Conviniently located within walking distance to all shops and a 10 minute boat ride to the entrance of the Chobe National Park. We offer accommodation, boat cruises, game drives, fishing and canoe trips.

Reviewed By junglejanebettenayStrangely enough I didn't make it to The Old House this time, but my guides and Client did and they absolutely LOVED it. The cozy atmosphere, fantastically friendly efficient staff and superb cuisine all added to their glowing experience. I was SO SAD I couldn't be there and have a yarn to Luke Riggs who has made this place better than your average home away from home. If their was 10 stars I would have rated 10 1/2!! Next time I will BE THERE, I can already almost taste the freshly caught seafood melting in my mouth, and the comfortable bed luring me in for a superb quiet nights sleep. Luke, Kagiso and everyone else a HEARTY Thankyou!!

Reviewed By U9210MUWe were only here for lunch then to take the Chobe River cruise. The lunch buffet was nice and impala was on the menu. The river cruise was fun and educational. Bring sun protection! The crew provides beverages.

Quiet, pleasant guesthouse
Reviewed By Arthur CThis was a very quiet guesthouse on the outskirts of Kasane. Only six rooms, I was the only guest at the time. It is clean, well run and safe. Only drawback is that it only has a bathtub and no shower. Also no restaurant available but there are plenty of choices in Katane

Reviewed By mardiindiaI arrived for a weeklong safari on a Sunday, DO NOT arrive on a Sunday in Kasane. The safari company I booked with brought me to the Liya Lodge. There is NOTHING to do around here, thank goodness there was wifi. The TV did not work, there is no place to walk as they say elephants and other wild animals roam freely and to be aware. There was no dinner offered. The sheets and towels smelled so strongly of laundry detergent I could hardly sleep and could barely dry my face with a towel, the smell was so strong it was almost unbearable. The place did seem clean enough but I certainly could have afforded a nicer place and wish I would've stayed somewhere else. The staff was nice but did not understand things that where very comprehensive. If I was a youngster who didn't know better, this would be just ok. Otherwise book someplace else, preferably with views on the Chobe River, you'll be glad you did! Will not stay here again.

Simple, but completely sufficient
Reviewed By Klaus FThe booking with booking.com (4 nights) was easy as usual. The place is rather good to find, there is a sign at the main road. Check-in was no problem, the staff is friendly and helpful. The place is in the center of the village, surrounded by a wall, equipped with an electric gate (guests get a key) and they have security at night. My room was small, but clean, with AC, shower and WC. The electric wiring made a makeshift impression, but all-in-all no problem there. Compared to other places in Kasane the price for a stay at this place is very reasonable.
