Lying at the heart of Norway’s Western Fjord area, Hordaland is home to culturally rich Bergen, the country’s second largest city. Hardangerfjord, Norway’s second-longest fjord (and the third-longest in the world), is here too, and cruising along its scenic 110 miles is a top area activity. Leirvik, the second-biggest town in Hordaland, has the interesting open-air Sunnhordland Folk Museum. Set atop one of the country’s biggest glaciers, Folgefonna National Park has a popular summer ski center.

Welcome to Vik Pensjonat og Hytter in the centre of Eidfjord. We have cosy cottages and rooms for 2-6 persons. We serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner in our cafe with seats for 50 persons. There is also a large outdoor area where we serve food and refreshments. Short distance to various services. Eidfjord offers several activities by the fjord or in the mountains. Experience this tranquil oasis and engulf yourself in some of the country's most stunning nature.
We ordered the caesar salad. Very tasty and a good full plate. Nice place to sit both inside and outside. Recommended. Will definitely be back soon to try the trout which was unfortunatly sold out. ??

Trolltunga Hotel is situated in the heart of the Town of Outdoorlife, Odda in Hardanger. Our focus is on sustainability, to express the unique history of the area, to create a relaxing atmosphere and to use local producers both furnishings, food and drinks. The beautiful villa building from 1928 was renovated in 2017, with a newly built wing from 2016. In 2021, even more rooms were in at a brand new floor at the added wing, as well as a spectacular restaurant made of glass in front of the hotel. The interior is a combination of Nordic, modern and retro, but since we are so privileged regarding surroundings – mountains, waterfalls and glacier water - the view out to the beautiful nature is the main interior. While taking in the impression of the mighty Opo River right outside the windows our team strives to offer a place where everyone of our guests can recharge their batteries.
Excellent reception staff and restaurant waiter. Local dishes on menu, served with a smile. Hotel rooms are.... small. Hotel is from the 1920, so this is no 5 star plastic hotel, but you get an autenitic experience. Be sure to order local cider when here. World class.

Lovely authentic old hotel. We visited off season, in October, and despite the fact that the restaurant was closed, the owners still provided a great plate of crisp bread, ham, cheese and fruit for dinner. Thank you, Ove and Turid! ❤️ We had some magnificent hikes in the area. ⛰

Our hotel and restaurant is idyllically located in the small harbor in the village Bekkjarvik, just a short boat ride away from the city center of Bergen. The Hotel has been the heart of this fishing village since it was built in the 1600`s. Today Bekkjarvik Gjestgiveri still provides a calm harbor for all travelers, both Norwegian and foreign. Most people visit us to enjoy great food and drinks surrounded by the beautiful nature the west coast of Norway has to offer. We are very proud of our kitchen team, managed by the twin brothers Ørjan & Arnt Johannessen. The nature surrounding Bekkjarvik is wild and generous; the sea provides us with fresh fish, shellfish and other seafood, while the moors and woods are home to deer and wild sheep, both of which are excellent game meat, and of course we also have local herbs and mushrooms. Arnt, Ørjan and the kitchen team create the menu each day with one goal in mind: to provide their guests with an unforgettable dining experience
A lovely hotel in beautiful surroundings. The food really is excellent. The staff are very helpful. Took the boat from Bergen and the hotel is very close to a port. Took a bus across the island on the way back to a different port and saw the great countryside on the island. Had a great couple of days

A warm welcome to Eidfjord Guest House/Bed & Breakfast. At our carefully restored premises, we currently offer 5 double rooms and 6 two bedded camping huts. Enjoy a homely stay at this small, friendly Guest House offering good basic standard and affordable rates. You'll find us at the centre of ovre Eidfjord, along Route (Rv.) 7. Situated at the foot of Hardangervidda, Europe's largest mountain plateau, this is an ideal starting point for short strolls or long hikes in this spectacular and beautiful wilderness.
We stopped here while on a roadtrip, & had very good food. Not many choices on the menu, I think three, but we chose Kjøttkake, & it was very tasty, & a big portion. The place is old, & filled with history. You can also spend the night there, the rooms & cabins looked cozy.

Solneset Farm is just outside Bergen, but at the same time in the middle of nature between beautiful mountains, rivers, and a lake. It's plenty of hiking and biking possibilities in the area, both summer and winter.
Upon arrival we were made to feel incredibly welcome, the room was fantastic and the communal areas are nicely furnished and decorated. The farm is in a beautiful valley away from the bustle of the city. We only wish we had booked a longer stay!

The location is great, specially for winter when you can ski in and out which I love. It has a nice atmosphere and good service. Free breakfast included with lots of options, and you pay by room which is good for families.

Given this is the best option around, I should perhaps have given it full pot. However, I found the stay to be quite expensive considering what you get. I was travelling in company with a larger group and upon arrival asked if they had rooms with a double bed (I arrived first, and was given a room with two single beds in a cramped room close to the restaurant). Given that the hotel was EMPTY I thought perhaps I could change before other people joined. I was told the hotel did not offer this, but later my companions were given these exact rooms. The dinner on offer was also resembling more of a fast-food cuisine than that of a restaurant (bread-fried fish, readymade boiled veggies) Still, the location is quite and nice, cannot complain about the cleanliness of the place. And breakfast was very good.
