Une partie de nos chambres ont été rénovées en 2005 et les autres ont été construites en 2014, vous offrant le confort d’un hôtel de grande classe tout en gardant le charme d’une bâtisse historique. Reviewed By Maryann BWe were walking the Chemin des Trois-Lacs path so were looking for an overnight stop in Estavayer-le-Lac. The hotel was central and was very nicely decorated, both in our bedroom and the public areas. We had a large room, high ceilings, overlooking a quaint street at the back of the hotel (no noise at all). Good shower and only minor "quibbles" (my preference) were the lack of individual shampoo, conditioner and body lotion (the "all-encompassing gel" instead!) and a "public style" loo roll holder! Dinner in the restaurant was very good indeed (see separate review) and therefore breakfast, while perfectly adequate, was a little disappointing. Bread, croissant, cheese, meat, eggs, etc all on offer but woul have liked a little more "local fayre". Regardless, I would definitely recommend a stay here.

Simple yet intimate ambiance of the hotel, spot on decoration enhancing the hotel' place in its surroundings. Reviewed By Bibbi RI had the vegetarian alternative wich was delishous! The other options also sounded great so I will for sure come back another time. Portions are big so great for the hungry or to share! Staff is very friendly and location is great in the middle of this cute little town!

Reviewed By RSB78The positives to write about this family owned , old world hotel is that the rooms are spacious (2 rating for them) and it is very close to the Bus stop. Now what you should also know are the following: 1. There is no staff in the hotel most parts of the day and during the night. It is really scary to be in a hotel when you know that you are the only occupants :)). We stayed, because it was in Switzerland. Even though the booking sites show that all rooms are gone, which we found out was completely false and I will term it a scam. There was no one for key handover, even though we reached after 4pm. The owner sound very surprised on our arrival and guided us through a self help drill to open the hotel. 2. The breakfast is a big let down, nothing to write about. 3. Restaurant is a word, just as a part of the name. There was no such thing on the premises. Might have been there many years ago, given the large eating area. 4. It is around 2kms form the Bulle station and centre. Hardly good eating options around, except for a small quiet neighbourhood, but the road outside is very busy (given that it is a small town)...so be careful if with children. 5. Difficult to enter with a stroller and no lift. 6. Very expensive, even by Swiss rates and given the offerings.

Nice Place to Wind Down
Reviewed By rms98Spent a night here in mid June 2019 on our way to Geneva. Very nice, spacious, clean and comfortable rooms. The place looked well maintained. From the windows, we could see the valleys and mountains. Very memorable stay. Reasonable prices too. But no TV in the room although this was not important to us.

Reviewed By Anita BVery clean and quiet room, marvellous view from the balcony and the garden, We, a family of 3, were very well taken care of at this picturesque hotel. The owner (?) even came early in the morning to serve us breakfast as we had to leave before the restaurant opened. The restaurant seemed very popular as there were a lot of people every night even though the place is practically on the countryside. Merci beaucoup! KIITOS!

Simple but decent
Reviewed By DGieskensThis is a fairly simple hotel. It has a few rooms and a small breakfast area and that is it. The rooms are decent with beds that are ok. They are not the most comfortable beds, but they are good enough for this type of hotel (I have had (much) worse in better hotels). The bathroom is simple (shower, wash table and toilet), but modern and clean. Breakfast is ok as well. It had a choice of breads, cheeses, meats, cereals, yoghurts, coffee/tea, etc. No eggs or any hot dishes. WiFi was included. I found the price somewhat on the high side, considering it is only a rather basic hotel, but then again, part of that may be due to the fact that the Euo has weakened so much against the Swiss Franc. With the exchange rate of a few years ago, this might actually have been a good price. In summary: simple, straightforward, but good enough beds for one or a few nights.
