As the first place in Spain to see the sunrise, Minorca is like the country’s ambassador to the morning. Beaches here are beautiful and, surprisingly, relatively empty. The jewel-colored water is a magnet for waterskiers, windsurfers and sailors. Playa De Binigaus beach is perfect for families, while Cala Mitjana is an idyllic spot for romance. Head to the town of Alaoir to nibble on some fresh local cheese or turn back time in the charming fishing village of Fornells.

We just finished a 4 night stay at Casa Ladico and could not be happier with our experience. The hotel was beautiful (and clean) and our room, with a terrace was lovely. The hospitality was fantastic, we felt totally looked and the breakfast was amazing, totally recommend including it. The location was ideal, right in the centre of Mao, near all the bars, shops and restaurants. Highly recommend!

Can Sastre is a boutique hotel located in the old town od Ciutadella, a few meters from the cathedral and the old port. The building, originally from the s.XVII, was a familybakery known as "the nameless" and famous for it's Menprcan sweets. In June 2018 the Can Sastre Boutique hotel opens its doors in the building that has been restored with the memories of what it was. We have 12 double and preferent rooms and 1 attic room with terrace in the highest floor. The living room welcomes us with its fireplace and creates the perfect place to relax and have a glass of wine or aperitif. Every morning you can enjoy a homemade breakfast where you can taste the local Menorcan product and its specialties.
Beautiful boutique hotel. Very clean, good rooms, friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast and well situated. Excellent for a short break - secure car park about 10 minutes walk from hotel. Don't try to drive to the hotel - streets are very narrow and there is a complex one way system! Hotel will send you Google maps link plus code for the car park.

Síndic Hotel is a charming hotel situated on Mahon Historic Center (Menorca) on Street San Roque, exclusive setting of the San Roque Portal, last visible remains of the wall, commanded to be constructed by Peter IV in 1359 bordering with the ancient medieval wall, assets declared as Cultural Interest Goods(CIG),Our guests may enjoy this piece of history on the surroundings of the Hotel bar-café. Our charming hotel has 8 unique rooms, roof terrace( "El Ático") with an exterior 2.5 x 4meters inox-spa, views to Mahon historic center and to Mahon Harbour, reception service, concierge, breakfast and “Honesty Bar”.
We stayed 4 nights. The boutique hotel is in the best location. In the very center of the historic capital of Mahon. It is new, modern and elegant but has kept parts of the old historic wall. It only has 8 rooms. We booked one with a lovely open air terrace. The room was comfortable with all the necessary amenities including, safety deposit box, a large double shower, bottled water, coffee/tea making facilities, a small fridge, slippers and more. There is a small rooftop pool, which we did not use, as it was still cool outside. They also have ice, an honesty bar and complimentary nuts. The breakfast was excellent with juices, coffee made to order, breads, jams, homemade cakes, boiled eggs, delicious local cheeses and hams, salami, fruits, yogurt, and more. The owner, Gracia, is friendly, serviceable and goes out of her way to help and make your stay a memorable one. The same goes for sweet Noemi and Adrian. They provide information, maps, book taxis, etc. Personalized care is given to you at all times. The hotel is a special place to stay and I can not recommend it enough.

Located in the heart of the historic centre of the city of Mahon, on the island of Menorca, Can Alberti is a large and luxurious residence built by the Alberti family in 1740. Part of the historical and cultural heritage of the city, this place, which illustrates the architecture of the Enlightenment of Mahon in the British period, has experienced an intense artistic life under the impulse of different members of the Alberti family. The boutique hotel has recently been completely refurbished and now houses 15 rooms that combine a refined and elegant Menorcan style with the most modern comforts. Numerous artistic and cultural activities are held here on a regular basis. Can Alberti is above all a place where you feel at home in a comfortable and quiet house with thick walls and harmonious decoration. A place of inspiration, relaxation and tranquillity. But it is also a unique starting point to visit the city of Mahon and beyond to discover the island of Menorca classified as Biosphere by UNESCO with its wild and preserved nature, its historical heritage and its secluded beaches with crystal clear waters.
We found this charming little hotel completely by chance, and how happy we were that we did. We were greeted warmly by Sonya who looked after our needs for the eight days that we stayed there. We had a delightful room at the rear of the hotel, overlooking the little breakfast terrace. This meant it was very quiet indeed. In addition, we had our own little terrace up some stairs - just magical! Whilst we were at the hotel, they were hosting an art installation, which meant that there was beautiful art work everywhere - it was like staying in a private art gallery, so lovely. The building itself is just stunning, so tastefully renovated. And if you climb the stairs you are rewarded by a private sun-trap roof terrace with glorious views. The breakfast is also delightful, taken on a charming terrace. Yogurt, fruit, freshly prepared eggs and meats and cheeses. And occasionally a fresh ensemada yummy! The position of the Can Alberti is unrivalled, so close to the centre of Mahon, restaurants, cafes, etc. The service, facilities and cleanliness was first class. We cannot recommend it more highly. This is our hotel in Mahon now, we won’t stay anywhere else. Greetings to all at the Can Alberti, we will see you again in the spring next year.

The Boutique Hotel Sant Roc & Spa is located right in the heart of the historic city centre of Mahón in one of the city’s oldest streets between two important historic buildings buildings Pont de Sant Roc and Saint Mary’s Church.Located just a few metres from the Main Theatre, the well-known Mercat des Peix and the loveliest commercial area in the city. Our Boutique Hotel is situated in two emblematic late 18th century manor houses, which have been exquisitely reformed and adapted to feature the most demanding comforts. The privileged hotel location is no doubt one of its greatest attractions. We are just a few minutes on foot from the famous Mahón Port, which offers a wide range of culinary, marine sport and leisure options not to mention it’s one of the largest natural ports in the world.
We stayed here for 2 nights on a short trip to Menorca. We booked the parking which was perfectly located in the town centre, we could unload the car in front of the hotel and then it was a 3 minute walk from the parking to the hotel. The rooms are beautiful decorated, with very comfortable bed. The breakfast was served a little differently due to COVID measures in place, but it was delicious and plentiful. The only negative would be the lack of toothbrushes available, in a boutique hotel it’s pretty much a standard. Which we were a little annoyed about. As well as the spa being closed, as our local agents hadn’t informed us and we were very much looking forward to it. Nonetheless, we had a fantastic stay and highly recommend for those wanting to explore and enjoy Mahon.

Matxani Gran is a typical Menorcan country house converted into one of the first agrotourisms of the island. Since 2010, Yola and Llorenç bring more and more Matxani to our dream. Our secret ingredients are the love for the traditional, time and much, much affection in everything that we do. In Matxani Gran 10 of the 12 rooms of Gran are distributed on the ground floor, where once lived the peasants, and the other is in the old coach of the trap at the entrance of the forest and two Suite on the top floor. Included Services: Private bathroom, plasma TV, main beds of 180, air conditioning, heating, Wi-Fi and strong box. Also gives access to the kitchen, barbeque, continental breakfasts (included) pool table and an outdoor pool. All guests have free parking at Matxani. Kitchen, Barbecue and Breakfast Matxani Gran offers a full continental breakfast and home cooking once a week. Guests can also access the kitchen as well as the bar and the barbecue area and a self-service bar
Beautiful hacienda with all needed facilities, very cute animals all around and an amazing personal service from the owners, who went out of their way to make our stay overly easy. Very practical to reach south & east costs spots and the airport. Definitely recommend.

I spent 2 weeks there in November. The hotel is beautifully located on the edge of the old town. It is in a quiet and very safe street. There are lots of restaurants and cafes nearby and a good supermarket extremely close. The room was clean and very comfortable. The staff were very kind and helpful. Thanks to them for making what could have been a difficult time ( due to extraneous circumstances) much easier. I was originally planning to move on after a couple of days but it was so comfortable I didn’t.

Alcaufar Vell is situated within one of the most beautiful and tranquil natural reserves in south-east Minorca, surrounded by lovely beaches with clear waters and fine sand, it also has a leafy, wooded ravine, an ancient watchtower looking out over the Mediterranean, a kilometer of virgin coastline, and almost 250 acres of land for long walks. It has an enjoyable, friendly and family atmosphere with the comfort and independence of guests given maximum priority.
The old house full of history, the surroundings, the peace & quietness, Rosa's kindness... luckily they all remain the same. On this occasion I had the chance to stay in one of the unique Suites in the main building. It has a private viewpoint from which you can enjoy the incredible landscape around Alcaufar, the sea of the south coast of the island and looking towards the north you can even sense MonteToro, the highest mountain in Menorca. You could feel what our ancestors might have felt when they sheltered in this tower and watched if any enemies were invading the island. This is what I call a real privileged experience! I had dinner in the restaurant and both the food and the service were amazing. Nashua & Aina, the two kind waitresses looked after us in a discreet and very professional way. The menu offers a wide range of appealing suggestions for any palate. I eat no meat and I did not know what to choose from, I felt like trying so many different dishes! Those that I tried were finely presented. The wines proposed are well selected local and Spanish references, you will enjoy any of them. Breakfast served in the patio is a luxury treat on a sunny spring day, of course thanks to the setting but also thanks to Noemi. Thank you AlcaufarVell for an unforgettable 16 hours relaxing escape!

The Hostal Residencia Menurka is situated in a peaceful area of Ciutadella, a few metres from the Plaza Alfons III, known by the residents as the Plaza "Ses Palmeres", located on the point where one of the principal gates that gave access to the walled city was situated (the meaning of Ciutadella or Ciudadela is "walled city"). With its pleasant family atmosphere and 21 comfortable rooms, the Hostal Residencia Menurka is the ideal starting point for those travellers who want to discover Minorca their way.
I was traveling alone and stayed in the accommodation for a week. The room was cleaned every single day and towels were also changed every day. The location is near the city center, it is great starting point for walking. Staff is very friendly and nice, most speak English very good. All have great knowledge to advise about daily trips, bus rides, rent-a-car, good food,... Breakfast is yummy and I recommend it. They offer fresh fruit, yoghurt, coffee, bread, cheese,... There is a lovely roof terrace where you can sit and have a fantastic view over the city and sunset. I 100% recommend this stay.

First the positives. The hotel is modern and is really tasteful, everything is spotless and a great location to get to Mahon. The road outside has a dedicated running/cycle lane going north and south and this was nice for an early morning run. The staff are incredibly kind and are more than happy to give tips and advice. The pool is also great. So in terms of facilities and room it's 6 out of 5. I take away 2 stars because of the kitchen: Breakfast is plentiful but you get what you get. They dont even offer eggs which is quite a standard expectation. The dining room gets very hectic and the waiter goes under water (not his fault, too much work for one person). No matter what time we arrived, every morning was busy and well he was in a whirlwind and the food was always cold or like it had been laying on a plate for too long. Dinner was not much better and we only ate here once and decided not to repeat. The desert was great but the starter and main were both served cold and well generally I felt the food wasn't receiving too much love, hardly any seasoning etc. Considering the prices, it should have been much much better. Other guests seem to rave about the kitchen so perhaps the chef was having a bad few days or we were just unlucky but for this reason and despite the many positives, I would not stay here again.
