyed it! If you visit Ravello, and I so hope that you do, please consider staying here. Amelia and her family have done such a wonderful job of maintaining and running this lovely hotel. You will not regret your stay! We will certainly return for another visit.
