A very good property
Reviewed By kalasubramanyamI stayed here with my children for two days to attend family wedding. It’s just behind Mayuranathar temple and you can see the temple Gopuram from the room. It’s very spacious and well maintained. The owner and care taker are very good in taking care of the guests.The property is well furnished and it’s good for family stay. All the important junctions and roads are very near. We enjoyed our stay.

Nice place ruined by poor management
Reviewed By vaideshWe 5 adults along with 2 children (2 double room) stayed at this property on 1st to 2nd April. Receptionist staffs , room service and restaurant staffs were all good and served us well. The bad experience was 1. They have weird policy of issuing coupons (100off) per room . That has to be presented during breakfast , but we missed to do that and wasn’t told that it can’t be reimbursed during checkout .. I forgot to present that coupon during breakfast and when I asked some staff they told it can be presented during checkout .. During checkout they denied to deduct it and the staff named Rajan or someone told in a very harsh tone that it’s customer’s mistake of not reading the terms and conditions printed on the backside of a small piece paper called as breakfast coupon . I have been to multiple resorts and hotels even a small lodges will have some level of courtesy towards the customer but this in particular simply blames on the management saying they have to obey the management !! This is my first stay in sadhabhishegam but this person in particular made it worst !! another worst part is their lunch availability is minimal so be prepared to plan ur lunch or you will have to wait for long hours They don’t have coffee or tea available in the early morning , it will be available only after 6 am Rooms are not maintained well it’s looks old and stinking ., but washrooms are clean !! Nice property but poor maintenance !! It will be worth the money (as it is 2300 per room) if they manage and maintain well

LEON will take care of travel arrangements I.e. the pick up from Thanjavur, Mailadhuturai/ stay at the hotel / arrangement @faster, mass timings and also drop facility. One can book in advance without prepayment. A good facility. My special room no. 101 is well recognized by staffs. I m a regular visitor to VELANKANNI and DRAVIDAR. My best wishes to LEON, may mother mary continue to blessed him and all of us

Hotel was good and perfect
Reviewed By pradap98Without doubt one of the favorite hotels I stayed during my time in temple visit! Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the staff. The staff was extremely friendly, the restaurant very flexible (appreciate this!) and the restaurant supervisor deserves a special thanks. We had two great evenings here, which obviously also added up to the experience. Hotel food was very good, the workers was good in work and they are very kind, the staff was kind and very good in their work, the hotel was clean and clear, no doubt that the hotel deserves 5 stars, only problem is not having parking for big vehicles. Note, this is not a 4/5-star hotel or so, but the atmosphere is so special that it really felt like home to me. All respect for the staffs who does a great job here; a true sample of excellent hospitality!

Temple trip - stay at ADP Cottage with family (very good place to stay in budget)
Reviewed By arulmurugan_dsI have visited Kumbakonam navagraha temples during Dec 21 and stayed in ADP Cottage along with family. It is very nice place to stay. The room was clean and it is very near to one temple and temple pond. You have to walk 10 mins for food (nearby hotel). The incharge is very kind person and helped a lot. There is no lift and they won't provide towels and food. So please plan your trip accordingly. Overall very good place to stay.

Budget Hotel - and one of the two options at Tranquebar
Reviewed By Sachin PI wanted to visit the Tranquebar/Tarangambadi Danish fort and this led to me looking for accommodation at Tranquebar/Tarangambadi area itself. Only two options was available. One was the ultra uxorious Bungalow on the beach, and the other was Nippon Hotel. For the time I was to spend at Tranquebar - less than 24 hours; the Bungalow was not an option at all. Nippon Hotel is located on the highway from Karaikkal towards Sirkazhi and Chidambaram. The hotel and its amenities needs to be evaluated considering the surrounding area. Tranquebar/Tarangambadi even today is a one street town, and the tourist attractions have not changed the rural/village settings in the area. For a normal traveller on the road this village would get easily forgotten as one of the small villages on the road side. Nippon Hotel is a budget hotel and can be considered slightly better than the "lodge" found in Indian towns. The room I was allotted had items for bare minimum comfort. Two beds joined to form one bigger bed, an LCD TV mounted onto the wall & a working intercom. There was a small shelf embedded into the wall, and had wooden doors. A plastic chair and a small table (teapoy) completed the furniture. The TV channels were Tamil only. The bath room & toilet was clean, but the wash basin placed on a corner of the main room had a leaky tap. Wi-Fi services was not provided, but my AirTel 4G dongle was fast enough for use. The hotel does NOT have a restaurant in-house. Food orders needs to be placed with the reception or the room boy. The food options are limited considering that Tranquebar/Tarangambadi has only one restaurant (and not a very fancy one), and the hotel staff have to go here and get the food. The food quality was good; it was simple and tasted good (and better than those served by more popular bigger restaurants). The staff at Nippon Hotel was helpful and they handled multiple food orders from me quickly. At the time of check in I was not provided with towel & toiletries, so checked with the staff on whether this was not provided. They do provide these items and quickly provided me the same as well. Nippon Hotel is just a kilometre away from the main attractions i.e Danish Fort, the beach, and Danish houses on King's street. Staying at Nippon Hotel means that more time can be spent relaxing at an Indian village moving at a slow place and also enjoying the historical monuments. With only a short distance to travel, I was able to spend a good amount of time at the Danish Fort in the evening as well as at sun rise time. Nippon Hotel has a good parking area and for people driving down to Tranquebar/Tarangambadi this would be an advantage. Please note that the hotel does NOT accept any form of card or online payment.
