MARTINE: THE FRENCH WONDERWOMAN!
Reviewed By 742simontHaving read such positive reviews we decided to book La Maison de Myon and I contacted Martine directly via email. She explained that she had a family party already arranged for the day of our arrival but would make an exception for us and would open: we were the only guests staying the first night. The house has been beautifully renovated by Martine, is tastefully decorated and is full of beautiful sculptures, paintings and objets d'art. From the lovely warm welcome to the cheery goodbye the stay was delightful and Martine is an exceptional hostess, seemingly enjoying every minute of her work. The French breakfasts were delicious with croissants, brioche and crusty bread accompanied by home made jams and jellies. The location is perfect for the city centre and the Place Stanislas, both a 5-10 minute stroll, yet the house is beautifully quiet and calming. A great selection of wonderful r restaurants are within walking distance.

Great B&B, friendly staff
Reviewed By JoAnTGWe stayed at this B&B while passing through Gerardmer on our road trip. We stayed in room no 1. Spacious room and nice and clean bathroom. The room had a patio with a lounge set. We would've preferred it there was a partition between the patio's of the other rooms. Now you have no privacy if you want to sit outside of your room. About 10 minutes walk to the city centre of Gerardmer. Nice breakfast with fresh fruit, bread and a lot of choices.

Reviewed By O4877ZZl_asOur room was simple, not too small not too big. Everything was clean and neat when we arrived. The bed was very confortable. The bathroom had everything that we could expected. People were very nice. Always here to help. Breakfast was simple with fresh products.

A very nice restaurant
Reviewed By zemanek2018This restaurant is really close to the place where the battle of Verdun started. The place has been recommanded to us by the manager of the Tranchée de Chattancourt. Very nice welcome and dinner. Yet, it's better to book in advance on weekdays.

A unique stay at the end of our road trip
Reviewed By Andy BWe knew we were going to have a unique experience and the boat did not dissappoint. The room was fine but we were a little unlucky that the weather was so hot, making the metal boat difficult to cool down!! However, the owner and staff were charming and the breakfast was excellent.

Fantastic views if you get the right room!
Reviewed By Gilly WFantastic place perched high up in the mountains overlooking Bussang. The new owners speak very little English, but we’re very helpful and polite. However, I believe we were given the worse room of the place. We couldn’t believe it when he walked us round to the side of the property next to a bombed out old extension and remains of a burnt out fire. We booked a double room and walked into a lounge area with bunk beds and a wardrobe. Thankfully there was a double bedroom and everything was spotlessly clean, if not rather basic. Their saving grace was the amazing views from the veranda bar area and dinner that night. Absolutely fantastic, as was breakfast the following morning. So I would recommend it, but make sure you get one of the front facing rooms with veranda.

Reviewed By Anne DIf Carlberg was into B&B, than this is probably the best! Most beautiful view on the lake. Every morning fresh bread breakfast. Very nice hosts. Chalets with cosy decor. The most chilly place to come to ease. We’ll be back in winter to meat it in the snow.
