Manor Farm B&B offers award-winning accommodation in an attractive Grade II Listed village farmhouse with comfortable and spacious rooms on a working arable farm. Sumptuous traditional, vegetarian, gluten-free and special diet breakfasts. Excellent evening meals available within easy walking distance. Well situated for exploring Wiltshire's ancient places. Half way between Stonehenge and Avebury. Close to Savernake Forest, Salisbury Plain, Wilton Windmill and the Kennet & Avon Canal. Superb walking and cycling from our doorstep.
We stayed here as a party of five for two nights for a nearby family wedding. Sarah, the owner, could genuinely not have been helpful and accommodating throughout our stay. The accommodation is a really wonderful manor farm house with modern conveniences and spotlessly clean throughout, and Sarah's breakfasts were amazing. How she managed to cope with the variety of requests was incredible to say the very least. This really is an exceptional authentic bed and breakfast, and I have no hesitation in highly recommending it.

Dating from the 15th century,The Bear is an authentic addition to a historic market town. On the River Kennet, Marlborough is home to one of the widest high streets in Britain, offering a cast space for regular markets which still occur to this date. Traditional elements of the hotel create a homely atmosphere. The recently refurbished bedrooms are in keeping with the hotels history but with additional modern comforts. The bar area has also been refurbished and offers a traditional English menu accompanied by real ales, premium lagers and fine wines, perfect after a busy day exploring the area. Food served 11am - 8pm Monday to Saturday Sunday Service from 11am - 4pm
We visited the pub side of the hotel and had lunch. Lunch was presented with 2 different menus, 2 mains for 20 or another offering 2 or 3 course for 10 or 12 quid. Great bargain for the menu. We had boquorones (whitebait), fish and chips and a no bull burger. All for 20 quid. Of course the portion sizes were smaller except for the vegan chocolate cake but what do you expect for the price. On the good side the chef and server know good food and it was good hence a 4*. Fully recommended for a quick lunch. #garysyribe #localguides #foodblogger #travelblogger #letsguide #vegan #marlborough

The 18th century Barleycorn Inn is nestled in the charming Wiltshire village of Collingbourne Kingston . We enjoyed a very comfortable stay here. The room itself is very stylish and extravagant. The room had everything you could possibly need, including very nice toiletries and generous selection of teas and coffee including an nespresso machine. The continental breakfast was also very good.

The Marlborough will quickly become Marlborough’s premier dining and drinking establishment.Taking residence in one of Marlborough’s oldest buildings we intend to restore this grade II listed building it to its full former glory.
We stayed in The Library Suite…..not a suite, but there was a seating area just outside our room! Room is at the front of the establishment but not too noisy to sleep. Large, comfy bed. Good coffee machine, beverages and snacks. A good bathroom with an excellent, power shower. Old building, so wobbly floors add to the ambiance. We had an excellent evening meal…..man went for fillet steak that was superb. We ate outside, great atmosphere and service. Breakfast is served over a good amount of time and again was excellent…..Would return and recommend!

The Merlin is situated in the middle of Marlborough's famous High Street, reputed to be the widest in England, in one of the most attractive and historic buildings in Marlborough. With ten stylish rooms, all at reasonable rates, the Merlin is the ideal place to stay to savour the atmosphere of the bustling market town of Marlborough and its renowned shops and restaurants. Everywhere in Marlborough can be accessed on foot from the Merlin and many world-famous heritage sites such as Avebury and Silbury Hill are just a short drive away. The Merlin has been a family-run establishment for over 30 years and is not only highly convenient for touring all the local sites in and around Marlborough or just enjoying the cosmopolitan atmosphere of Marlborough, but the Merlin is also steeped in history itself. The historic Georgian building boasts a listed 17th Century staircase which is believed to be the oldest in Marlborough. And the Merlin appropriately takes its name from a local legend - the belief that the sorcerer Merlin, adviser to King Arthur, is buried at a site known as Merlin's Mound in Marlborough. The Merlin was recently awarded an impressive Four Star rating by Visit Britain, formerly the English Tourist Board.
Stayed at the Merlin a couple of times now and really pleased with it. Bang in the middle of town on the main high street so all the shops and pubs etc are minutes away. Will definitely use the Merlin again whenever I need to stop over in the area with work. Thanks Nick ?

Very old, quaint coaching inn. Does what it says on the tin! Pleasant, clean accommodation (we stayed in main building). Beds suuuuper comfy & rooms snug & warm. Beds made every day & tea & coffee etc replenished. Landlord & landlady & staff very friendly. Lovely full English Breakfast + toast & marmalade, orange juice & tea/coffee was great. Pub incredibly busy & can be bit noisy at night, but hey..people enjoying themselves! Parking a bit random on street where you can fit in. Didn’t eat evening/lunch here, so can’t comment. Lots of nearby local eateries (everywhere really busy, so you did need to book). Avebury nearby is awesome. Well worth seeing.

The team at Crown & Anchor at Ham look forward to welcoming you — and your dog!
We came to the area to visit family and booked in for one night, expecting only a place to sleep. We were totally wowed with the room - every single aspect of the design was so beautiful and so many special unique details. The quality of everything is exceptional. The room was spotless, the bathroom huge and the shower had incredible pressure. The bed and pillows were super comfortable and the linens were lovely. In the morning we had the breakfast which was included which was totally delicious. We also had a 3 course lunch with our family the day before and the food was really top notch. The service was fantastic. We had very friendly young waitstaff who were attentive and helpful. Overall a fab experience and we look forward to our next visit!
