Hazelwood Lodge is perfectly located to explore the surrounding area (Burren National Park, Aran Islands -> Doolin is 30mn away by car, Aillwee Caves literally around the corner) but it is not just the location that makes this B&B a great place to stay. Victor and Geraldine are such friendly hosts and have tastefully decorated and maintained their lodge, with clean, spacious rooms and very comfortable beds. The surroundings are green and quiet, and the breakfast is delicious with a large choice of options for all tastes. To top this off, the lodge is 3mn away by car or 15mn walk away from the centre of Ballyaughan and a number of great restaurants. Monks was our go to place and we were treated to a wonderful sunset. Clean, comfortable and just outside the quaint town of Doolin. The property had great views and Martin was welcoming and happy to share recommendations of local sites, shops and pubs. Rooms had lots of space and the continental breakfast has many food items to choose from. No wonder this place has so many good write ups, they are well deserved.

Greeted in an odd way upon arrival, but the host was friendly. Nice location. Okay Wifi. Excellent breakfast offerings. Tea in room and tiny fridge were great touches. Our room was extremely small, as was the bathroom. Good luck to any big people. While the decor in our room was cute, it was a bit like sensory overload for my taste. The night was quiet and relaxing, but the day starts early and noise carries; we could easily hear everything in the hallway and some people in other rooms. This is a good spot, and I would recommend it, but I might try another place were I to return to the area.

This is a friendly lovely family run place. My room was extra comfortable & the owners were quick to help and answer any questions. It really is a comfortable place and despite being on a road into the village it was quiet and i would know. It was an easy walk to the local pubs and restaurants. Lots of on site parking. I highly recommend.

Our unique Country House is situated in over 40 acres of land at the foot of the Burren hills with a scenic view across Galway Bay.Our bedrooms are all en suite and comfortable and furnished in the antique style, so that you can relax in comfort, feeling the peace and quiet, for which The Waters is known. We can accommodate up to 30 guests in a mix of double, family, and twin rooms.
The pictures of The Waters Country House can't quite capture just how different and quirky (in a good way) The Waters is. It was great to have rooms, other than one's bedroom, to relax in. The fact that fires were lit and an honour bar added to the atmosphere. However, what I really appreciated was Wolfgang and Maria's willingness to change the booking mistake I'd made. Lovely place, lovely hosts
