We stayed here for one night on our way to Inverness to travel the NC500, and were blown away by the quality and service provided by Mark and his team. 2 weeks later we stayed another night before travelling home, and this proved that the first visit wasn’t a fluke. The quality at this B&B is nothing short of exceptional. Everything is “just right”, from the furniture & decor to the marvellous food at breakfast & dinner. Mark makes everyone feel at home and extremely comfort from the moment you step in the door. As an ex-chef, it is clear he still has a passion for food. Breakfast is exceptional, and the dinner option during Summer months is a “must have” - why walk into Fort William, which is quite run-down, when you can have the quality of food offered by Mark. If that’s not enough, the bedrooms are a good size, with high quality furnishings and extremely comfortable large beds. We have no hesitation in recommending this accommodation, and it would be our first and only choice when visiting the area again.

Just south of Ft William proper, this guesthouse was very clean and quiet with a very comfortable bed and a fine shower. Parking was a little tight but easily negotiated. The view of the Loch was beautiful and serene. I highly recommend a stay here. My only fault was the lack of a breakfast at the time we stayed but I hope that changes in the future and this place would be complete.

We stayed here with our two children for one night during the Easter holidays. The owners are very welcoming and super helpful. The building is beautiful and only a few minutes walk to the town centre. It is exceptionally clean, very comfortable and quiet. Excellent breakfast. We would definitely return to stay again.

Ravenswood House is nearly 150 years old, having been built originally in 1872 and served as a military base then a royal navy base in the First World War. Set completely in its own grounds, the property boasts stunning elevated views over the West Highland Railway Line to Loch Linnhe, Ben Nevis and surrounding countryside. Ravenswood oozes an abundance of character and charm and boasts a wealth of original Victorian features including a striking glazed cupola and open plaster archway in the dining hallway and open fireplaces in most rooms.
Lisa is a lovely host who maintains very high standards and happily give her local knowledge of great places to eat. Our room was very clean, nicely decorated, a huge bed, a small fridge containing fresh milk and lovely new ensuite. The only thing missing was a rail to hang clothes. Breakfast is served in a room overlooking the water and if you time it right you can see the Jacobite Express chug past. Breakfast consisted of fresh fruit, yoghurt, porridge, banana bread, boiled eggs, cereals, bread etc...so much more too.

I would echo all the other glowing reviews of Achintee Farm. My husband and I spent one night there after finishing the West Highland Way. We loved the setting, the breakfast, the comfortable and large bedroom and en-suite bath. Scot was a fun and generous host, and we enjoyed chatting with him about long-distance walks. Dinner at the Ben Nevis pub up the track was excellent. We would love to come back and spend a few quiet days at Achintee at any time of year.

Good points: large rooms, clean, shared bathrooms clean too, situation about 20 min walk from train station. Host is friendly. Could be better: main door never locked, no place to eat (other than sitting on the bed in the room). Shared bathrooms hard to get to on busy weekends

We have 3 self catering rooms finished to a high standard. We are located in Achintee, right at the start of the pony track up Ben Nevis, and directly below the Ben Nevis Inn. Tower Ridge sleeps 10 people, Red Burn sleeps 8 people and Lochan sleeps 6 people, all in bunk beds. Each room has its own toilet, shower, dry room and kitchenette. The kitchenette has a fridge, sink, toaster, kettle and Nespresso machine. Coffee tea and milk are provided. All towels and bedding are provided by us
Heard all about this lovely ‘inn’ and we walked from the Glen Nevis Campsite to Fort William, and decided to carry on to the Ben Nevis Inn. Arrived soaking wet, with a dog and was told no dogs allowed. We sat in the rain and wind outside quickly drinking an expensive 2 drinks and then left. It’s a dog walkers paradise around Ben Nevis, no facilities to accommodate a pooch is disgraceful. Will definitely not return.

This is a great place to stay. It's centrally located, walkable to everything. The hosts are pleasant and helpful, keep it spotlessly clean, and make amazing breakfasts! (Which is helpful if you are planning an active day hiking or cycling.) We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.
