So if you come to North East India, you’re probably here for animal viewing or tea. I’m hear on business, my first hotel (see lower review) almost made me resign and go home.. Prism doesn’t represent well online, but let me assure you it’s much better than a Novotel, Four Points or Hilton Garden. The location is good, but most of all the rooms are new and modern. I am not scared to take my clothes off in bed or use the washroom. Being careful not to over sell it, I’ll leave you with this. If this is you’re first stop in India from the west, you’ll be comfortable here. If you’ve been in India awhile as I have, you’ll be over the moon. I’m in room 310 - some street noise but very good!

Large and clean rooms. But bathrooms need urgent improvement. Towels should be replaced with New ones. Friendly staff (but not very helpful). Centrally located. Decent breakfast spread although vegetarian only. On the downside 1) Bathroom floor is extremely slippery. No hand grips either. 2) No hot water in the evening unless you specifically ask them to start hot water. Need to wait for at least 45 minutes before the water gets hot.

The hotel should not accept any reservation now. Due to some road expansion some portion of hotel is broken and they are repairing it, they should complete the repairing fast then they should take booking. Rooms are not bad, good in size, toilet is also okay. Service is also up to the mark. Free breakfast has nothing to take, actually they have very less occupancy so it is difficult for them to maintain services. Rates is also high comparing to location and place. After renovation it could be a good hotel

It takes 30 to 40 min to get a cup of tea in deluxe room. Cookies are served after 30 min of serving tea. Fruit basket is placed without knife and knife is only supplied after two telephone calls. pathetic

Rooms are OK as per the rates. Food is good. They also offer thalis as room service, both veg and non veg. They also have covered parking facility. Wi-Fi is available, but is very slow most of the times.

Went into this nice looking hotel for couple of days but by god's grace, next morning we got booking at some other hotel. It was horrible experience. The hotel room doors are slide doors, seriously, these are used in bathrooms. Room was dirty and bed sheets and pillow cover were all used and never cleaned one. We had to request them to change. Water in bathroom is all smelly, seems like drain water, we used bisleri to brush, didn't even wash our face. TV is literally on the ceiling plus the staff are totally irresponsive. My advice - DONT EVER GO, if you have got guts to face it, book some 200-300 hotel, it might provide same experience.

Booked via Agoda and got the confirmation immediately -- that's great. Booking was done for my parents(senior citizens) who were travelling by themselves. When they reached the property, they were being told by the reception guy that they can't accept this booking as they have not received earlier payment from OYO for last couple of months. I mean what? They also told that they were aware of the booking. If aware, shouldn't you inform me in advance that you will not accept? Were you guys sleeping? And if OYO is not paying, why are you still listing your property on their platform? You wanted to use their platform and not honoring the bookings?? This is not done. Since my parents have no option, they asked the receptionist to do a fresh booking for which they have to pay by cash. Also, the service was pathetic. When ordered for some specific breakfast(not out of the moon) - who are you to suggest "have this". Can't even prepare omelettes...holy crap. Reason given - no eggs available in the market. Management of Baruah's guest house - Are you listening??

I do not give bad reviews but this hotel has earned it. The hotel through out was grubby with food plates left in the corridors with food and red spit adorning the walls. They did not want to take our bags to our rooms but eventually did.The room was large with inadequate bedding,a smelly old thick woollen blanket was the bed cover which we found in the cupboard. The room was full of mosquitoes and on our first night we caught 40 !!. The basics were missing. We went out for a few hours and on our return I asked reception for our key and the young women informed us that room cleaning was being done,we went up to our room to find our door wide open,no one around and no cleaning had been done so why our door was open I do not know. We could only have a beer in the back room bar but they did not want us to drink it there we had to take it to our room ! The only person to show us a friendly face was the women that works on the front desk otherwise it was the most unfriendly hotel that we have ever stayed in in India. A great location but you should look at the other hotels in this street. The restaurant has a great menu but it is hard to find a dish that is available. We were glad to leave Hotel Dilip.
