Two thousand years of history have lent Mainz a cosmopolitan air, and museums and cathedrals of various architectural styles dot the city. Bring home a book as a souvenir—Gutenberg worked here, and the museum dedicated to him is a highlight.

We stayed here during a business trip and while the hotel is in an ideal location close to the train station, the surroundings do not look good and one of the access from the station is via a dark underpass. The staff was friendly and the room spacious enough with a double bed plus a bunk bad and it was clean but very very dusty. Moreover the bed linen were also full of holes and saw better times. The room was quite expensive considering what i found once there.

I stayed there for a dozen of nights, in the context of a long business trip to Mainz. The hotel is very well located, at a walking distance of the train station (less than 3-4 minutes) and the old town (about 15 minutes). On arrival, the staff welcomed me very warmly. The personal was very helpful, always smiling and friendly. They communicated by e-mail a lot with me, which allowed me to plan everything and have a smooth arrival. The room was comfortable, clean, and actually large (with its small kitchenette). It was appropriately furnished, with a large-enough cupboard and some storage space. The working corner (i.e. a desk and a chair) was perfect, and the wifi connection was quite good and fast. I however stayed there during a period of hot weather, and the nights were really a problem: I had the choice between suffering from the noise or from the heat. Indeed, once the window is open, one immediately notices that the neighbourhood is quite lively all night long. With the window closed, it is better, as the external noise is tamed (although we still hear a bit what is going on). The temperature in the room however rises quickly. Finally, the breakfast was standard: bread with cheese and ham, cereals, yoghourts, coffee and juices. Overall, I would recommend the place, although I will probably be tempted by trying something else during my next visit. We will see...

Worst place to stay, do not go here. Way to expensive for what they are trying to offer, it smells like something I really can’t write down. It is in the middle of a industrial area, your neighbor is a cement factory.

In a charming neighbourhood of Mainz, this hotel is off the beaten track with a nearby forest and green corners to explore nearby and a lovely shopping area, yet also conveniently linked to the city centre. The rooms are well equipped and comfortable, and the breakfast, in a lovely old room, provides a good start to the day. The staff are very welcoming.

It is a clean, well organised place at a good price suitable for a night or possibly two; any longer the lack of comfort frills would begin to surface. It is located away from Mainz by some 13 km in a dormitory village with local restaurants. I chose it on price, convenience to my travel plans and its offering of a family room. It ticked all boxes and I got at least what i expected. Breakfast was nothing exciting but entirely adequate and we got a good sleep. So if you want the delivery of a no frills package at an affordable price go there. I think it had 18 rooms with full occupancy so it clearly rings a lot of bells for a lot of people looking for the effective provision of a no frills B & B. I'd plan it in again if in the region. Parking at the rear is available.

Für 3 Nächte hier übernachtet. Netter Empfang.

Gerne wieder!

Without any further introduction I´d like to share my experience... Pro: There is a room with a bed and a working shower. Con: Bedsheets and towels were used and dirty but changed after request. Still the now "fresh" bedsheets had a very intense and unpleased smell. The floor is really very dirty. An empty beer bottle was under my bed – I found it because of the odor. To round things up there was a fight between a woman and a man in the neighbour room at 2 am. Can´t blame the hotel for that but all in all I had one of the worst nights of my life. The breakfast can´t save anything here. It was one of the most basic ones that I saw in a hotel. The milk tasted sour the coffee awful (maybe because of the sour milk). I booked and payed for two nights (sadly in advance) but I left for good with the break of dawn after the first night.
