There’s an Arabic inscription that captures the essence of Granada in a few words: “There is nothing so sad as to be blind in Granada.” The perspicacity of this declaration becomes obvious as soon as you penetrate the austere walls of the Alhambra and take in the full majesty of the architecture, carvings and fountains of the Nasrid palaces. Your ticket (which should be bought well in advance following the instructions on the attraction’s website) also affords entry to the Renaissance Palace of Carlos V and to the exquisite gardens of the Generalife. If you are celebrating a special event, or are in the market for a splurge, you can stay in the lovely Parador, right on site. Make your way down into the city via the atmospheric old quarter of the Albaicin, with its tiny craft shops and restaurants, and head for the Cathedral and Royal Chapel. Also plan a visit to the crypt for the tombs of Ferdinand and Isabella, the instigators of Spain’s imperial adventures to the New World and beyond. It’s worth making the short journey out of town to visit the Monasterio Cartuja, a fabulous Carthusian monastery in the baroque style. Admirers of the poet Lorca should make the effort to visit the Casa-Museo Federico Garcia Lorca in Fuente Vaqueros, about 11 miles from the city centre.

Italian style palace of the nineteenth century, Artistic historical monument, with gardens of S. XVIII and XIX century. Pool, free parking, free wifi, magnificent restaurant.
5 night stay with husband could not have been more chilled . All staff were very helpful and welcoming and we had a couple of meals cooked by the French chef which were tasty and very reasonably priced and enjoyed breakfast on the front terrace. As there are only a handful of rooms at times we really felt we had the house to ourselves and we were the only guests using the pool during our stay which was clean and had comfortable loungers. We enjoyed sitting in the terrace during the evening and wandering through the huge glorious gardens. We stayed in the Havana suite with its panoramic sea and garden views from all of its 4 huge windows, woken by birdsong each morning. Highly recommended!

The location was perfect. But the room was terrible. First the bed was too small and uncomfortable. The pillow was small and uncomfortable and the bed cousion was bad. And the sharp steel structure of the bed was esposed without ceiling at the head side, so it was so dangerous. The shower towel was terrible too. First day when I checked in, it was soso, but next day, they gave me horrible shower towel. The fabric was so worn out that it was so thin and you almost could see a hole in it.

La Posada is a place designed for the traveler leisure. The tranquility in each of its corners make you unwind and relax while you enjoy your stay in Granada. It has five rooms, all exclusively handcrafted and created.
This small hotel is high up in the Albaicin in a tiny side street. Taxis will drop you off at the end of the street and it a hairy experience as they navigate the tiny streets and tight corners! It has a lovely patio where a complimentary typically Spanish breakfast is served each morning. We had a room with a small shared patio from which there was a view if you stood of the Alhambra and the distant Sierra Nevada. The main patio serving all the rooms was lovely and a peaceful place to sit with many flowering shrubs. Our room was small but beautifully furnished and very quiet to sleep. The owner Ainhoa was fabulous and with Carmen, gave a very personal service; I was recovering from a broken ankle and the steep cobbled streets were not easy for me (note for anyone with mobility issues). Ainhoa recommended nearby fabulous restaurants and how we should see Granada in my circumstances and called us taxis which were so cheap and quick to come. I thoroughly recommend this as somewhere to stay.

This pension is directly across the street from Plaza Nueva, walking distance from anything you would want to do in the area. We had the corner room with private bath. Excellent view of the plaza and relatively well-insulated from the noise. Pedro, the new owner, was on site every day. He’s very engaging and is a font of information about things to do there. We purchased tickets to a wonderful flamenco show through him. When he heard we are considering moving to the Realejo neighborhood, he even provided us with a walking tour of the barrio. A well-run pension in the heart of Granada.

Elevation, in Pinos Genil, bordering the Sierra Nevada Natural Park, which will come from the ski resort of Sierra Nevada in just 15 minutes, Granada capital is at 15 minutes and 12 minutes from the Alhambra. It surrounds a landscape where nature shows its splendor, the light is always present in the south and the sunsets are unforgettable. We offer the services of a small boutique hotel, swimming pool, private parking, garden with grass, heating, air conditioning in the rooms and common areas, daily cleaning bedrooms, living room with fireplace, dining room where you can enjoy breakfast with products from the area, menu Daily traditional cuisine and dinner (also elaborate cuisine without gluten). We have a Summer Terrace with a view to Grenada, to dine at the Steak Brasa, have a drink ..
We stayed at Finca Aldabra for a week, mainly for the skiing at Sierra Nevada. The ski resort is 20 minutes away but accommodation in the resort is much more expensive and hotels/apartments with parking are difficult to find. Beds were really comfortable and the bedrooms are nicely decorated. Everything was clean. Great breakfast for only few euros and you can help yourself to tea and coffee all day. Rooms have fridges, which was also useful. Inma is a very friendly and welcoming host. Checkout is 12 but we were even allowed to use one of our rooms all afternoon on our last day at no extra cost (we weren't travelling until the evening). One possible problem is that the walls between rooms are quite thin (at least where we were) so if you have noisy neighbours having a shower at 5:45am it's a bit annoying! Luckily that was only once. Overall this is a great value place to stay and we'd be happy to come back.

The location of this pension down the road from the Alhambra can't be beat. The photos provided by the pension show the great views of Granada from the rooftop terrace. The staff is lovely and the food and drink are great in the bar and cafe next door.

Hostal Costa Azul is a 19th century building, totally refurbished in 2009, respecting the taste of the old and modern at the same time, functional and in the heart of the most desired city of the world GRANADA .... It has 4 floors, without elevator, because its wonderful railing, is a work of art from the ground floor to the fourth, made in one piece. Adapted for people without mobility, all rooms are equipped with bathroom, air conditioning, heating, TV, Wi-Fi, desk, hair dryer, safe and some of them terrace, although all are exterior with window or balcony. We enjoy a nice inner courtyard, where to rest when you come to visit the city. We can manage the reservation of Alhambra or any other monument, restaurant, museum, flamenco, hamman or whatever you need. We have parking spaces at 18 € per night and car. We are very close to the hostel, a tavern, run by the youngest of the hotel saga, specializing in Spanish wines and good home-cooked meals. WE WAIT FOR YOU !!!!
Both of our beds were very uncomfortable. The blankets were old and nasty. In our room was an old shabby couch - the owners should better throw it out! The heating did not work at night so we were freezing. The room was clean and the bathroom rather new. However we did not feel comfortable at all and had backaches sothat we decided to leave after the first night although we had already paid for the next night and could nit get a refund.
