Reviewed By SingaporeSingWe visited this hotel the first month it was open in 2014 and chose to return again this year. It was wonderful then and it remains wonderful now. Down a quiet alley just off a main street. It's cool, safe, and quiet with great views on the higher floors. We arrived before our check in time and were offered a (legitimately tasty) breakfast and a place to store our bags in the meantime. We were kindly upgraded and the room was clean and comfortable. Zero complaints.

Reviewed By W7308ZAjakemThis hotel is amazing for the price. The room was clean and a good size, the bed was quite hard but it’s to be expected at this price point. The staff are super friendly and kind, upon our arrival we were given fresh fruits and juices by them, throughout the whole stay the staff were perfect. The breakfast was really good too, you just ordered whatever you wanted off the menu and could order as much as you wanted, on one occasion they encouraged us to order more food! The hotel is in a really good location too, if you are looking for somewhere to stay in Hue and you’re on a budget or just trying to save money this is the place to go.

The room was spotless, quiet, cleaned everyday and was perfect for our needs. It was located in a great area near the centre and walking street and near to the river. When we come back to Hue, I know we will definitely want to stay here again! Thank you for such a wonderful time with you.

Reviewed By logo369I was surprised when the driver dropped me off, I actually expected another hotel I had stayed before. I was put at ease by the smile and friendliness of the desk lady. It had been a long day and tired. She gave me a room in the 4th floor, I said to myself no elevator, I am tired. The young man there helped me with my heavy suitcase, he too was tired after hauling it up. I went down and they were laughing, she said she would move me the next day. That she did, I was very grateful for it. The room was nice and large, it was very comfortable for me. The staff was great and helpful arranging a trip for me. The location is great, near the walking street, a lot of restaurants and the river. Within 5 minutes by Grab or taxi to the Citadel. I plan to stay there next time I return. My only sorrow is that I forgot to tip, which is very embarrassing. I will atone first it.

Reviewed By pokulowe highly recommend staying in Phong Lan Hotel/Guesthouse. Personnel is super friendly. Rooms are clean. Balkony is nice. Street is calm. Room service tide's every day. All extras, except of breakfast, which is easily found next street in french-sryle restaurants.

Reviewed By 246warrenmWe’re on a 4 week trip through SE Asia and as we near the end this homestay is among the 2 best places we have stayed. The hosts Tawzheng and Lien were an amazing couple. They radiate happiness and, of course, this creates a wonderful environment for guests. It’s nice to share that their enthusiasm is well-placed. They have much to be proud of as they’re clearly offering a superior travel experience. Their homestay is impeccable, modern and very well-located to many popular coffee shops and restaurants. The breakfast was outstanding, lots of choice and it was very good. We found the hosts to be very helpful in arranging last minute airport taxi and tours - the communication was immediate, professional and flawless, despite us needing to make some last minute requests. We wish we could have stayed longer, but if returning to Hue we wouldn’t even research other accommodation, this is where we’ll stay.

Nous avons passe un Noel en famille inoubliable a La Habana House, une grande part grace a l’acceuil, l’aimabilite du tenant de l’hotel -Mr Qui et sa famille. Ils se sont mis en quatre pour rendre notre sejour le plus agreeable possible. La famille francaise manque a nos enfants, Mr Qui a organise une petite fete pour nous et ses deux enfants. Nous sommes vraiment touches par leur gentillesse. Ils etaient toujours la pour nous aider, conseiller. L’hotel ne peut pas etre mieux place, en plein quartier pieton et central de Hue. Toutes sont a proximity. Les chambres sont toutes neuves, decorees avec gout, confortable, les notres ont de tres belles vues donnees vers la rivière. Le petit dejeune est delicieux et typique. C’etait un des no’s meilleurs sejours d’hotellerie sub vietnam, si ce n’es Pas Le meilleur.

Reviewed By Irwin JA nice and clean room with a very confused bed fire a change. We somehow got the triple room, which is their vip room. Slightly larger bathroom and room than the others. The night staff struggle with English but the lady on in the mornings was good.

Perfect location but noisy and a poor night sleep

It's very reasonably priced and includes a good breakfast. The room and bedding was very clean. However, the room is incredibly noisy due to echoey high ceilings and thin walls so you can hear everything going on at reception where people are eating their breakfasts. It's impossible to have a lie in. There was a glass window leading out to the stairwell, and since there was no curtain and the light was on all night, the light was shining into our room, again disturbing our sleep. There was also a very unpleasant smell in the bathroom and the water was freezing cold. Our stay was what you would expect for the cheap price and for the 2 nights we stayed, it was fine but we wouldn't have stayed longer.
