We had a pleasant surprise upon checking in to this BnB. The family run establishment is clean, comfortable and relatively near Alishan and Chiayi. We stayed in a family room ( there is only 1 such room) for 2 nights. The beds are tatami mats with a futon overlaid. Very spacious and comfortable. The carpark offers ample parking. Just a note for drivers, the address may not be easily accessible from map applications but the property is located on Google maps accurately.

the host is super friendy and the b&B is clean big and big area, very comfy. Also can see the sunrise at the top floor. They also tell me where to visit and the nice local resturants in Alishan. A very comfy experience. I will be be back!

Everyone arrives this place with a Wow as the views from entrance and the garden are just impressive and spectacular. The couple owners take care of the garden so carefully that there are always fresh flowers and candles lightened at the table of public places for day and night. The houses are gracefully built and painted in Tuscany style, there are even a high ceiling window with decorated fireplace facing high mountains feeling like at top of the castle. The other surprising beauty is the sunrise above the high mountain and tea garden, only 5 minutes' walks from the garden , thus to make the sunrise trip more easily enjoyable. The breakfast is also served healthily and fruitfully to start the next journey. The stay here is certainly worthwhile.

When we first check-in, the staff was really helpful and gave us the tour on the room and facilities. The room was clean and very spacious for our family of 5 adults. The view from the room was awesome too! Their hotpot dinner is convenient and healthy with a generous serving! After the dinner, they even have tea sharing session to talk about the tea in alishan! The breakfast was tasty and homely and they even gave us recommendations on Alishan sightseeing routes during breakfast time. The experience was great and is totally recommend!

The Yunminju is located in Shizhuo bed & breakfast community along the Alishan highway. There is a large tea garden in front of our mansion, as well as hundred acres of bamboo forest and China fir forests in the back. Going to Yunminju is like going to Arcadia; it is a happy land that you will never want to leave.Tea drinking, fig jelly DIY, and engaging in small chit-chat are fun activities to do here. You can also enjoy a quick walk in the forest or just relax in your cozy bedroom. There are also delicious, healthy meals prepared for you. You can enjoy our open-concept living room, the pavilion, the rocking chair, and the wooden tables. Everything here will make you feel at home; our fine reputation for our earnest and hospitable service is a guarantee that you are sure to enjoy!
The host was a very friendly and helpful man. He picked us up from Fenchihu bus stop a little after 3:00 p.m. He also gave us a tea-making demonstration after dinner. Their tea was so excellent that we decided to buy one can of their High Mountain Tea. We felt assured that we were buying directly from the source. We stayed in one of their traditional wooden room and it was clean and cozy. The bathroom even had the Japanese-style bidet with heated toilet seat. Loved it! We had to walk a short distance from the old building to the new building. It was a nice walk with breathtaking views of rows and rows of tea plants. The B&B was very close to the Sunset trail and we walked on the trail just before sunset and witnessed the sun coming out from behind the clouds. That itself was worth the trip to Shizhao. It was a little bit cold in the room at night but it was not a big deal for us. The complimentary breakfast the following morning was good. We were also dropped off (for free) at Shizhao bus stop upon check-out for our trip up to Alishan. We were glad we stayed one night at a tea plantation. It was a very tranquil and relaxing experience. The beauty of the place was a soothing balm on our souls.

Great location in Alishan with nice trails around the minsu. Room looks out to tea plantations. Has an area for watching sunrise which is a 10 min slow walk from your room. The family room has nice loft for the third bird. There is balcony that looks out to plantations. Otherwise the room itself is pretty basic but comfortable. Some cute elements here and there. The breakfast is Taiwanese buffet style - not the best. The hotpot dinner is worth it especially on a cold night. The minsu in Alishan are mostly overpriced so this one is worth your money. Just don’t mind some of the decor, which was not to my taste

This homestay/B&B is run by a lovely couple who, with their sons and daughter, also farm tea and ginger. They generously demonstrated tea cultivation and processing from start to finish. A good location from which to explore Alishan National Recreation Area.

A good location if you want to have a quiet time away from the touristy parts of Alishan/ Taiwan. Suitable for two nights max. of peace and doing nothing but stare at nature. Great for signature traditional Alishan tea, which is complimentary. It is advisable to book a taxi with the hotel in advance as it is not easy to find and navigate. (think very windy and narrow mountain roads) Meals begin at 8am and 6pm respectively and hot food is not readily available unless you are fine with instant noodles. You can ask the taxi driver to stop you somewhere to buy food before going up the mountain. Some rooms have a view of the the sunrise. Let the hotel know in advance. Do note that heavy rainfall I expected between April to June due to the altitude. Hotel staff are generally helpful but limited in their manpower and resources; do plan with them in advance if you would like a tour of Alishan or going to specific destinations.

We were a group of 4 and had a very nice time at Dang Guei Homestay. The staff was very helpful and friendly, the rooms large, clean and sunny, and on top of that, a really nice view (I could see the so-called sea of clouds sunrise from my bedroom). A very nice place with...humm...interestingly decorated rooms. I would stay there again although it was a little bit overpriced (but according to my research similar to other properties in the area).

My wife and I stayed at Yeashow Villa for two nights in order to hike the many beautiful trails in this area. We made the reservation on Booking.com. The Villa has an amazing location: It is located a block from the bus station and literally just steps from the train, which we took going back down on our return to Taipei. The price was very reasonable (pay in cash upon arrival). Our room was in a newer building a very short walk from the main building and was clean and comfortable. The staff were amazing! One of them took us on an impromptu evening walk to a nearby grove to see countless fireflies blinking in the dark! He also ran after us to give us an umbrella when we were caught in the rain. Recommendations for places to eat were excellent. The only glitch was that the wifi router in the new building failed, so to do internet work we went over to the main lobby. Not a big deal, and they've probably already fixed it. Very enjoyable stay, and we highly recommend it!
