Cerro Lobo is a 2 acre property, located by de E15 Hwy. Probably the best beach area on the Ecuadorian Pacific coast line, we are on a rain forest hill and close to the beach. We have 4 bungalows (units) With a pool and a rest/bar on the common area. All units are separate enough to guarantee full privacy. Perfect for relax and enjoy nature. Great for Friends, Family and Couples (Honeymooners). The bungalows: The house is the perfect choice for a family of 4 or 5, it has a bbq area, a open deck with a perfect view to enjoy with family or friends. The Lofts, the Rooftop and the Cabaña are designed for couples, with the perfect view making the room a romantic space.

We have two freshly redecorated private double rooms, a lovely dormitory for four people and a beautiful apartment based dormitory for rent.

Unfortunately the power in the town was out when we arrived so check in was late but they allowed us to enjoy the property and use common bathrooms until our bungalow was ready. Breakfast is included in the stay. The bungalow we stayed in was labeled "seaside" which lead us to believe you could see the ocean...not the case. It wasn't a far walk across the property but I definitely wouldnt have classified it as seaside. Very close to Downtown Montanita so you can walk there and back either along the street or along the beach.

Reviewed By D7072QDthierrylMe and my girlfriend just stayed there for 8 days. This place is exactly what we needed. It is right in front of the ocean and close to the action, but super quiet. The room (cielo) that we had had an amazing view and the sound of the waves was very calming. During the day we worked in their restaurant / chilling area and I rarely got so much work done. The internet is fast and reliable and covers the whole hostal. The staff is really great too. We'll come back next year for sure.

Our luck on this trip wasn’t the best and we also ended up misplacing our rental car key. She was right there to help again. We had an amazing time because our stress level went down to zero because of the great service. The facility was beautiful. Thanks for everything

Reviewed By Idea MI booked the big room with an ocean and mountain view. When I arrived, I was given a dark little room with small window overlooking a very fabulous wall LOL. And I was told that there are no rooms with ocean view. NONE. The so called swimming pool is just huge bathtub. No adult could make even one lap there. Might be good for kids, if and when it is cleaned, But it did not look clean either. Sorry, guys, but it is a dumpy place which is advertised as something else altogether. I would not stay there if YOU paid me to stay there. But thank you , very truly, for not charging me for refusing to stay there. And for being very nice about it.

Reviewed By Network EBe very careful when checking in this place. First of all they only accept cash, secondly they DO NOT have a machine or marker to check $100 bills. I checked in this hostal a few weeks ago, about 11:30 PM or so; my friends and i were going to play with a credit card, but because this place do not accept that, we had to pay with cash. Our bill was around $85 dollars or so, consequently we paid with a new $100 dollar bill, the ones that have the blue line the new ones; the receptionist took the bill and he didn't check it or anything, he just put the bill in a drawer near him and gave us back the change. For us his attitude was very strange but we didn't say anything at that time, since he was kind of friendly. All was good so far. After 2 or so hours this same receptionist came to the club where we were having a blast with my friends and told us that the $100 bill that we gave him was fake!!! AFTER 2 FREAKING HOURS!!!! We pretty much had to go back to the hostal and see what he was taking about. He then showed us an old version of a $100 dollar bill, which he was saying that it was the only one that he had before closing his shift. To make this story short, The police came after a few minutes and we had to go to see the judge the next day to solved problem. At the end i had to give this guy the receptionist $30 dollars more, because he kept his story saying that the bill we gave him was FAKE!!!!!. Everyone, be careful on this place, the people that work there are very shady.

Paola was our welcoming hostess and we all loved and appreciated her accommodating us so well and making us feel so welcome! It is a well designed place and we were glad it was chosen for us to stay there. Thank you to all!

Hostel in La Rinconada, Ecuador. 18km from Montañita... La Rinco!This beautiful place, on a cliff looking to the sea, has everything you need to stay for a peacefully holidays. If you want to party, you have it at Montanita which is really close. The hostel is run by its owners, who will help you with everything you need.

Reviewed By Gregor KWe stayed 3 nights in the 2 bedroom - Ricardo was super friendly and took care of us whenever we needed help. The views are amazing, the room was clean and the breakfast was good. The only thing which could be improved is the Wi-Fi which did not work in our room. Also there is no A/C in the rooms, just a fan. When you go to la Rinco be prepared to enter a rocky road (its located at the end of a hill). Overall a highly recommended place!

We offer total relaxation in Montanita Sumpa HOTEL is 2 blocks from the town center and 60 meters from the beach near the town and far enough away from the night noise. Sumpa Hotel is located on the same main road past the river bridge Montanita all buses or taxis will stop at the foot of the hotel (avoiding walks and intermediaries)

Reviewed By Tim MI was just in Montañita for a long weekend to surf. I arrived on Friday around lunch time and as soon as I got there they fixed me a Peruvian Ceviche for lunch and it was just as good or better than many ceviches that I've had in Peru. The room had a comfortable bed with A/C, hot water, and a hammock on the porch. The staff were great, the owner also surfs and took me to all of the best local spots to surf. Montañita is a wild party town with a lot of noise so the location was perfect because it was less than a 5 minute walk from town and just far enough away that I didn't hear the noise from the clubs at night. I will definitely be back.
