We are a 17th century rural country pub with two bars, three dining areas and a gorgeous beer garden. Plush boutique rooms offering B&B. Pocket sprung mattresses with Egyptian cotton bed linen and a continental breakfast. Free parking in an accessible location close to Horsham, Gatwick Airport and Brighton.
I needed a place to stay near Steyning at relatively short notice, and found this via google maps. I needed a (very) late check-in, and the staff were super-helpful and accomodating, which was appreciated: full marks for customer service! The room was cozy and comfortable, equipped with intriguing modern gadgets (hive thermostat and electric roof-window blind) and I enjoyed a solid night's sleep. Breakfast was just right, and with parking and wifi right there it was everything I needed. Thank you! Planning to return.

Whilst on holiday we visited mid-week for an early evening drink. The staff and customers were very friendly and chatty. We returned for the Sunday lunch and had a very tasty meal. Although the staff were busy nothing was too much trouble. Would certainly recommend people to come. The rest of the menu looked interesting. Pity we weren't staying longer in the area.

Two new double en suite bedrooms in a converted out building situated next to a rural sussex country pub offering locally sourced ales and home cooked food from Wednesday to Saturday lunch and evening and Sunday to Tuesday lunch.
First visit back to the George and Dragon since their 18 month closure. They now have a very large building at the back that would be very good for internal dining or events though I thought the design wasn't quite in keeping with the old building. I also won't deny I hated the unisex toilets but this seems to be an unfortunate modern trend. The front of the building retains all of it's original charm and our food, both main course and dessert, was superb. The food and drink good value in my opinion. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming to us and our dog. There was live music playing in the garden which was great. I definitely recommending visiting if you are considering it and making up your own mind about the place. And it's always good to support our rural pubs.

Down for a wedding and stayed here for a night. Cannot praise the hotel enough. The owners and staff are lovely and friendly and very accommodating. Our daughter is celiac and they catered for her dietary requirements perfectly. The breakfast was wonderful. Buffet and freshly cooked to order. The hotel itself is full of character, the rooms were lovely and spotless. It was all so comfortable and we wished we were able to stay longer. Will certainly be returning when next down south. Thank you to everyone there.

Good food led freehold pub with rooms and self catering accommodation
One nights stay visiting family in the Horsham area. Excellent night's sleep in a small but comfortable room above the pub. The King size bed was very comfortable and we had an excellent night's sleep. Didn't have an evening meal due to family commitments but the hamper breakfast, which we ate in our room, was perfect. Coffee machine made lovely coffee as well.

The 400-year-old White Horse Hotel was a traditional coaching inn in Storrington, a rural village in the heart of West Sussex, which is mentioned in the Domesday Book. Among the well-known people with a connection to Storrington and the White Horse are Sir Arnold Bax who was resident at the hotel in the 1940s, and Hilaire Belloc, who stayed in the village in 1906. While not losing its character, the hotel has just been refurbished in a contemporary style by present owners. The White Horse offers 13 bedrooms, each with en suite bathroom equipped with power shower, heated towel rail and hairdryer. Each room is also equipped with television and radio and the accommodation is perfect for both business travellers looking for a change from the usual chain hotel and for those visitors wanting a relaxed base for a leisure break. Family rooms are also offered for those with children. The White Horse Hotel is an ideal venue for wedding receptions, private parties and business meetings.
If I had the option to rate zero I would. This unprofessional shower take bookings and money and don't have the courtesy to tell you they have closed down. Emailing their head office is no good either as they just hide behind ignoring any correspondence. I am only pleased that we have all found alternate accommodation which is am sure will be far superior to this dump.

We stumbled upon this lovely pub and accommodation while I was looking for a last minute night away with my Dad. We met the lovely owners called Oonagh and Colin who were very welcoming and helped us take our bags up to our room. We stayed in room 17, it was spotlessly clean with lovely soft towels, washing products, tea making facilities in the room, a large fan tucked away in the corner and super comfy beds. Our room had the added bonus of a little sky light in the bathroom to let in natural light. I used the shower and it was very powerful which is great considering we were on the top floor. While this accommodation does not have on site parking, there is a public car park directly behind it and it only costs £3 for 24 hours using either cash or the JustPark app. We had dinner at the pub and the food was delicious, my Dad is a particularly fussy eater and all his needs were catered for. Staff went above and beyond to ensure his needs were met and did so in a very friendly manner. We went to a little bakery next to the pub for breakfast, which came highly recommended from the owners….we were not disappointed! All in all, this is a great place to stay and I will be coming back with my husband very soon as there are a lot of golf courses locally!

One Room with Super king bed / twin bedded room en suite with own staircase and entrance overlooking garden. Tea/coffee making facilities with fresh milk in fridge, iron, safe, robes and hairdryer. Room Only . Facilities of the house and swimming are no longer available.
I booked for my husband and friends to stay the night before and after our wedding. Everybody was so lovely and welcoming it really helped to ease the stress of the day! The rooms are lovely - I really recommend the four poster room if you want a treat. The gardens are stunning and the pool was a brilliant addition especially as we where so lucky with the weather. Breakfasts where included in the room price and there was a great selection that catered to all our needs, we had vegan, vegetarian, gluten and lactose free in our party. Over all I would really recommend staying here if you are visiting the area.
