Time seems to stand still in Evora, a well-preserved medieval town that features protective walls, a 13th-century cathedral, several palaces, and a 1st-century Roman temple. No surprise that the town center is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Even though it’s kind of creepy, don’t miss the Chapel of Bones, where the remains of nuns and monks are arranged in a haunting mosaic.

In a pharmacist house in Evora - Worl heritage by Unesco, born a new concept of Local accommodation. The "Alentejo" designed exclusively for you!
My family and I stayed two nights at the hotel in May and had a very pleasant encounter with Dario, the guest services manager. My son left a pair of shoes at a restaurant that he had just purchased that evening. We were leaving the next morning and Dario helped get them back to us by going to the restaurant, getting the shoes, and returning them to the shoe store who shipped them up to their other property in Porto. We went in and picked them up! Dario really went above and beyond helping us. So I would like to salute him, as well as mention how wonderfully well located the hotel is for everything you need in Evora. The rooftop is a lovely spot for a glass of wine while the town bustles down below. Thank you for an enjoyable stay!

Quinta do Cano is a bed and breakfast where also the owners live, along with their animals, such as dogs, donkeys and pigs. The Quinta is situated 3.5 km from the historic center, on the rural and agricultural side of Évora. For those who like to walk there is a walking path along the Aqueduct, for those who want to make daytrips, the Quinta is situated directly on a national road that gives access to many daytrips to and historic towns and attractions. The Quinta consists of a main building and two apartments. In the main building there is a quadruple room (2 bedrooms and a bathroom), a double room and a single room, both with their own bathroom. The main building has two covered terraces. Between these terraces is a terrace with swimming pool. The two apartments, one double and one quadruple, contain a living room with TV and DVD player, a fully equipped kitchen, one or two bedroom(s), a bathroom with shower and a private terrace.
It was by birthday present and also first time to stay in a dog friendly hotel. All of us including Watson, who usually shies away from other dogs, loved the place. The place is just fantastic - it is quiet, the rooms are cool (which is important in Alentejo), the grounds are beautiful and the presence of animals (Irish wolfhounds and other dogs, donkeys, pigs, kittens) create a very friendly relaxed atmosphere. It was super easy to find. We were greeted by Monique. You can tell there is a lot of work invested into the maintenance. The gardens are stunning, the rooms and dining area are immaculately clean. We enjoyed hanging out by the pool, walking around with Watson at the dawn, interacting with other dogs, relaxing in our super comfortable and tastefully decorated apartment. The breakfast was delicious. Wim told me, among other things, that they like visiting Ireland. No wonder we were served hot scones. It is not just the place but the hosts who made our visit very comfortable. Wim saw us off by opening the gate for the car. We drove to Monsaraz in the evening for dinner in the historical castle-village and to see the stars in the Observatory and to Evora for lunch the next day. Both towns are highly recommended. It was great to discover that traveling with a dog can be just as as good as going alone, even better. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Thank you

Evora Inn is a Guest House located in Praca do Giraldo, the Centre of Evora. In this historic building, restored in 2010, was proclaimed the Republic in the year 1910. It comprises 10 rooms/studios (single, double, suite, family rooms for 3, 4, 5 people, and studios with kitchenette), all with private WC, air conditioning, TV and wifi. It is a carefully restored building, kept the original architecture of the building but with a contemporary shape. The rooms feature an artistic decor which include designer furniture and fittings. Evora Inn is 100m from Cathedral of Evora and Roman Temple; 50m from the Church of S. Francisco chapel of the Bones. A full check-in is carried out with the guests, providing the cultural agenda, always having a set of custom proposals according to guests: family programs, specific cultural programmes, gastronomic, geological, etc. We keep a direct collaboration with companies promoting guided tours in the city, visits to wineries and megalithic monuments, and bicycles for rent.
The reception was very efficient and very friendly. Room was nice and large, with a good bad and a private bathroom. We stayed here on 2 occasions. Not the quietest of places. When sleeping with the window open, the street noise is bothersome. The advantage is that you are staying right in the centre of Evora, close to all places of interest. Parking can be found nearby on public parking spaces.

Our property is located at one of the doors of the old medieval walls of Évora, a 7 minute walk from the main square, Praça do Giraldo. The house, from the 1950’s, has been fully renovated. The six rooms have been thoughtfully designed, are airy and bright. They are equipped with air conditioning and wi-fi, and have double glazed windows, so that you have a quiet night. Two rooms are on the ground floor. Four are on the upper floor. Linen and towels are included. There is a living room with a TV, two shared bathrooms (each with a shower cabin), one toilet and a backyard.
Everything was as advertised. Nice communal area, nice dining area. Our room was comfortable, our host was nice and very helpful. The location is excellent. Breakfast was basic but sufficient. I appreciate the conscious effort of this hostel.

We stayed here for two nights. It’s right in the old centre of Évora, on a cute square and very close to all the main sights. The check in process was easy through the shop assistants in Ale Hop. The entrance is next door to the shop. The place is very clean and modern inside. There is a washing machine and dryer free to use for guests. There is a good kitchen with a fridge The room we stayed in was large with modern and comfortable furniture and black and white prints on the wall. The bed was super comfortable and unlike most hotel beds these beds have proper duvet covers, fitted sheets and comfy pillows. We loved staying here for the comfy beds and the lovely setting right on the square.

Building located in the historical center of Evora, about 5-10 minutes walk from the main tourist sites, renovated in 2019. Consisting of 5 bedrooms and 2 apartments with lots of natural light. Guests can cook their meals in the common kitchen and enjoy them in the dining room or on the patio, they can also relax reading a book in the reading room or simply watching a movie in the tv room.
We really enjoyed our time in Evora. The unit was cute and felt very local. It was a little dark in the unit and could use increased lighting or brighter bulbs. Breakfast was delicious of baked goods and breads, fruit, yogurt, cheeses and meats. Coffee was instant.

Wonderful cottage hotel with 6 rooms and 5 suites, 5 min. from Évora.
The staff is nice and polite, hotel location is also good. A country side / rural location with all that means. Some spiders, cats, mosquito etc. Well let's not forget we are on the middle of nowhere and Evora city centre is like 10km far. Rooms are old and really need a good an nice investment from management. Some of the furniture is older than I do :) 45. The pool seems pretty ok and clean of course and once again need some improvement... For 40€ per night we can't expect honestly more than this considering the location and the lack of people to work on cleaning / construction etc. Been here and probably won't return but does not kill anyone and for a quick Stay for 2 or 3 days is fine specialy for low budget visitors.
