We stayed in Villa Romeo for 4 nights whilst visiting family in Brzeg. The room was large and comfortable - the decor was a bit tired, and the bathroom was on the small size with a weak shower but overall pleasant and the large bed give us a great nights sleep The breakfast staff were so friendly and would make up any hot eggs or sausage as desired - the kielbasa was delicious. The gentleman on breakfast was so friendly and a credit to the hotel. A special mention is deserved. One main drawback was the owner? (In the red trousers) smoking in reception (and we saw someone else smoking at the door of the kitchen). The whole hotel stank of cigarette smoke which in 2018 shouldn’t have to be flagged up or tolerated. It would be simpler just to take the fags outside. We’ve stayed in 3 hotels in Brzeg and we would stay again but might not be our first choice. You can’t argue with the price though.

Hotel Aspen is near PL-CZ border in land of nobody. Clean, modern, well maintained. People in hotel are kind and helpfull. Nic outdoor places with a lot of sitting possibilities (chairs, sofas, hammocks...). Large parking lot. I really cannot say anything bad. Breakfast is not included in price and you should try them, they are yummy. Spa and whirpool is free of charge and the same is (if I remember correctly) for gym (some treadmills, excercise bikes, dumbbells etc.). The only drawback is that you cannot see much in this area, but you should definitely go cross the border to Zlate Hory (Jeseniky) where there is a lot of tourist attractions (old gold mine and village with working water mills, some lakes, castle ruins, observation tower etc.).

It’s a nice, small Hotel, with a good restaurant, tasty ice creams and reasonable European prices. I’ve got an apartment instead of normal room. Internet connection it’s very good. Breakfast not amazing but for dinner I’ve got excellent steak (for fair price). Probably in a near are would be difficult to find better place.

All together, during my business trips I have spent almost a year in this hotel. I can compare it with many higher class hotels, but still this is one of my favorites or maybe the favorite due to its friendly atmosphere. Norbert does an excellent job in the kitchen. I have tried the full menu in that long time and the food was always perfect! A cold Polish beer in the massage chair is a perfect cooling down activity after a busy day! :) Keep this small hotel in this good shape!

I was extremely astonished how good the service was. I was late to check-in before 22.00 (yes - this is a negative point that you should check-in before this time, otherwise you will have to find another place to sleep), but they perfectly organised my late arrival by phone and booking.com messenger. The key was "delivered" to me and a set of hints, what I should do if I want to check-out early as well. The room was very nice and clean. Bathroom - nothing bad to say. TV with a range of channels. Nice breakfast. Only the location not so nice. Well, this place has been created to organise weddings including overnight stay. And their location is perfect from this point of veiw (in fron of a church, in the outskirts of the city). But for tourists and transit travellers - location of Arkadia can be a challenge.

rooms are clean, staff is very helpful about everything. and the building is historical and well decorated. but... there is a bowling hall at the basement floor. and the building is made of stone like in the medieval age. so, the whole noise of the balls rolling on the floor is in your room completely. when we askedthey said hall will be closed at 10:00 pm but in our stay for 6 days, people kept playing bowling until 00:00 at the midnight. it was impossible to sleep because it feels like floor is shaking. so, if you want a silent hotel to sleep, this is absolutely not what you are looking for.

The region around Otmuchow only has a limited number of hotels, and we were lucky to have come across the unique and very historic Zamek Otmuchow hotel. Located on a hill overlooking the charming town of Otmuchow, the castle dates back to the 12(!)th century. Check in was friendly and the apartment room on the first floor very spacious. The single room on the second floor was much smaller, but very clean with a comfortable bed and small bathroom with good shower. That being said, this hotel has a bit of a hostel feel to it as the accommodations are fairly basic, which is reflected in the price. So, if you are looking for all the creature comforts of a 4 or 5 star hotel, this place would not be the right fit for you. Still, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, which even included a free breakfast. Furthermore, dinner at the castle restaurant was delicious with wonderful service. The chicken gyros salad was fantastic!

This Hotel is very nice inside with a lounge (leather) sitting area. Very roomy. The best was at dinner time. WOW. Never had salmon that tasted that good. Go for the Captain-style grilled Salmon. The Karlik frying Pan was an experience. So much food and very reasonably priced. The 'Traditional Silesian Soup with egg' was very good. Wish we had better weather to enjoy the outside area. Looked very nice from our room. The room was nice but the beds were apart. However, they moved them together the next day. Hotel room price great.
