As the ancient capital of the Burgundy province, Dijon is an architecturally rich city offering far more than mustard. In its restored medieval core, you'll discover one of France's oldest museums, the Musee des Beaux-Arts, as well as the elegant Palace of the Dukes and the opulent 1614 mansion Hotel de Vogue. Take a quiet walk through the lime- and chestnut-lined paths of Cours du Parc, a green space dating to 1671, and don't forget to pair the region's rich history with its gastronomic delights.

Four guest rooms and a luxurious suite in a 19th century wine growers dwelling: whether you are touring the region, or en route through Burgundy, this bed and breakfast 1km from the centre of Dijon is an ideal stopover !
We loved thee Marcs d'Or from the moment we arrived. The staff were warm and welcoming and the room we stayed in was absolutely charming. We couldn't believe that the large living room, bedroom and bathroom were all for us! The breakfast was the best we had during our 8 day stay in France and they were vegetarian friendly. Best of all, I stupidly left my passport and money underneath my pillow. By the time I realised I was 400km away and rather panicked! Ludovic was very kind and couriered my passport and money to a friend in France the next day. I can't thank them enough for a fantastic stay and being so kind and efficient with returning my belongings. Thank you!

A lovely house in a charming village with history that deserves more investigation. We were one of five couples staying this night which made for lively conversation over an evening meal. Unfortunately it was not to be. The meal, though all home made, was just a little above average but not plentiful. The conversation was very much 'one sided' by a guest who had a lot to say/sell? and the wine not so special as to compensate. But it was finding out that our bathroom was not en-suite that downgraded our views. Countary to other guest reviews, I didn't enjoy the breakfast as the choice was somewhat limited to bread not to my liking.Maybe it had something to do with a disturbed nights sleep as the church bells ring just across the road and the curtains in the bedroom are so thin that they neither stop daylight nor noise. The separation between rooms left a lot to be desired. All that said, the house with its spiral staircase was a delight, and our hostess manages everything on her own - - -without the use of a village shop. indeed, she did very well under these circumstances. The walk around the outskirts of the village after breakfast is well worth while.I feel the history about here should be investigated further. The village itself with its ' wash house' is also very interesting. To sumerise I'd say - - - -we've stayed in better places and eaten better food, but I can see why other people could find Le Puits Fortifie quite acceptable.

We booked and stayed as an overnight stop. This hotel is pretty much the next step up from a hostel so go in as we did with expectations at that level and you'll be ok. Room/beds were clean with a nice little kitchenette area, the shower was good also. There is a restaurant/bar attracted but we did not eat there. There was karaoke going on later in the evening but close the outter window and the shriking cat noise is gone!! My only bad point would be very typically British........There was no kettle, so we went old school, water, pan, cooker hob =good done

This budget hotel, 3 minutes from the train station, is named after the dark romantic writer of the XIX century, the author of "Sepulchral notes". The name probably corresponds to this old-style hotel. It seemed to me that I had fallen, if not in the time of Chateaubriand, then in the time of de Gaulle and Giscard d'Estaing for sure. But it's not a big deal. The shower cabin is located directly in the room and from it you can view the avenue Marshal Foch. I lived on the 3rd floor, and if the same thing is on the 1st floor, then this is a room for exhibitionists. Fun for the amateur... Seriously, the shower stall leads to humidity in the room and an unavoidable smell of mustiness. Otherwise, it's fine. TV. The Wi-Fi is working. The view from the window is good.
